Location.
Mattress was uncomfortable. Room was musty.

Location
The bedrooms were in a desperate need of refresh. Musty smell. Window unsafe due to poor state of repair. Rooms were not cleaned while there. Neither were towels but on request and really limited staff. Was a bit like Faulty Towers. So disappointed and not cheap.

the room was clean
The receptionist told us not to eat in the hotel because it wasn't nice, he was right. Lack of staff. Expensive.

Evening meal in the bay brasserie and location/plenty of parking
Tiny room, old/worn, poorly maintained. Uncomfortable beds. Towel rail in the way of the wc.
Poor service in the restaurant in the morning.

Staff were all lovely. Helpful, friendly and professional
Food mediocre, room depressingly dim, shower a mere trickle

We arrived early on the Ferry and they let us into our room well before checkin time which was greatly appreciated
Extremely musty smelling room. The bathroom was really poor. Shower pressure was the worst ever experienced and the toilet was positioned right under the heated towel rack, so it was impossible for me to sit straight without burning my legs. Breakfast quality was poor. Cold food cold coffee. Very noisey hotel. Creaking floors above and doors banging through the night.

Covid is now not a valid reason not to service rooms. Shortness of staff is.

the night porter david was a super star!
it was very over priced

location was excellent
room too small for a couple, ok for single person.
4.0
the view from the dining room and the young waiting staff
the bedroom was dirty with an old apple in one of the drawers. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have slept on and the extractor fan in the Bathroom was disgusting!
There was beer bottles littering the car park and buckets of water in corridors after rain left to trip over for days. The manager had a terrible attitude to guests
The food was bad overcooked with instant mashed potato as a main ingredient to a main course. When we pointed this out to the team he denied it and offered us a drink on the house for the following evening! we never returned.

We were unable to book our usual b and b n Lerwick. Subsequently booked your hotel, but concerned at reading poor reviews on trip advisor. However we found your hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was great, super view from our window over the bay. Room was very clean, evening meal and breakfast great. Staff were very pleasant and polite. We were able to walk into Lerwick, overall enjoyed our stay and certainly found no faults.

The location.
No sound insulation to room and had an interconnecting door. Also empty wine bottle left in drawer. No remote for TV. Pillows were like concrete blocks.

the fish and chips
broken window in room, poor shower pressure, stale smell. bar closed and staff suits were at least 2 sizes too big. room 231 for reference

Friendly staff, lovely kippers, felt well looked after.

Restraunt view.
Main reception areas, bar and restraunt were clean and up-to-date, bedrooms clean and tidy a little dated but fine. Exterior looked like a 1970 accomodation block but as said inside made up for it.

Fire alarm went off inadvertently at 2-3 am for 20 seconds woken from deep sleep. Not a pleasant nights sleep.
Toilet wouldnt flush
Looks like a council estate on arrival, not a £90 room/ night hotel

The staff were very welcoming and thoughtful.Their coronavirus precautions were careful yet unobtrusive.

Breakfast was great, fine views when eating in restaurant and the food was great
Shower was not fixed properly and water pressure poor

Reception, Bar & restaurant were very modern clean and tidy. The food was amazing. ate to the point where i could eat no more! I was a little disappointed in the room, as it seemed very dated, especially compared to the reception etc.
Age / condition of the room. Very dated, and quite small. Could not open the toilet door fully without hitting the toilet and could not get to the toilet without climbing round the toilet door - very cramped.

The cooked breakfast was awful, overcooked everything really dry no love.
Asked for water for the table. Given a single tumbler of lukewarm water.
No curtains in the suites living room.

Lovely location with excellent sea view from my room
Very nice food in the restaurant
The staffing level in the bar area seemed a little on the light side, I am aware I was staying well out of season but the bar staff kept disappearing, I suspect they were also being utilised in the restaurant area
