Zero!

There is no electricity in the house, no AC , it’s so unfair to lie in booking site, we didn’t like it at all . Was so hot and we suffered every moment! The “bed “ was just a broken sofa! The owner spoke so bad to us, was rude!

Promised much but delivered all too little.

The apartment is excellently located and is in an old building with fine wooden ceilings. The agent employed by the owner to deal with visitors could not have been nicer or more helpful - to the extent that she was allowed to be.

We arrived an hour later than planned on account of a delayed train, a missed connection and a round-about route to Florence. We were told that if we did not arrive by 20.00 (we had planned to be there by 19.00), we would not get a key, but would have to pay for the night and would have to find alternative accommodation. In the event we arrived at 19.55, courtesy of a taxi from the station, met the agent and were given the keys, after making a bank transfer from the train with a dodgy wifi connection to pay for the city tax, without which we would not have been able to get the keys. Once the bank transfer was made, the agent would have tried to leave the keys with a local shop if we had been late, despite the owner's 'rules'. It was an immensely stressful and unpleasant situation. In addition, unlike many other apartments we have rented over the years, nothing beyond the barest essentials was provided. Not even a dishcloth to dry dishes - we were told that there was a roll of kitchen paper for that, only there wasn't one. There was no salt or pepper, not a drop of olive oil, no detergent for the washing machine or tablets for the dishwasher, no shampoo and two of the smallest bars of soap imaginable. Although there were 6 chairs at the dining table, only 2 wine glasses were on offer. There was nowhere to hang up our clothes, or drawers in which to put them. A ridculous basin was provided, in which you could not wash your hair. If this was budget accommodation, that might all be expected, but it wasn't budget accommodation. For a short stay, one does not want, nor should one need, to buy large packets of cleaning materials, the only size available in supermarkets.

Nice apartment in good location

Very nice apartment with a small balcony, close to most things we wanted to see and do. Wifi was very good, host kindly agreed to extend checkout to 11.00am. Irish bar just down the street which we loved. Noise wasn’t a big issue.

Minor things, like only 1 teaspoon, no corkscrew, small number of cups, glasses etc. no toaster
