I’m glad we had fun outdoor activities planned. Location was great, but the unit was underwhelming.

Location was great, and garden was lovely.

The room we stayed in had no view, was unexpectedly small, and smelled like an old smoker’s home. The photos on the site mostly highlighted the other two units on the property, and it wasn’t clear which one we reserved.

We celebrated our 35th Anniversary on the most scenic private point in Friday Harbor.

The view was fabulous and there was lots of wild life. The Captains Quarter was spacious and the deck was a bonus. We were able to see boats, floats planes, and ferries in the sun and the fog. Lots of great views we will never forget.

The spiral rock staircase between parking and getting to the room was very steep and a little rickety. Access with groceries or wearing heels for going to dinner was a little less enjoyable.

If we could both quit our jobs and move to this magical place we would.

We originally were scheduled to stay in the smaller unit - but due to a water heater issue that was very quickly resolved we were offer an upgrade to a larger unit which was fabulous. The view was amazing, we were able to watch the sun set and rise, the ferries come and go and all of of the harbor action. we truly did not want to leave.

The amount of stairs could be an issue for some people - did not bother us. But we also realized stairs are sort of a thing in Friday Harbor.

We Really Loved Our Stay at Harbor Lights

Loved, loved, loved the location. The views were phenomenal.

The house was very dated and not very clean. Everything needs to be cleaned better.

We greatly enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time. The hostess was responsive and available.

The view of the harbor and close proximity to downtown. We saw a pair of seals playing in the harbor.

The steps were pretty steep and there wasn't good TV channel selection.

Lovely location, views, and staff, but can’t book better of two rooms.

The location is really nice. Very close to downtown, beautiful views from the unit. Heat works great and the room was very clean. Staff was very friendly and parking was convenient as well.

There’s no AC, but there is a fan that helps a bit. Maybe just a misunderstanding on my part, but the pictures led me to believe that the unit we were renting had lots of windows looking out on the bay. There are two units however, and the one we got has 1 window that looks onto the water, but doesn’t give nearly as much as a view. Felt a little strange about that.

Amazing views of harbor--even a rainbow during our stay

Location and views are wonderful, and we enjoy having a kitchen to prepare meals in. Wifi and cell coverage worked perfectly. Love all the big picture windows in the comfortable living room.

The facilities inside unit are in need of some renovation, especially kitchen cabinets, drawers, stove, and highly scratched-up pans. Also, floor in master BR droops downward significantly toward front of unit--more so than 2 years ago. We hope it doesn't cave in! Despite note under TV that guests can sign into Netflix and Amazon, it didn't work.

Dissappointing.

The view was nice.

The living room area rug was filthy & unvacuumed. The upstairs bed was unusable as it squeaked so much you couldn't sleep. We took out dishes for our take out food and the first several plates had dried food on them. We washed our dishes but left the dirty ones we found. The inside stairs going upstairs start with a very low step which causes tripping going up and down the stairs. Only 3 hand towels for 2 people for 5 days was insufficient.

I had to phone when we got there because there are a number of units on the same staircase and I did not know at first which was ours.

Amazing, peaceful and just what we needed!

The views from the property were amazing. My daughters swam off the dock and everything was peaceful and serene. It’s a perfect getaway place. Ed was amazing and told us about the island and helped us with the stairs that lead to the property.

The stairs leading in and out of the property are tough to manage if you have bad knees.

We loved it here! Perfect for two people. The best part was drinking coffee every morning while watching the beautiful harbor! Jennifer was exceptional and so accommodating!

Beautiful setting, small place. Loved visiting San Juan Islands.

The location was charming- right on the harbor, beautiful gardens. Bed/linens was extremely comfortable.

It's very tiny. And it was stiflingly hot without AC that week (I suspect this is a bit unusual for the San Juan Islands). Tolietries not visible initially.
