Great place. Value for money

The owner was very friendly. The place is comfortable. There is heater on the bed.

Narrow stairs up the third floor. The location is a bit of a walk to 丽江古城 but the weather was cold so it is still nice to walk

Best Guesthouse I've stayed at

I loved everything about Mama Naxi's Guesthouse. The lady who runs the Guesthouse was so helpful and accomodating during my stay and helped me book the bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge and for my luggage to be delivered to Tina's so I didn't have to carry it while trekking. The second I walked through the door I was hit by homely the place feels and the room was large, clean, modern and comfortable. I definitely hope to visit Lijiang again and if I do I'll definitely be staying here again!

Cosy, safe and good location

Owner is very generous to offer pick up service from train station, very friendly and helpful. Took time to explain how I can get to tourist spots. Location is very good, close distance to public transport.

Really enjoyed our stay. Friendly & comfortable Guest House. Good value.

Great communication with the owner who was really helpful & friendly. The guest house was easy to find and just a 10 minute walk to the old town. Nice quiet neighbourhood, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. Great value for money.

The bathroom shower area in our room was open to the rest of the bathroom, so lots of water on a slippy floor. Providing a mop would have helped.

Worth a look.

Review from solo frugal traveler MAY23: I had the double private bedroom with private bathroom. Here are the pro's of this location: You're a block away from the bus terminal depot (If you opt to take the bus to or from Shangri-la/Dali/Remote towns, a short walk to the guest house). Around 10 min walk to the entrance Oldtown and Zhongyi Market (Night Market with yummy food hawkers around 1800). Number 18 bus to and from the Lijiang Railroad Station. After you walk out of the guesthouse's compound, you're on the street with plenty of places to eat with the locals. I ate lunch and breakfast there and got a little bit of the local atmosphere instead of the touristy old town. The room was very clean. There's a second indoor patio deck to hang out after a long day out.

Convenient and homely guesthouse

The owner of Mama Naxi was very helpful and kind. She let us store our suitcase there for an extra day and gave us suggestions on where to eat and how to buy bus tickets for Tiger Leaping Gorge. The location is hard to beat, only a 3 minute walk from the bus station. It is a perfect place to go for the night before going up to the mountains.The private room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom.

There could be more soap and washclothes in the public toilets.

Very helpful staff, but probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff was really great. They helped me book bus tickets to tiger leaping gorge, and even walked me to the stop to make sure I got on the right bus. The husband also drove me to the airport the next morning. very helpful and kind! It was also a convenient walking distance from Lijiang Old Town.

It looked like it had been undergoing redecorating. Lots of stuff just piled in places. The room was alright, not super comfortable. I stayed two nights, one night before tiger leaping gorge, and one night after. In between my absence, the sheets had not been changed. Kind of grossed me out, doesn’t matter if I was the last one to sleep in it.

Very comfortable stay for affordable price

The lady working there is super friendly. The location is good, walking distance to the old town. I have no complaints, everything was very comfortable especially for the price.

Cycling around Lijiang!

Convenient, literally by the bus station and a block way from old town. You can also hire a bicycle which is literally up the road on the west side of old town but you have to go up the hill in order to find it.

The location was really good.

I didn't like the old towels. I didn't know where to find good food to eat for breakfast.

Good for a quick stop over

Owners were very welcoming and were very helpful in answering our questions and there was always fruit on hand to eat!

A little noisy at night with not a lot of soundproofing in the rooms. Also, when we arrived the owner wanted to charge us the same price for a room half the size, just be aware if what you booked!

Very good

Staff was really lovely and helpful with information about Tiger Leaping Gorge and biking to Baisha. Located very conveniently near the bus station to/from Shangri-La as well as the Old Town, with a convenience store on the corner. Beds were warm and comfy, not too hard.

Generally seemed a bit disorganized, things weren’t especially clean.

Convenient and great value for money

It's a 10 min walk to the old town and a 5 min walk to the bus station (for Tiger leaping gorge, Shangri-la, Dali...). The hosts are helpful and communicative, and can organize transport for you, too. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and quite spacious. Great value for money!

Superb

Super spacious with plenty of chilling areas. Great location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Open areas on second floor to relax.

Bed in the 8-room dorm room was quite squeaky and not super comfortable, but everything else was wonderful. I highly recommend Mama Naxi and will definitely come back!

Superb

Great location close to city center, helpful staff. I was able to leave my stuff in the hostel during two days trip in the mountains (it was really helpful). They also provide transportation to Leaping Tiger Gorge. Heating mattress was really cool.

Clean and comfortable

The owner speaks English and gave us good and detailed information.

We were a family of three, got two rooms in two different flours. Skipped breakfast in hotel cause it took half an hour to prepare.

Best stay in China yet

Big rooms, clean and new, nice location with a bunch of places to eat closeby. Bus station very near. We even got a small cake when checking in, nice surprise. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and family-style dinner was absolutely delicious and well-worth the money. You can leave luggage there if you are going to hike Tiger Leaping Gorge, and the staff can fix bus tickets to the gorge as well.
