We love walking the streets of this neighborhood, and we will gladly suggest fun walks depending on your interests. Stroll to the beach at Madison Park. Walk by multi-million dollar estates. Discover hidden neighborhood gems such as the farmhouse with horses in the yard and the home that doubles as an eclectic art studio and antique truck gallery. Take a walk through the fabled Arboretum to Lake Washington. Once you have worked up your appetite, enjoy the countless restaurants that Madison Valley ("Little Paris") has to offer. In addition to French gems, try our favorite tapas restaurant or the best Japanese food east of Tokyo. Take your morning coffee in one of numerous bakeries. Or opt for Thai, pan-Asian, craft pizza, Tex-Mex or more. Our home provides easy access to Downtown (Pikes Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Great Wheel), Seattle Center (Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum), South Lake Union (MOHAI), University of Washington, and Capitol Hill. All are accessible by car, bus (numerous bus lines a few blocks from home), or for the adventurous, by foot. If all of this touring (and eating) has you tired, pamper yourself with a visit to a day spa or nail salon. There are several of each within a few blocks of home, and we are happy to point you in the right direction. Really glad we managed to book this house for the July 4th weekend, and it was plenty of space for the 6 adults such that no one had to sleep on the couch, but beware! The pictures in this listing are different from what you get IRL. Parts of this house were non-functional and the hosts were not responsive on #3.
1. The desk and chair nook behind the couch does not exist! We booked this place for the purposes of working remotely and all had to squeeze at the dining table. The second twin seat sofa had also been replaced with a wicker seat.
2. Don't expect a bottle of wine on the table. We had bought our own wine and there wasn't a corkscrew to be found, the owners had it delivered when we asked
3. The master bedroom is shown with a glass door covered by vertical blinds. When we arrived, the blinds had been ripped off (torn and cannot re-attach) and hidden in the closet! This was the WORST because the sun rose at 5am and glared into the entire bedroom, and the neighbors across the fence on the second floor could look in. What a horror! We had to put blankets over it (night 1) before someone came to fix it, and only salvaged half the blinds (night 2), before bringing new blinds (night 3) and by then, our stay was almost over.
4. The grill was hidden at the side of the house and did not look usable (definitely not as presented here)
5. The front porch deck chairs and tables are not complete - there was probably half the set and only 2 chairs, and looked really run down. We couldn't spend time outdoors!
6. The bathtub drains really slowly, expect to have bath water up to your ankles and calves by the time you're done.
Looking back this wasn't a stay we expected for the price we paid, we managed to have a good time but it was our own. I would caution against booking this place for the above reasons!

We enjoyed our stay in this cute little house. Nothing fancy, but beds are comfortable and much better than a hotel. Quiet neighborhood right by the arboretum, so we were able to enjoy walking as the weather was good. Also convenient to downtown by bus.

Everything’s was as advertised
Needs toilet repair and hot water turned down. Dangerous

Our stay was for just one night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The neighborhood was quiet and had a small town feel. There were several restaurants, a bakery, shops and grocery all within 3 or 4 blocks. We would definitely come back again!
