Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. For the price the room was very disappointing very very small bed very close to the the large window overlooking a busy building site so privacy limited. no storage space for clothes and very little room to walk around in the room, however room was very clean and ok for a single person stay

Beware of the small rooms. I knew when booking the room would be cosy but it is the smallest room ive stayed in. Some decor needs repair, one of the lamps was not working in the room and the shower was leaking under the shower door onto the floor. Overall the price does not reflect any overall quality, however the staff were pleasant and welcoming. Also be prepared to pay a deposit when checking in (as this is not made clear at time of booking). Location is good if your are attending a gig in the 3arena. There is no car park at the hotel.

The rooms we had were spectacular. The staff and service were spectacular as well. We hated to leave!

Only stayed for one night but was modern, clean and comfortable

Personal and nice place to stay. Good food on top floor. Very near city’s restaurant and hang around area. Only 15min from the airport.

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Very quirky, great facilities- the pool area was the highlight of the stay along with the fab record selection. Great penthouse suite. Sadly the room was dusty and there was an unusual tapping sound that kept us awake both nights of our stay.

Only complaint is the smell. It was literally unbearable in corridor and bedroom. Other than that it was fab!

Very comfortable and homely hotel - would recommend

It’s difficult to review The Mayson, as there’s so many super things about it, the restaurants, spa, bars, staff are all exceptional. The hotel is very designed-led and looks great in every area, but unfortunately it is definitely a case of form over function when it comes to the bedrooms. All the bedrooms look great they’re just not well designed for a business traveller, or for a couple. There are no drawers at all in the bedrooms. None. There are no hanging rails for your shirts and suits other than coat hooks. There’s no space to put your wash bag around the sink, none. The switches for the lights in the bathroom are on the opposite wall in the bedroom and hidden behind the coat hooks. As is the air-conditioning control which is seriously difficult to operate. There’s no shortage of minibar items and snacks, but there is no iron or ironing board in the room. There’s no focus lighting for a lady to do her makeup or see what they’re wearing. The one long mirror is in a dark position with no feature lighting. in general, I have to say the hotel is not suitable for a couple to spend more than one night as you literally cannot unpack your suitcase as there’s nowhere to put your clothes. It’s probably fine for a single business traveller on a one night stay, not suitable for longer than that. it looks beautiful, the amenities outside of the bedroom are fantastic, but the bedrooms really are poorly thought through, even if they look lovely on first impression.

Well presented boutique style hotel with excellent restaurant on the top floor..
Rooms on the small side but well equipped with large TV, espresso machine, Smeg fridge, confectionary and a comfy bed.

First time using The Mayson Hotel, upon checking in with the lovely reception staff Nic, the stay deteriorated considerably:-
The room was perfect, the en-suite was comfortable and inviting.
The bed wasn’t comfortable it had a join in the centre, not great for sleeping
The linen on the bed could have been thoroughly checked as they were staining
Went to Elephant and Castle and the service was awful and not very welcoming
The breakfast in Rayleigh’s was bad
All in all, the hotel had some good points because of the staff such as Nic, Aris, Dave, Ric and James
I don’t think it’s really worth the price but I could be wrong
The only wow factor was the decor and the ambience

Lovely but room was tiny as was double bed

Hotel was really nice only little let down was the curtains did not go far enough across to block out the spotlight from the crane in the construction going on next door which shone right on the bed apart from that the hotel is great breakfast good as well and a pub next door

Interesting modern design. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Sauna etc very nice.
Let down by vast building site as the view from our window with security floodlighting and loud generator that made sleep really difficult.

Amazing hotel so loved staying here and will definitely stay again. Staff are wonderful the hotel is chic and different the room was small and compact but still was great and brilliant views through the floor to ceiling window. Absolutely great hotel, just a nightmare to get your deposit back, which was also not stated when booking that I would need to pay €100 for each room I booked but other than that it’s a fantastic clean hotel

We had booked a "super room" which includes a king size bed. We stayed for 3 nights and ended up getting the small room. This was inconvenient for 3 nights.

It’s a lovely contemporary hotel in convenient location and I would stay here again when in Dublin.
Was not an issue for me, but light sleepers may wish to ask for a room on lower floors. I was on the 5th floor, immediately bellow the restaurant, and could hear the chatter clearly until it closed for the night.

I was in need of some late night snacks, dropped in at 21:30 to the “Elephant and Castle Restaurant “ within the Mayson Dublin hotel.
The service was exceptional, had s Old Fashion drink, beet root salad and cauliflower wings. Just wonderful! Food and service amaxing!

Lovely stay! Highly recommend it! Stayed here for a weekend trip with a friend. Great visit to the spa. Had the best steak at the rooftop restaurant as well! Would absolutely come back!

The staff was really helpful and friendly! The room looked nice and we had a great view over the river. The shower had great water pressure! Restaurant downstairs has decent food and the breakfast on the upper floor was fantastic. The downsides: the room was quite small, since we had two large suitcases and barely fit with them in the room; the walls were paper thin, we heard what the neighboring rooms were talking about; also the construction site on the other side of the road made quite loud noises to which we woke up. All in all, looks great, staff is exceptional, but if youre a light sleeper like us, this hotel is not for you.

The design and architecture was fabulous and many dining options. Only a short walk to the action

Hotel itself and the room was very nice and in a great location. We stayed there for a night as we were going to a gig near by. Naturally it was busy in the hotel. We knew it would be hard to get food without having booked so decided we would like a drink in the hotel lobby beside the elephant and castle restaurant and bar. Sadly for us having queued for a short time to get served we were told that residents could only get a drink in the bar next door (which was packed). This despite their being several seats free in the lobby snd s small queue in the bar. While i understand the principle behind this policy to some extent it feels arbitrary and like a policy designed without consideration of what may be happening on the ground. We headed off and found a nice place closer to the gig that served us our drink happily. Feels like an opportunity lost here to look after a resident of the hotel.

The front desk staff at the Mayson were amazing! They were friendly, helpful, and let me check my bags in early. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was so relaxing. The Mayson is about a mile away from central Dublin, but the walk wasn’t bad at all.

We LOVED our stay here! The staff was extremely professional, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very nice with a cool style and amazing bathroom. The gym and sauna were incredible. Walkable to the main pub area by the river. Would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely modern hotel with plenty of dining options in the restaurants and bars. Very nice rooftop restaurant to have breakfast. Staff were very attentive and Nick on reception when we checked in gave us plenty of options of places that he thought we may like to visit. Whole hotel was air conditioned which was welcome as unusually was a hot weekend! We only had the basic standard double room & although very small, it had everything we needed. Walking distance to Temple Bar area although there seemed to be plenty of public transport options. Would definitely recommend the hotel and would visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Nick at the front desk is the real asset of the property - amazing service second to none!

Excellent hotel on the Dublin Docklands. Given a corner room facing the river which was an absolute gem. Very spacious. Very friendly staff who were able to meet any requests. Didn't eat at the restaurant but it smelt amazing as I left that evening.

This is a fantastic hotel with the friendliest staff. Very clean and very well done. Effortlessly cool and welcoming. Would highly recommend!

Service was excellent. Rooms were comfy, small but this can be seen in the photos. The only downside was that the rooms are advertised as “soundproofed rooms”. There was construction work taking place outside which we could hear, we could also hear other guests in their room while walking down the corridor.
