About this house rental
Nestled in Lake Tillery, this attractive house for $547 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Rustic 6 bedroom home on over 4,000 acre beautiful Lake Tillery, provides year around enjoyment. Antique furnishings are located through out the home, as well as vintage and modern furnishings. Bedrooms include two king size beds, two queen size beds, one full size beds and four twin beds. Three full baths and a fully stocked kitchen. All linens and sheets are included. Sleeps 14 people very comfortably. The fully screened in second story boat house provides plenty of space to enjoy the lake scenery. Outdoor fire pit, gas grill, air hockey, ping pong table and washer and dryer. Life jackets and chairs are for use at the dock. We have a special guest fishing permit so any one can fish on site without purchasing a fishing license. Home is located close to Swift Island Lake Tillery Boat Access and Launch site. (Our boats and boat slips are not available with rental) Within minutes of Tillery Tradition Golf, Eagles Nest Restaurant, Morrow Mountain State Park, Uwharrie National Forrest, wineries, antique shopping, marina and boat landings. Nearby activities include: Equestrian Facilities, Drive in Movies, Museums, Arts, Tillery Tradition Golf and Unique Antique Shops. Approximately an hour away from NASCAR's Lowes Motor Speedway, Concord Mills outlet mall in Concord, and Goldmines. located an hour and a half from Charlotte NC. Also within easy driving distance is Pinehurst with its world-class golfing, the Rockingham Dragway, the Asheboro NC Zoo, and of course, pottery located in the village of Seagrove. The perfect place for swimming, hiking, bird watching, wildlife viewing, boating, or just a relaxing getaway. Come stay for a while and enjoy all the spectacular views. Larger groups may be accommodated for an additional fee and cleaning deposit. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY!

My family had a wonderful time staying here. the new kitchen was awesome, loved the new ice maker,gas stove and gas grill, and double stove. Each of the rooms had very comfortable beds and plenty of room for all the kids and grand kids to play down stairs. the lake and boat house were so fun we spent hours in the water playing and then we had a picnic upstairs in the screened in boat house. It was the best family vacation. thanks Debbie for opening your lakefront property to us. thanks for the sweet snacks and drinks that welcomed us. a 5 star experience

Our group of Virginia Tech alum had an amazing time reuniting and catching up at this gorgeous property! The sprawling yard was great for our bocce ball games. We loved the big boat house and sat around the upstairs table chatting every night. The foam mat in the water was a great touch! Finding a lake house with 6+ private bedrooms can be difficult, so we felt lucky to have come across this home that fit all of our couples comfortably. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

This property is perfect for any situation. Whether you have water vessels or not it’s perfect. Lots of living and sleeping space. The kitchen is awesome. This was our fourth time spending our vacation here and we’re already planning for next vacation here. Not just the house but the boat dock is great for the kids to hang out and swim. The water is deep and clean. The boat landing is just up the channel and the main lake body is just down the channel. So accessible if you have a boat or jet skis. This property has the perfect location if you love the lake life. The owner is doing great things with the property to meet the needs of the renters. As for me and my family we will be renting again from Mrs. Millhouse.

Our group arrived at different times from Thursday afternoon through Friday evening. Checkin was as smooth as it can be. Property was awesome in terms of location/lake access. Overall, property suited our needs perfectly. A few details about the property. Kitchen was awesome and open floor plan really facilitated large group conversation and activity. The remainder of the property was really nice but a little dated in terms of decor. Really liked the antique furniture throughout though. Had a few minor issues worth mentioning that should help future renters : couldn't get back door to lock, TV was good but better have your account information for TV services because live TV was limited. TV set up for Roku, apps, etc. Dock and water access was awesome and appeared to be setup for water for wash down and upstairs sink but could not get it to turn on. On final day, house notes direct you to deliver all of your trash to solid waste container site about half mile down the road but it was closed when we were leaving on Sunday. Overall, great experience. And highly recommend River Wild restaurant.

This home is perfect for large groups. The interior layout had an open family/dining/kitchen with a deck facing the lake. There were ample bedrooms with beds for our family of 14. The owners supplied plenty of towels, as well as basic necessities. It was a wonderful week of vacation to end our summer.

Perfect for a large group. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The house was well taken care of and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We especially loved the ping pong table and canoe! Can’t wait to go back!

