We stayed here for a weekend and were overall satisfied. Check in was effortless and overall the cabin was very clean other than one pair of sheets having some hair (could’ve came from dryer so we didn’t make a big deal). The amenities were as expected with a nice theater room and pool table. The only issues we encountered was that the grills self igniter didn’t work so we had to use a lighter and we couldn’t get but one side of the jets on the hot tub to work. However the grill the was very clean and a nice thing to have and we still enjoyed the hot tub. There is a number to call for these things if they are an urgent matter that they can come fix but it wasn’t worth the hassle for our two nights. The beds are very firm mattresses which was not our preference but for a short stay was manageable but definitely would’ve hated it if we stayed longer. The beds also could use an additional blanket or heavier comforters. Downstairs stay very cold even we turned up the heat so plan ahead and bring extra warmer blankets especially if you’re a cold person. There was 3 fleece blankets in the cabin closets so we managed but wished we had more. Just a note that this would not be a cabin for someone who struggles to go up and down steps so make sure you read about the layout of the rooms and what levels they are on. This is our second stay at an Elk Springs Cabin and both times we’ve been happy and would stay again in the future.

We chose Gatlinburg for our family reunion. Although most of the attendees stayed in town, I refused. Who comes to the mountains and doesn't stay in a cabin. I hadn't been to either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge before. It was much too commercialized for my liking, but most of the group loved the area. I just wanted to relax from my hectic job, so I spent most of my time in the cabin as it was beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. We had our reunion dinners and games there 4 out of the seven nights. It was big enough for people to visit without being on top of each other. The only issues we had were the grill and the door. The grill had not been cleaned, and the drip pan didn't stay in place. The electronic lock on the door broke twice. Maintenance came out quickly the first time. The other time was at departure, so I don't know the timeframe. If I ever were to go back to Gatlinburg, I would stay at Elks Springs for sure, although I would probably try another cabin because there are so many beautiful ones there.

When I arrived at the cabin, it was clean, but I encountered a problem with not having a "starter kit," such as detergent. I informed the management via email, and they apologized and promised to deliver it, but it never arrived.In addition, the Wi-Fi was slow and unsecured, with the name of the cabin as the username and "elk resort" as the password. The lack of a password was a significant security concern, and I was told someone could come the next day to fix it, but since I was only staying for three days, this was not a satisfactory solution.If the staff had done a more thorough check of the cabin, including the guest's directions, these issues could have been avoided. Given the amount of money I paid and the poor experience, I have no intention of staying at the resort again or recommending it to others.

The cabin was very clean and no complaints. A couple things that I would recommend though. 1- curtains or blinds for the second floor windows. There were no window coverings on the second floor. 2- Add a couple hand holds for the shower/tub on the second and third levels. The tub was very high and for a shorter person very unsafe to step in.

The cabin has great potential and location is great! It was spacious enough for 8 of our guests. However it was was very dirty, the floors were not clean there was dust ever and the worst was that the sheets were not changed, there was droll all over the pillow cases it was disgusting. I would definitely bring my own, the fans had so much dust on it you can see it so easily the floors were so dirty. I would rate my experience a 3/5 but I wouldn’t go back to this cabin.

We had a great time, we had to check in a couple of hours late due to it not being ready but besides that it was a great stay. Grill worked great, would recommend updating theater rooms to handle more inputs or screen cast. We loved the cabin!

Great cabin. Great location if you go in from Gatlinburg. Clean. Very roomy. Only issue was we couldn't get DVD to play. Kids were bummed about that because it rained one day. I couldn't find a can opener either. Overall, we had a great time.

The cabin was outdated. Needed handrails for whirlpool tubs, additional hooks/towel racks in bathrooms. Needs luggage racks, laundry basket, more linens/pillows, new beds, dressers (drawers fall out), etc... We were afraid to use any of the "amenities" as there are signs everywhere about how they will charge/fine you for everything- including leaving a wet towel on the floor- it makes for an uncomfortable stay.

This was a great cabin! We had a wonderful stay here. The views are breathtaking. The movie room was a lot of fun- especially since we got to watch Maverick again on the big screen! LOVED LOVED LOVED the very deep jetted tubs and the hot water for a good soak after walking all day! Customer support for Elk Springs is available 24/7 by text and we love that anytime we have a question someone is right there within minutes with an answer! We frequent Gatlinburg 2-3 times a year and will definitely be staying at an Elk Springs Cabin in the future.

FOR US AS A FAMILY IT WAS OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE, HONESTLY EVERYTHING CLEAN, BUT A BAD COMMUNICATION REGARDING DAMAGED EQUIPMENT, A DAY BEFORE AND ALL PAID CONTACTED ME THAT THEY DID NOT WORK. A SMALL EFFORT TO RESOLVE THE SITUATION. THEY MINIMIZED THE PROBLEM WITH EXCUSES AND SENT IT TO WASH AND DRY IN ANOTHER CABIN, THEN THE GRILL. AND MORE ...OUR NEXT VACATION IS PROGRAMING TO ANOTHER STATE.

