Beautiful but rustic property. Beautiful lake views from the house. Nice quiet, peaceful lake loved sitting out on the dock in the morning. Had a great family time here! We were here during a heat wave so there were times when it was very hot without AC in the main area. But there are plenty of fans and AC units in three of the bedrooms. Lots of dehumidifiers, which helped too. We could definitely make this an annual. area. But there are plenty of fans and AC units in three of the bedrooms. Lots of dehumidifiers, which helped too. We could definitely make this an annual place to visit with our family!

My family had an incredible week at this lake house! The house itself is filled with amenities, including travel essentials in case you forgot anything and a full first-aid kit. The game closet was stocked with options for all ages and tastes, entertaining our 9 and 13-year-olds, as well as the adults. The view from the porch was amazing, and we enjoyed many meals there. We loved having separate docks for swimming and fishing, and we were grateful for access to the boats. The lake was beautiful! We spent hours swimming, fishing, and boating. The owner was very responsive and kind.Just a heads-up: this is a six-level split-level house with even more steps down to the lake, so it's not ideal for those with bad knees. Also, as an older home by the lake, it had a "camp clean" feel, meaning we saw a few bugs and ants here and there. Nothing problematic or invasive, just what you'd expect. The only other downside was that only two rooms had air conditioning, making the other rooms a bit warm at night, even with fans.

We really like Lake Garfield, and the house had very good access to the lake. The house is somewhat tired, and there were some things that could use attention like lamps and bulbs that didn't work, but the host was very responsive and we had an enjoyable week.
