About this house rental
Nestled in Gettysburg, this attractive house for $403 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Five minutes walk from the center of historic Gettysburg. Only 100 yards from the East Confederate Avenue entrance to the National Battlefield Park. The ideal vacation rentals for a family gathering or a quiet getaway. Two houses that can sleep two, four, six or ten in various combinations. Fully equipped for self-catering, set in a lovely garden with deck and patio. The perfect place for your holiday in Gettysburg. These attractive houses can be rented together (sleep 10), or separately (Culp House sleeps 6; Cricket House sleeps 4). Please note that The Culp House is a vacation rental property, so guests are not entitled to breakfast at The Brickhouse Inn, nor to recieve packages. However, we can arrange a licensed Battlefield guide.

We had a great time at this house and the location is perfect! Super easy to walk around downtown and a close drive to visit all the battlefields. Would highly recommend!

We found home to be just as described. Well maintained older home that perfectly fit the ambiance of Gettysburg. The house is conveniently located a block from the Culp Hill entrance to Gettysburg Battlefield Park. It is also within walking distance of the town's center where shops and restaurants are located. The house is furnished with several vintage pieces and is very comfy with modern appliances. We hope to stay again!

Overall this residence is well stocked with everything you may need, even a washer and dryer. Nice covered deck in back with fenced in private yard. They could update the landscaping a bit in the back.

Our family cannot rave enough about the Culp House. Brian's home is located at a great location, 8-minute walk to Lincoln Square or just a short drive to all the shops. The home is very clean and well equipped with everything you need if you want to cook. To our surprise, there is a lovely deck out back with a fenced-in yard. There are 3 designated parking spaces for 3 cars if need be. There were plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable. Brian was very accommodating and responded very quickly to our e-mails. I highly recommend and we will be staying there again when we travel back to Gettysburg.

The Culp House was exceptionally clean and very well stocked with starter items (bring extra if needed). Communication with the owners and check-in was expedient, making the start of our vacation painless. There was generous space in the home/bedrooms so that as many as six adults could stay comfortably. Culp House's location just southeast of the town center meant anything was in walking distance, or a very short drive. Battlefield monuments were close, and restaurants & shops were even closer!

Book the Culp House! Everything about this rental was exceptional.
The owners were responsive to the few questions I had before we arrived. Upon arrival, I was thrilled with the parking situation of three off-street spaces next to the home. The keyless entry made life simple - no keys to keep track of.
The home was spotless and welcoming. We enjoyed time in the living room and parlor and really loved the private backyard space for dining and relaxing.
One reviewer said that the street was noisy at the front of the house. We didn't find that to be the case. The home is in town but there's a stop sign on the road that means cars are slowing down, not zooming down the road making lots of noise. It was not an issue.
The layout of the house suited us perfectly. We are a family of four and our in-laws joined us. The front bedroom has a master bath and the in-laws enjoyed their own space. The other two bedrooms and bathroom gave our family our own sleeping and bathing space we appreciated. The jetted tub was also a hit! Plenty of towels, linens, and blankets and even fans if needed.
The home is in easy walking distance of the town of Gettysburg. Ice cream at Mr. G's was a nightly treat as was the candy shop. There is plenty of shopping and dining within a couple minutes of the home.

The house was in a great location, but wouldn`t recommend for families with young children or elderly. The antiques were beautiful but afraid could be broken. The stairs were steep and tricky. There were plenty of towels but no basket available to put dirty towels in when we left. I was also suprised to find no basic things in the kitchen like salt and pepper. Check out time was listed on website as 11 but welcome book was changed to read 10. Overall, it was a nice place, just a few concerns listed above.

This property is beautiful. Very beautifully decorated and spacious. It has ample parking and was very clean. Nice backyard and close to everything on a quiet street. Had a miscommunication with the owner who was not at all helpful about it, so I would say make sure you are certain of all the details before sending a deposit. Also, although they wanted the dishes washed before leaving, they did not leave any soap which I think is kind of chintzy.

We came to sightsee at Gettysburg. What a quaint friendly town. The battlefield was moving. The shops and boutiques were adorable. The house is great and super convenient. For light sleepers, the front bedroom may not be a good spot to sleep. The road traffic is immensely busy and lots of loud vehicles around town. We would stay again with no hesitation.

The house is comfortably furnished for adults who want to spend time together, but also want space to enjoy solitude. There is also a very nice, private garden off of the kitchen. The location in Gettysburg is ideal for walking to restaurants, unique shops, museums and a charming supermarket. We parked our cars off-street and immediately adjacent to the house and only used them when we were exploring the Battlefield and beyond.

We also appreciated really comfortable beds and a truly wonderful (covered) back-yard dining space, with the added surprise of an outdoor ceiling fan! My dad and I love staying at this property! It was within walking distance of most of downtown Gettysburg. The house was beautiful and spacious! And bonus points... It has its own parking lot! Which is perfect for a busy Gettysburg downtown area.

We loved the house. It was immaculate and had a number of gathering spaces. There were many small touches, e.g. reading lamps on each side of the beds and night lights in the hallways, that made it clear the hosts were thinking about their guests. We had one minor problem which was resolved immediately by the host. We were impressed by his responsiveness. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay in Gettysburg. It was nice to be able to walk into the downtown area for dinner, ice cream, and a ghost tour. The house was very clean and bigger than it looked online in the pictures. The Culp House was a great stay!

The location of the house was excellent, within walking distance of much of downtown Gettysburg and a quick 15 min drive to Liberty Mountain Resort. The house is old but in great shape. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at the Culp House! There were 3 adult couples and this place was the perfect size. It had plenty of areas to hangout in and it was larger downstairs than I thought it would be. The heater/AC worked well! The location is also great as it’s walkable to the downtown shops/restaurants.
This is expected due to how old the house is - but just be aware that the floorboards and beds are very creaky. And the walls are somewhat thin (I could hear people talking in the living room downstairs when I was in my bedroom upstairs). So if you are a light sleeper, I’d reccomend bringing ear plugs. I didn’t notice any outside noise.

Just a quick note to say our experience staying at the Culp House and first-time visit to Gettysburg was fantastic. Brian was very responsive to our inquiries. The house is very quaint and easily accessible to everything we wanted. The depictions of the home are accurate and well appointed. The dedicated parking area made our stay hassle free. We especially enjoyed the backyard/courtyard area in the back of the home. We could have used a candle or two or light source to sit out in the evening, so bring something with you if you plan on enjoying the area into the evening. We so enjoyed our first visit to the Gettysburg area. There is so much to do and see and we are grateful we came. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We will return!

The home was amazing and immaculate, and the owners were highly responsive. The house is decorated perfectly and offered a wonderful atmosphere of the past. The location is also amazing. I wish there were an option for a sixth star! This home and the owners deserve it.

This is a beautiful old home that was very well renovated and nicely decorated. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is a small backyard for your enjoyment. Good layout of the house. Nicely located. We could easily walk into the square where there were good restaurants and shops to browse through.
Only question I had was that the listing says central air. As far as I could tell that is only true of the upstairs. The downstairs relies on the air filtering down. Which it doesn't do in the kitchen at the back of the house. If you had a larger group of people or were planning to cook meals it would get very hot in the summer. There were fans in the upstairs laundry but that isn't the same as central air.
Overall a very nice property that I would be happy to stay in again.

The Culp House is wonderfully equipped with everything you need for a fantastic stay. Beds are comfortable, the house is spotlessly clean. Location is perfect for its access to downtown Gettysburg and all of the points of interest. We will undoubtedly be staying there again.
