We were really happy with this rental for a ski vacation. The location is ideal - easy walk to restaurants in the evening, shuttles regularly stop right out front to take us to the gondola, and the 4oclock to town trail ends right across the street, so practically ski-in accommodation. It was nice that once we parked our car in the garage we didn't have to use it again until we left. Key pickup and dropoff was in the rental company's building, but that is located just around the corner. The amenities in the complex were also appreciated. There were three functioning hot tubs (the fourth was snowed in that weekend) - one outside by the pool, one outside connected to the health club and one inside in the health club. This was appreciated when it was especially cold and we wanted to limit walking outside while wet. We managed to find an available hot tub every evening. We also appreciated the restaurant in the basement for our arrival day when we wanted something easy and also for some late night snacks. The front desk also has ski valet to store your skis since they're not allowed in the rooms.Things to note about this unit: Both the murphy bed and the bed in the loft were comfortable for sleeping. Although there were two showers, the hot water was not strong enough for both showers to run at the same time at max heat, so we did have to take turns. Kitchen supplies are only pots/pans/dishes/etc and do not include things like cooking oil, so note that if picking up groceries. The dryer is old/slow, but did eventually dry clothes, just don't expect to it work in <45min. Four towels were available - we used two for showers and two for the hot tub (pool towels are not provided by the hotel for condo guests).

As always, Summit Rentals did not disappoint, nor did the ski-in location of River Mountain Lodge. The location is fabulous. From the Horseshoe Gulch Condo balcony (311W), you can watch family members ski in from the Four O'Clock Run. In the mornings, when we left to ski, we would pick up our skis from the front desk/concierge and walk outside the doors where we were picked up by a shuttle that would take us to the gondola or to the bottom of Peak 7. When you exit the back doors of River Mountain Lodge, you are steps away from Main Street - an area lit with Christmas lights and teeming with shops and restaurants. The property was clean and well-maintained. There is a master bedroom with its own bathroom in the loft area. The living room area has a sleeper sofa and a Murphy bed. This was really nice since my boys are 16 and 20. River Mountain Lodge does need to upgrade their hot tubs and saunas. Not all were functional, and not all functioned at a level they should. However, the climate control of River Mountain Lodge is good. Our family has stayed here twice in the last three years. We did not experience altitude sickness or headaches at night due to humidity issues. (We have stayed in other places in Breck where we ran multiple humidifiers in every bedroom & struggled to sleep soundly. This has not been necessary at River Mountain Lodge). I hope this information helps you in making a decision for your family.

We stayed in Breckenridge for a weekend soccer game and this location is unmatched to walk around town! We loved having a big open space with 2 bathrooms for a family of 4. Check in was a breeze and communication was great! We would absolutely stay again!

When we arrived the heat in the condo was on, not controlled by the thermostat. We called management, who contacted building maintenance. Tyler shut and bled the valves and corrected the problem in a very professional manner. Ashley, property manager, was very helpful and concerned for our comfort during our stay. Management was great in correcting the problem, but the unit on the west side of the building is on a very noisy, busy street with traffic all times of day and night. It was not enjoyable to spend any time on the patio. I would not recommend rental of this condo, but possibly something on the east side of the building along the river. The unit was very clean, well-maintained, and well stocked. I would rent again through Summit Mountain Rentals because of their responsiveness and professionalism in resolving the problems.

The condo is in a perfect location for shopping, restaurants, and the Gondola. It is nicely equipped. Tastefully decorated. We enjoyed our stay. The only drawback would be the summer months when needing to open windows. The street is very busy and loud 24/7. Also we prefer a contactless check in however the team was very nice and quick. They are attentive to all your needs. Would definitely rent again.

The location of this building is perfect! You can step out of the building, cross a bridge and be in the middle of downtown. We love being able to walk to restaurants or to get coffee. Very close to the gondola. Close drive to many hikes. This was our second stay in this lodge but a different unit. It is a bit run down (older carpet, showers a bit dingy due to lots of use) but the beds are comfortable and there was everything we needed. I would trade new and shiny for this location any day!

Stay was awesome . The only thing update coffee pot to a k-cup and Murphy bed need a little work the bars stick out need covers on steel bars . It was great vacation .

Great 1 bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms, full size kitchen, fireplace and balcony which could technically sleep 6. Last bus stop right outside to the gondola (or less than 10 min walk). Can ski down 4 o’clock run which finishes right opposite the condo building. 1 block from Main St. Can ski down for lunch. Great bar and friendly staff. Easy key pick up/drop off in building next door. Have all the use of building amenities including a few hot tubs, steam room and sauna.

As a premier VRBO property owner myself I was very pleased with the overall experience of renting this property. It was a good size property for my family of 4. 2 kids 12 and 8 years old. Any groups bigger or kids older might make this condo a bit too cozy. The property was clean and well maintained and the check in and out process was simple. The location is perfect during the ski season with a ski in location. This is not a ski out location but the free town shuttle stops (both directions) are right in front of the building I even walked a couple of mornings to the main ski village which took less than 10 minutes instead of taking the shuttle just because. The property amenities were a nice unexpected plus. There is a restaurant/bar as well as another afternoon bar in the lobby as well as a ski valet. Indoor and outdoor hot tubs as well as an outdoor pool were enjoyed by the kids. A two minute walk and you are at the center of Breck’s Main Street. Parking our car was also simple as this location has a parking garage. I would recommend this property to family and friends!

The River Mountain Lodge could not be in a better location! The free shuttle bus to the gondola and Peaks 7 & 8 stops right out front and you can ski Four O'clock at the end of the day, finishing just across the street. It's also just a short walk to Main Street with all its shops and restaurants.
The front desk and ski valet staff are courteous and attentive. We loved the Super Bowl party hosted in the bar in the lobby.
The condo was comfortable and clean. It would be tight if you had more than two couples. We had two adults and we each had out own space: one in the loft and the other in the Murphy bed in the living room.
I would definitely stay here again!

Great location, friendly staff, and clean condo. Upstairs shower was not working properly (drain clogged and shower overflowed) so used the downstairs the entire stay. Other than that, great place! Would suggest updating the TV’s to be able to stream our Netflix and/or other accounts.

Had a great time in Breckenridge over the weekened. The condo was great! Very clean and convenient to downtown. My husband and I were celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary and it was perfect for the 2 of us. It would be a great condo for a small family too.

Great condo in the center of town
This condo is right in the middle of everything. It is cozy and well appointed. It has a main floor living area and the master bedroom is on the second floor, accessible via spiral staircase with open balcony to the living room. There is no AC in this unit. That may not be a deal to the skiers, but in July, when I was there and the temperature was 80, it is something to be aware of.
Communication with the property management company was great. They have the system down pat for access, granting keys, check-out etc.
One thing to know is that this is a part of a complex that is both hotel rooms and condo units. The overall property was undergoing some much needed maintenance and upgrades, including tearing out a hot tub on the upper deck. There were/are four hot tubs on the property. One was completely non-functioning, the one being removed. The other three did not fully operate as intended. They were hot but with no jets. These were apparently being repaired, but with parts on back order.
All in all, this was a good stay and I would certainly go back to this property.

Serenity Off Main Street
The condo was perfect. Everything was clean and set up for us. After a super easy check in we got settled. We got to walk out and hit Main Street within minutes. We definitely would stay here again!
