The Height of Charm at the Top of the Hill

Helpfulness , attentiveness and graciousness of the staff. Stunning location and views. Immaculately clean with well maintained grounds. Gorgeous, original design. Great cooked breakfasts.

More plug sockets please. Kettle and mugs as standard. ( although they arrived immediately when asked for) Our room with its steep, but immensely characterful staircase, may not work for the elderly or mobility impaired.

The view and the architecture

The air condition on the lower floor was not working during all our stay since it didn’t have the cooling agent which means that there was not proper maintenance.

Superb

It offers a a amazing view. The bed was very comfortable and the location is also good.

The breakfast was not impressive. They offer fresh orange juice that is nice. It is worthy to have your breakfast there for the view.

Kimolos in early season - very quiet, but we loved it

Amazing location overlooking Psathi and almost the whole island. l A very quirky but comfortable room and a fantastic breakfast. it was windy but that was not unexpected. All the staff were delightful, full of local knowledge and very friendly and helpful.

Amazing views, great location, the friendliest staff and a delicios breakfast.

The room was very comfortable and large, the top floor of a converted windmill! The ouside space of the property was really lovely with lots of nice spots to sit and relax and take in the view. Location wise, it was easy to get to the port and the main Chora, although we had a scooter which made it alot more accesible. The breakfast was absolutley delicious. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and welcoming. Would absolutely stay again!

The only thing we thought let it down was the mattress. It was a little on the uncomfy side, but I'm sure they probably replace it every year and we were at the end of the season. It wouldn't stop me going back again.

Great place on a great Greek island.

Staff top quality. Breakfast excellent and taken on terrace with wonderful views, Comfy bed. Excellent shower. Very nice cocktails of an evening.

We chose the smallest room, 15sq m and I had to duck to enter bathroom (I am 5ft 9ins) but it has been a windmill.

UNIQUE EXPERIENCE TO STAY IN A WINDMILL WITH AMAZING VIEWS

The most memorable part of our stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of the Team, Karen and Mariana and Eleni, the Aria representative who could not have been more helpful. Windmill is beautifully appointed, not surprisingly, since it is situated at the top of a very steep hill, it is better to have a hire car. (This is true of getting around Kimolos in general as there was only one taxi and no water taxis in May). The Windmill has been restored to the highest quality. The top room is not very big, but there is a communal terrace on by the bar which can be used. The garden is well looked after and the views stunning. Not for anyone with mobility issues though - or vertigo!

I struggled with the steep hills - not something the Windmill team could change! I should have done more research into the terrain at Kimolos before booking. Entirely my fault.

A magic spot on a magic island.

Boutique style conversion of historic windmill with stunning panoramic views located between port below and Chora local village above with both being a short walk away as are nearest small beaches and coves . Kimolos is Greece as it used to be . Very helpful and pleasant staff. On site parking although steep driveway access. Good choice of breakfast served on external terrace which at night is used as cocktail bar area.

The Best Hotel of the Most Beautiful Cycladic Island, Kimolos.

The Windmill is the Best Hotel in Kimolos. Period. A traditionally restored windmill has been recently renovated to create an elegant, exclusive and intimate hotel. It’s located at the top of a small hill and we stayed at the top room, the most beautiful one, so from there we could enjoy the amazing view of Kimolos with Milos and Poliegos on the background, together with breathtaking sunsets. Panos, Eleni and Vasilis of Aria Hotels went above and beyond in order to make our staying perfect: they took us from and to the port, they moved our luggage from one hotel to the other and they arranged a day for us in Bonatsa beach. We went to Kimolos on a trip where we visited a total of 8 Cycladic islands, Kimolos was by the far the most beautiful and the staff along with the facilities at the Windmill was what made our trip one that we will never forget.

Exceptional

When we arrived we saw the windmill from the port. The location is super central and close to all the nicest beaches, the town and the port. Panos was super kind and helped us with everything during our stay. The breakfast that was included was great, we can’t fault this place and highly recommend it if you are staying in Kimolos :)

Great relaxing vacation! A tiny bit more attention to detail would make this a premium stay

Perfect location with an amazing view! Beds were super comfy! Good, responsive staff, great little snack bar. Good breakfast, make sure to ask for the breakfast menu.

A check list would help to ensure consistency in servicing the rooms. Better umbrellas, it gets windy. An expandable exterior drying rack, shower string was not enough. Provide beach towels. Replenish water in the rooms or at least have cold water available in an external fridge when snack bar is closed.

If you love a view and don't mind wind (after all, this is a windmill), this place is exceptional!

Dimitra not only made sure we had breakfast but also made our son happy by leaving him a towel crocodile on his bed after cleaning the room. Staff was in general helpful and friendly.

Great outdoor, small indoor

Amazing views and nicely arranged terrace. Good breakfast. There is no food or drinks available during the day but the outdoor bar opens at 6:30pm until midnight with incredible homemade fresh mojitos.

The room was smaller then I expected from the pictures. Check-in was confusing and didn’t feel vey professional. Nobody told us the reception was in a completely separate property. Steep walk up the hill to get back home, better be in good shape.

What a view

Loved the view & the uniqueness of staying in a windmill, as well the closeness to the beautiful town.

Felt like a lot of money for what it actually was, but you’re paying for the view more than anything. Would have been great to have a clothes airer outside. The breakfast situation was a little weird but to be fair we only had it once during our stay.
