Room was very nice. Room and bathroom was comfortable and clean. Location was exellent, with access to bars, restaraunts, and shopping at a short walking distance.
Had a balcony, but view was of an alley and elevated parking lot. Renovation was being performed during our stay, and noise was a bit loud during the day.

Very good location. Rooms nice. A little expensive, but that's california. We were leaving on a cruise so wanted to be close. My companion had just lost her husband of 50 years so I wanted to do something nice for her. In addition she had a mild stroke which caused her to slur. We got to hotel at 2 pm. They have a very nice restaurant bar area. Did not open We were told until 3 pm. We had not had much to eat, so we walked down street to a restaurant to get a appetizer. We returned at 3 pm as we were told restaurant was to be opened then. We actually cut our visit short at the other restaurant to go to this nice restaurant in hotel. We were then told it opened at 4 pm. A very nice restaurant manager saw We were disappointed in the misinformation and offered us to sit in the lobby and offered us a complimentary glass of wine. He even came back and ask if he could offer another glass because the restaurant doors were still closed at 4 pm. My friend went to closed door at 4:30, just to see if anyone was in there. There was a menu stuck in door, I assume to hold the doors closed until they opened. My friend pulled the menu out to look at offerings. She was immediately apologetic to the staff and said she just wanted to look at menu. She got a rude response, do she gave menu back.
We finally were able to get into restaurant a little before 5
We ask for menu and a glass of wine. We were tired and wanted to go to bed early. We had two glasses of water set before us and nobody would wait on us, stating, a member of the restaurant staff, felt we were ovetserved. This was because my companions speech was slurred due to her stroke. REALLY!!!!!. I ORDERED French fries and charged to room.
We left hotel and went across the street to a wonderful restaurant, but as you can imagine, my friend was hurt.
When we returned to hotel, I asked to speak to a manager. I was pretty upset by this time.
If this incident had not happened . It would have been an excellent stay. It was so rude and uncalled for. I will Never stay at this chain again. I even wrote to main office with no response returned.
