Great place to stay just out of the villages. Being the first time we have ever gone to Vail, there was a learning curve to the transportation system, but once we figured it out things were pretty smooth. There was a bus stop right outside of the condo, and the condo was excellent. We weren’t real fond of the stairs and the way the building is set up, the elevator doesn’t actually go to the first floor. However we’re all young and in good shape, and when I say young I mean under 50. Therefore, the steps were not a big deal for us. The condo itself was excellent. Probably one of the nicer places we’ve ever stayed on VRBO. It was clean and had a nice fireplace that was electric, so we could have it on even if we weren’t cold. We only stayed for a week, so we weren’t able to figure out what all the buttons were in the smart cabin, but it was fun trying. All in all, great place to stay, great communication from the manager, and less than 15 minutes to get to downtown Vail.

This property was so smart it was refreshing. Location is across the street from bus stop and short walk to Lionshead Village. Owner and manager were extremely accommodating and friendly. Exactly the kind of Condo one could inspire to own.

Breakaway West is a quick shuttle ride to the slopes - this condo was well appointed with more tech options than I've seen at the many Vail rentals I've stayed out. Good communication from the rental agency - A+

Great location. Quiet. Clean and updated. Only 2 minor issues. Netflix and TV did not work. Tv was for local channels only. Fitness center is an old treadmill, a bike and some dumbbells. Not open in early am. Would have liked to lift before days activities.

3 TVs during March Madness, woot woot. Kitchen was very well equipped which was great because we were way to tired to go out to eat. No complaints at all. Hot Tubs were nice as well. Super easy to catch a bus to anywhere

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Vail!! This condo definitely had an amazing remodel, and high tech update. We enjoyed the TVs everywhere!! The lighting, heating bathroom lamps. settings, tv controllers all were fantastic. And what a nice perk... a heated toliet seat and bidet! We did use the hot tubs and heated pool which were very convenient, as well as walk next door to Local Joes Pizza which we'd highly recommend! You can't go wrong renting this condo!!!

Everything I hoped it would be!
Loved our stay! Understand, this condo is not in the Vail village but anyone looking at it hopefully knows that already and will appreciate the "bang for the buck". If you're okay with riding the shuttle to the slopes, this is a great choice since it's right at a bus stop. The actual unit is beautiful and handles three to five people easily (note, tell the owner if you want twin beds since we found them pushed together to make a queen). You'll have fun the whole week just figuring out the light switches and how to turn on the fireplace, let alone skiing! I don't need to say a lot about the actual unit since the pictures certainly do it justice - believe what you see! It IS a little tricky to find, however, if you aren't familiar with the complex. Take the Sandstone bus route and get off at the Vail Run bus stop. Go to the building BEHIND the one you see from the street and then go up to the SECOND floor (even though the unit is #333). I have to admit, we wandered around awhile looking for it, lol. The shuttle ride to the slopes takes 10 minutes and the bus comes often (get the NextBus app on your phone for real-time predictions) and always had room for us (we skied mid-week so weekends may vary). There is a Safeway grocery store a mile or two down the road which you can get to via the bus line (although requires changing buses). We used the bus getting there but took an Uber back. Another note: we didn't find paper towels or laundry soap in the unit and the complementary bars of soap are tiny so bring or buy extra). Overall, this place lives up to its advertising and helped make our visit to Vail memorable. I have no qualms about recommending it to you and hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Just what we needed
The space was exactly as pictured and everything was in working order. The booking and check-in/check-out process was smooth. The parking was a bit challenging at times due to the construction zone around the building. Would gladly stay here again!

The property is beautiful, comfortable and clean inside
The exterior of the building needs some repair and landscaping. The elevator was also not working and there are 5 flights of stairs to get to the property. The stairs are short flights, but in the thin air it makes it challenging. There was major construction on the building at the entrance so it made it a bit challenging to find and navigate. It is located across from the main village, but free day parking is available to go into town. Otherwise for the price it is comfortable and clean with nice finishes.

Nice, clean property, very comfortable
The electronics are a little outdated and confusing to use, but once we figured it out, everything worked well. The place is comfortable and close to Lionshead and Vail Village. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Beautifully remodeled, very comfortable and cozy
We were pleasantly surprised to find this property was even nicer inside than the pictures showed. It was small but comfortable for our group of 4. The kitchen appliances and cookware were like new, as were the towels and linens. We took advantage of the 2 hot tubs and heated pool all 3 nights. The complex was quiet and very conveniently located - less than a mile walk over to Vail Town Center and numerous shops and restaurants. The only downside was having to drag luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs, but it was worth it! Would highly recommend, especially for the price.

High-tech, luxurious condo
Our family of four, including two teenagers, stayed here over President's Day Weekend 2017 and had a wonderful time. It is the most high-tech condo we've ever seen, and we've rented condos all over the U.S. and Europe. It looks even better than the pictures. All lights, and numerous flatscreen TVs, have multiple controllers. Apple TV and Netflix are included. Very modern kitchen. My wife was so enamored of the heated master toilet/combination bidet that she wants one for her birthday. It was impressive. Sleeps five, with a comfortable sofabed in the living room. Two full bathrooms. Two communal outdoor hot tubs are a short walk away. The outdoor swimming pool was closed when we were there. Located across the interstate and west of Lionshead less than a mile. Free town bus stop is 100 yards away but we found it easier, with four skiers, to pay the $25 per day to park at Lionshead. We had one minor issue arise, called the agent late on Saturday and the problem was solved in literally two minutes. The owners rearranged their vacation schedule to accommodate our stay. This condo was a very good value and we would gladly stay here again. If only Vail's lift lines were shorter . . .
