The area was beautiful.
Nice place to stay after the hike.
Resteraunt ran out of almost everything on the menu.
Wifi didn't work.
Room was terrible small.
Water pressure was non existent.
I normally would not complain, but for $400+ a night I feel like I should.

breakfast not included
arrived and found small lodge number 9 not clean and front doir broken and shoddily fixed with black tape

Close to Johnston Canyon waterfalls trail head. And that's it unfortunately...
Dusty, old, uncleaned since 1977, broken windows, were-mosquitos, body hairs found in bed sheets, very expensive!

cozy cottage, spacious and well equipped, great central location to explore Banff, Yoho and Kootenay NP

The Furner was very noisy, I could not sleep and I was worried because it gets so hot that we could burn if we were not careful.

Cabins are old. No microwaive.

Really beautiful little cabins in a wonderful location. Facilities were fairly basic but included everything necessary, and to be honest you don’t go expecting a 5 star resort - it’s perfect for what was needed, a relaxing and recharging break in beautiful nature!
The bistro was a little overpriced IMO but I suppose it’s a bit of a captive market. I wish there were a few more healthy food options in the shop (some salads would have been lovely), rather than quite so many souvenirs (although I understand why they’re there). lastly, most of the staff were LOVELY, especially the check in staff and the waitresses in the restaurant, but some of the shop staff were a little grumpy/unhelpful.

The location and view is perfect.
The receptionist is nice. But our cabin was dirty, lots of dust, cob webs in kitchen area and the floor was dirty. We have to call their attention and ask someone to do some cleaning. Being rustic is acceptable because we came to enjoy the nature but how can we do that if we have dirty place to stay. The house keeper cleaned the area that I pointed out. Not that clean but better. I hope you improve the cleanliness because it's a big thing.

Very close to Johnson Canyon trail.
We stayed 2 different nights. Accommodation is very basic. Not comfortable.

loved this little stay. tennis, hiking off property, a restaurant on site, it was great!
bedding and art could be a little more up to date.

Amazing location. Very cute bungalows, well furnished and comfy beds
Lots and lots of mosquitoes. If they stayed outside that would be fine, but they found ways to get in the cabins. We finally kept them out by duct taping some of the looser windows...was great after we did that! :D

Loved the location tucked away in the woods next to the Johnston Canyon trail. My husband and I stayed in one of the Red Cabins and we thought it was great. The staff at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely stay here again. We loved Johnston Canyon Bungalows!

Proximity to Canyon, that is all.
Between Booking.com and the lodge, communication is terrible. Could not get a reply from Booking.com to change my reservation from 2 nights to 1 night. I asked the lodge twice if it would be an issue and they said it should be no problem. When I arrived they even crossed out our second night’s stay. I was charged for both nights. Reached out to Booking.com again and haven’t heard back. I also reached out to the lodge and they said it wasn’t their problem. For $250/night, we could barely enjoy our stay; beds were very uncomfortable and it wasn’t very clean. The food was not worth the price. Turned into $500 for the one night and let me tell you, I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Nice location. Rustic cabin.
Cabin could have been cleaned better, needed to be dusted.

The location is beautiful, and the good at the restaurant was delicious. Restaurant service was also wonderful.
The staff at the front desk were not very friendly or helpful. The accommodations are very poor...mouse poop in the cabins, dirty sheets, musty smell and very uncomfortable bed. The cafè served over priced stale coffee and Costco muffins for breakfast. But anything else was such a far drive, so your options are limited.

Love being in the mountains and quietly away from the business of downtown Banff. This is my 2nd stay here and I’m sure I will be back.
Could use an upgrade on the beds.

We went to the cafe early one morning before our hike and the pastries were to die for!
Only two things that were less of not liking just more of a future note that I think would be good to mention in the welcome email:
Note that the doors were self locking. None of the emails or receptionist let us know so we locked ourselves out (which was after hours) and we hand no contact or how to have someone assist us.
Luckily our neighbour told us about staff on site in a cabin that we were able to track down someone!