I HAD AN AWESOME TIME!Everything was just like the pictures. I will say that I was a little disappointed that our driveway was not paved making it hard to drive up the hill without our car sliding. Other than that, we had a great time! I definitely would recommend this cabin to anyone! The staff was amazing and kept in touch with me everyday. They made me feel like family. My guest and I really enjoyed this trip!

The worst, the cabin was not nice at all, the outlets in none of the bath rooms worked, except for the one upstairs beside the tub, Water leaked from the upstairs bath to the down stairs anytime someone showered. The dishwasher was falling out of the wall, to the point you couldn't load it. And for this I paid over three thousand dollars for 4 nights. There were no cords for the theater set up to work, I will never recommend this to anyone and will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY.

I think I was more in love with the IDEA of this cabin than the reality. It had a lot of bells and whistles which put it heads and shoulders above the other cabins in the area. I loved the idea of having a THEATRE room and a Sauna! The kitchen was perfect and the view from the dining room table was very pretty! Cheese and wine parties were enjoyed from the picnic table on the patio. We enjoyed the gas fireplace several times and loved the ease of it. The hot tub was in great working condition. But I wouldn't stay here again because the furniture was really uncomfortable. The first night I kept losing feeling in my thighs b/c the mattress was so FIRM! I "fixed it" by adding layers of blankets underneath so I could sleep through the night. The seats in the theatre rooms were also uncomfortable. We tried to fix it by propping up our backs and legs with pillows but you still wished the movie was *shorter.* The couch in the living room was also very shallow. I would have preferred a really loungeable couch in the living room with a BIGGER TV over the Theatre room.

We have been booking cabins with Elk Springs for several years. They consistently do a fantastic job. The cabins are exceptionally clean and well kept. Their customer service is above and beyond helpful. Hilltop Hideaway was perfect for our group of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids). The theater room was a highlight for the kids.

The cabin is old and smelly. Not kept up! We left a beautiful cabin we had booked for the first few days that put this one to shame though that would not take much. Chunks of food was left in both sides of the sink. Coffee stains in the sink. When you cooked grease would drip from the vent hood! The bedroom on the main level smelled really bad of pee. The furniture is old and dirty. The chairs sink down in if you sit in them. The arms of the chairs are filthy. The windows are all filthy. Rockers on the deck are all dirty. The beds and the bathrooms look clean. I feel like the cleaners came in and just did the very basics. The owners obviously do not care or how much pride in this place the pictures that are on the Elks Springs website are the same furniture back it definitely does not to pick the furniture now. The pictures are very deceiving and the place does not look like that now like they do in the pictures.We called the management company and they said they would send cleaners out. But cleaners cannot fix p.m. carpet smell was so strong we had to close the door put a towel at the crack of the door. The cleaners did come out and they wiped off the vent hood with a paper towel and took the food out of the sink I didn’t clean the sink. Then told the rental company we were packing up and leaving. Which we were not we were just wanting a clean cabin or to be moved or to get a discount. The rental company said they were going to refer us to the manager and have the manager call us. they never did never heard another word from them. They said they were going to find out about a discount we never heard anything about getting a discount. I have a feeling this property management company has the cleaners go in and just touch up between renters and they really do not ever intend I’m trying to make anything right they say they do but it never really happens. I would not run again from elk Springs resort. We are picky

I have stayed several times with Elk Springs and if it wasn’t a good experience I wouldn’t keep coming back. Overall it was a nice place in in a good location as far as close to town but off the beaten path. There are several homes in the same area so not exactly private. The furniture could use some much needed updates and the lowest floor was much colder then the two floors above it. So to warm it we had to turn the heat up which then made the two upper floors too hot. Cleanliness is always a concern and most of it was to my satisfaction, though we did find a used diaper in a window sill when we pulled back the curtain. That was disappointing to say the least. In all like I said a good experience and more than likely will book again when visiting Gatlinburg.

The furniture could use some much needed updates and the lowest floor was much colder then the two floors above it. So to warm it we had to turn the heat up which then made the two upper floors too hot. Cleanliness is always a concern and most of it was to my satisfaction, though we did find a used diaper in a window sill when we pulled back the curtain. That was disappointing to say the least. In all like I said a good experience and more than likely will book again when visiting Gatlinburg.

I have stayed several times with Elk Springs and if it wasn’t a good experience I wouldn’t keep coming back. Overall it was a nice place in in a good location as far as close to town but off the beaten path. There are several homes in the same area so not exactly private. The cabin has great amenities but is in need of a deep clean (dusting and such) rather than a quick clean between guests. I don’t know how someone cleaned the upstairs shower before our arrival and didn’t notice the black mildew all over the white shower liner.
