Relaxing, exhausting vacation! Would love to do it again!
Great communication with caretaker prior to arrival. It was very clean. Has a full bathroom in both of the 2 bedrooms as well as an additional off the kitchen, although 1 shower is out of commission due to remodel. Gorgeous view of the river. Just a few blocks from the Goonie house. As well as the walking trail to the Astoria column. It was a great stay for adults. Young kids not recommended.
Even though we were made aware of a bunch of stairs to enter, it was still more than we anticipated. But most of the town is climbing. The masks above the stairwell were a bit scary. The toaster doesn't pop up, just keeps toasting. So we burnt many slices of toast before figuring it out. Be careful with that. Otherwise, no real complaints!

just absolutely loving it
The second I opened the door, I felt this Inviting warmth of this gorgeous 1900’s home, the old ladies squeaking stairs and floors telling me, welcome. It overlooks the bay and the seals and big ‘ol spiders saying hello on entree, giving you this cozy feeling you’re looking for when you see this house. The house was perfectly stocked for two Goonie fans, spending a weekend in an almost similar Goonie house(The Goonies DVD was ready to go). It was very clean with a sent of aged 1900’s wood and spirit, that takes you back in time. You really need to appreciate this kind of building to love it and my friend and I loved staying there and we absolutely will stay there again. I was very happy to find this place.
what do you mean? 😉

Pleasant
The views, and the it was well stocked
The stairs, and more stairs. Couldn't use the tub and the beds were not very comfortable.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This was an absolutely delightful stay. The view, the location, the town, even the paint job on the outside all made our stay fantastic!
One of the bathrooms was still under remodel and we couldn’t use the tub. However, there were still two full bathrooms and the bathroom with the tub remodel was great for using the sink and toilet.
