L'ARENA - A most prestigious rental in the heart of the Historical Center
One of the most beautiful rentals in Bologna, a very comfortable, roomy and highly prestigious one, L’Arena apartment is named after the famous Arena Del Sole theatre which sits right across the street. Away from central yet seedy, messy areas such as the train and bus station and the University department, lively and very colorful, animated, this is the best section of the vibrant Historical Center. The classiest stores, restaurants, cafes, the best shopping and the most amusing strolling are all here, under the old arches of Via Indipendenza, the very heart of the Italian capital of youth, nightlife and gourmet cuisine – Bologna.
Hence, the easiness of getting around without any need for a car. The airport shuttle bus is at a stone’s throw, about 10 different bus lines to all the interest points in town and beyond are available at the door, the railroad station is at walking distance and so is Piazza Maggiore, the center of gravity of this stunning Medieval and Renaissance urban beauty.
L’Arena is part of one of the most elegant buildings bordering Via Indipendenza. A third floor (elevator) with a view over the avenue, extremely clean and well kept, it comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests in 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 large living-diningroom, a kitchen with all the tools provided, a hallway and a small terrace. Bedding is as follows:
- Room #1: one queen-size bed and one single;
- Room #2: two singles that can be put together to form a queen-size plus one single sofabed;
- Room #3: two single sofabeds;
- Room #4: one single bed
Furnished with choice antique furniture and craft (1800’s and 1900’s), decorated with love and zest with all the major appliances provided and in perfect working order, air conditioned and with high-speed wifi internet connection, L’Arena stands out for its class, traditional Bolognese style and comfort. It would be hard for you to find a more central and comfortable accommodation, a better spot to fully enjoy the life and the fun of this amazing city.
Other pluses: a large parking lot (garage – guarded) only about 40 mts., plenty of all kind of restaurants, pubs and pizzerias in the immediate vicinity (the most renowned restaurant in town is right across the street), Friday and Saturday open-air market in the nearby piazza, (huge, lot of fun!), theatres and movie theatres, monuments, museums, etc. right there for you to enjoy.

Huge apartment with antique furniture in a fantastic location in Bologna less than ten minutes from the historical center and the rail station.Location is most important for us-this location was ideal for Bologna . We stayed for 12 days and wish we had time for another week.Despite 95 degree heat when we were there, the air conditioning worked perfectly, something not often found in European apartments.The apartment is surrounded by neighborhood restaurants, each one was a dining experience and inexpensive compared to ordinary basic places in the US. Most of these were within 1-2 blocks of the apartment. We walked at all hours through this safe and pleasant area .We needed to catch a 0330 taxi to get to the airport when we departed. Carla, the apartment manager, booked it for us-something almost impossible to do without an Italian phone number, and relayed the taxi information to us when she received it ten minutes before the pickup.Yes you can lease cheaper apartments but we felt that we received great value

The hosts were lovely and responsive. The location of the apartment was exceptional, central and walkable to the station. Very little outside noise. We loved the sitting room especially.

Everything was great - very. The recommendations and directions in the binder were very comprehensive. And the provisions in the refrigerator were a nice touch and made us feel very welcome.Grazie mille!

Beautiful apartment! Convenient location! Easy walk from the train station to the apartment. Carla, our host could not have been more welcoming! We were meet at the apartment and given a full tour and information. When the weather turned colder, she followed up to be sure the room temps were comfortable for us. The antique furnishing adds an elegant Italian feel. The secure access to the building and the security doors made us feel very safe. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen has everything you need. Great coffee shop right downstairs and many restaurants close by. A friend had recommended this apartment to us, and we are so glad she did! I would definitely recommend.