Very livable
This house is ideal for extended family. During the day there is plenty of room in the great room, game room, and dock for everyone to comfortably interact. Then, when it is time for individual families to sleep or rest, the house has three separate areas, each with bedrooms and a bath. Our grandchildren absolutely loved jumping from the dock into the deep water and swimming. They also spent many hours fishing from the boathouse, delighted with each little bluegill and crappie they caught. The supplies for s'mores were a big hit, too!

Dream vacation! We rented this vacation house so family from out of state could go to our cousins wedding. We haven’t been together for a long time and it was so nice to be able to stay at this lovely home. The location was absolutely perfect. We found the best little coffee shop in the town of Mount Gilead. As well as a public swimming pool and gorgeous playground for the kids. At the house itself, The absolutely gorgeous kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances we needed. Small and large. The icemaker was a huge godsend! The house was very clean, the beds were very very very comfortable. We enjoyed the game room immensely. It was well stocked with games for all ages. The welcome package of snacks and drinks along with household items that we would need upon arrival including toilet paper paper towels dish detergent laundry detergent etc. came in very handy. We also found “Funtoon excursions” which was a pontoon boat that picked us up at the dock right in front of the house and dropped us off at the end of the trip. They took us to a sand dune area where the kids could get in the water safely that was only a foot deep. We even had a cookout on the Sandune! There was also an amusement park that was not too far away as well as river rafting. Which we enjoyed immensely. Every night we got to have a cookout around the fire that had enough chairs for everyone. The location was perfect, the house was perfect, I could not sing the praises enough for this home! We will definitely be back!

Dream vacation! We rented this vacation house so family from out of state could go to our cousins wedding. Great Getaway
The hosts were great, and the house was perfect for our large group. Newly renowed kitchen left no stone unturned and the dock/boathouse was the perfect spot to relax and wet a line.

This property was gorgeous out on the lake!! And completely accommodating! Main shopping is like 10 mins away! The kitchen is outstanding. The beds were comfy! Only thing that would of make this stay 100% was if we could of rented the boat, that was in the dock. All of the marinas are in off-season and don’t start around this time. AJs 10th birthday!
This property was gorgeous out on the lake!! And completely accommodating! Main shopping is like 10 mins away! The kitchen is outstanding. The beds were comfy! Only thing that would of make this stay 100% was if we could of rented the boat, that was in the dock. All of the marinas are in off-season and don’t start around this time. All in all wonderful stay!!!!

Great place to stay for our wedding located in Mt Gilead. Close to shopping and grocery stores. Over all great stay. Owners were very nice and helpful during a hick-up with the AC. Fixed in no time and very nice and helpful. Will stay again!!

Victorious Vacation
From the first day we walked in the front door until the last day that my family had to DRAG me out, we had a unequivocally amazing time. Whether we were around the awesome fire pit eating smores, laughing around the pingpong and air hockey table, or jamming to music in the lake house ... My family kept a smile on their face and good times dancing through the air. Only 1 complaint... The lakehouse balcony severely needs to be rid of spiders. Theyre huge and everywhere.

The location is perfect as it's on a peninsula at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac with water on both sides, a boat ramp that is around the corner, has a very spacious and well-kept yard, 2-story boat house with a floating swim mat anchored off the dock, fire pit, and other amenities. There's a nice deck right off the kitchen that is great for grilling out or just relaxing while watching the boats cruise by. We celebrated my mother and brother's birthdays plus parents 50th wedding anniversary and had a grand time.
While this did not bother our group one bit, if you prefer to be in a newer home with newer furnishings, this is not the place for you as the home is a bit dated, except the kitchen which was recently renovated and is VERY nice. Fishing on this lake to include right off the dock is excellent, we easily filled a large cooler with catfish and crappie. Lake Tillery is a very nice lake. We will be back!

Awesome Annual Family Vacation
This home was absolutely perfect for my family if 10 adults and 4 children. The kitchen is amazing and the ice machine was a total hit. The little details such as towels for the lake, marshmellow holders for smores, air hockey, ping pong table and the float mat were awesome. The home is very spacious and had enough room for us all to have room to spread out. The deck with the screened it porch was also a hit for my elderly family to enjoy and overlook the lake. Deborah was very informative the days leading up to check and well as upon check in. I dont have one bad thing to say about our stay. Great family vacation and accommodations.

Everything You Need!
This house has it all...plenty of room, comfortable beds, fabulous kitchen, great view of water. Our grandchildren were completely entertained on site. They swam (the floating mat is a big hit), fished, kayaked, rode bikes on safe neighborhood roads, and even explored the woods a bit. All of us voted unanimously to return next year!
