Situated in Carmel by the Sea, this charming bed and breakfast for $524 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Gorgeous, newly remodeled Contemporary Big Sur-Style Guest House with private Hot Tub, 2 decks, gas fire pit and chat set. It feels both open and private with a bank of windows from end to end that open up to views of Carmel Valley, Carmel River Beach and Point Lobos. After gently descending 22 well-lit and landscaped redwood stairs to the lower level, you will enter a beautiful, private landscaped yard with views overlooking a canopy of trees with virtually no direct view of other houses! This 930 sf ground floor Guest House has the amenities of a full house. The large Master Bedroom includes an office area with a copier/printer, a Master Closet with full-sized Washer/Dryer, and views of Point Lobos. You may never leave the bed! There is a Main House above it. Additional sound-proofing has been added both to the ceiling as well as new flooring in the Main house with commercial insulation which was added in December 2022. This newly renovated home is fresh, clean and uncluttered with an updated Big Sur lodge influence and New Everything! The Living Room has a Queen Sleeper/ Sofa and the Full-Sized Murphy Bed doubles as a writing table. Enjoy an adult beverage while whipping up a snack or meal in the Granite Kitchenette with 2 large capacity Microwave/ Convection Oven and Convection Oven/ Air-Fryer with 2-burner Hot Plates with Island seating. The large private yard (1500 sf) has 2 outdoor decks and is fully fenced and landscaped with garden lighting. The deck outside the master bedroom has views of Point Lobos from the new Hot Tub! The second deck has a romantic gas Fire-Chat Set to stay warm while counting the stars. Well behaved dogs are welcome as the yard is fully fenced and the wood floors are easy to keep clean. There are No Stock Photos! 10% discount will be applied for stays of 30-days or more as Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) is no longer required. Just outside the Carmel-by-the-Sea city limits in the Coastal Zone, this property is not subject to Carmel or the County Short Term Rental restrictions. Property is right off Hwy 1 and an easy 1 mile from the quintessential Village of Carmel-by-the-Sea. The Guest House is on the ground-level of the property. It shares a ceiling with the Main House occupying the 1st and 2nd floors above it. It has it's own stairway and entry and is entirely SEPARATE though conversations are audible if both parties from the Main House and Guest House are out on the deck together. There is lots of light from windows with a big indoor/ outdoor open feel. Crestview is perfect for a family or romantic Vacation or remote Work/ Study Retreat. New to VRBO in 2021! Where to begin??? I can honestly say that this property has every single thing you can possibly need for a stellar stay. Location✔️less than 10-minute drive to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. View✔️you can see Carmel Bay from the deck and it’s quite private. Amenities✔️✔️Callie thought of everything, literally. And great linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner, the works! But the best part of all, a five-star owner who provided loads of recommendations in advance and she truly cares about her guests and their comfort. Can’t possibly recommend this place enough. The upstairs is a separate rental so there can be a bit of noise but we never saw the other guests. Wish we had the time to really use the deck, equipped with a hot tub and fire pit. Next time. This place is A-MA-ZING!!!!!

This lower level feels and performs like a condo. Adorable, and updated and the hot tub is fabulous. The host is always available and the size is perfect. Laundry is wonderful and w/newer machines, plenty of fluffy towels, and quiet...plus they offer many TV options - Thank you. My husband was able to watch the Badger Game.

Loved everything about this home only minutes away from downtown Carmel. It was so well appointed with a gorgeous peek a boo view of the ocean and secluded backyard with fire pit and hot tub. We felt so at home here and would come back in a heartbeat! Thanks Callie for being so communicative!

Our stay was great! The communication from the property owner/manager was amazing! They were very helpful and responsive to any questions before and during our stay. The space was very nice and comfortable. The only negative was that for the few days that there were other guest in the upstairs unit, the noise flowed down to the lower unit a lot. Just people walking around echoed through the unit.

Our family of 5 plus a dog loved our stay in Carmel by the Sea. We were welcomed by a bottle of wine and a great view of the bay. The pull-out couch and Murphy bed were perfect for the kids. The location was convenient for access to the beach and bay as well as driving over to Monterrey. We really enjoy the stay!

A beautiful property. The outdoor space is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck enjoying our coffee. It offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful property. Very clean considering it is dog friendly. Our dog had a safe fenced in yard to explore. We had everything we needed at the house, along with some thoughtful snacks and cider. Callie was a wonderful host. She was responsive and quick to attend to our needs. Would love to return again and stay in the larger house above. It’s the prefect spot between Carmel and Monterey exploring. Thank you!

What a great stay! Callie was the best host - and the property had everything we needed! (and didn't know we needed...when my son bumped his head, we even found ice packs in the freezer!). We traveled with our two large dogs who LOVED the patio, garden. Callie managed to make traveling with two dogs and a toddler stress-free. Amazing!

Great location for exploring both Monterey and Carmel. Quiet neighborhood, distant road noise but only audible when outside. Great outdoor seating with firepit and a hot tub to enjoy. Unit is small, but our family of 4 were never uncomfortable. Doors open wide to deck, extending living area to outdoors. Teenage kids were comfortable on murphy bed and sofa sleeper. Great bedding, fresh and soft. Thoughtful touches throughout. Unexpected extras like bathrobes and beach chairs and umbrella. Well stocked kitchen with all necessay dishware and cookware, plus extra supplies like spices and ziplock bags. Upstairs unit did create minimal noise of footsteps. It was not bothersome for us as the renters were otherwise quiet, but could be nuisance if renters were loud or running around late. Host and property manager were very responsive and helpful. We had issue an with the tub not draining well and a repair was made. We felt very comfortable, safe, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend this home.

This house is absolutely wonderful, and in the most gorgeous location. The host was extremely courteous, and we could not have asked for a more perfect weekend. They had flowers and a card and champagne waiting for us due to it being our wedding weekend. They were extra accommodating and the house is extremely well-kept and modern and has every essential item you may need. This is a must day for anyone wanting to stay local in Carmel. Thank you for an amazing memorable wedding weekend!

Thank you for a great stay! Everything was as advertised and Callie was personable and readily available if we needed anything. She provided great local tips and tricks that really made this weekend shine! Super dog friendly with a fenced in back yard (just be wary of ticks! We found between 10-15 (dead + live ones) over the 4 days we were there but nothing out of the ordinary given we let our dog off to wander through the yard. Just make sure your pup is up to date on their flea/tick meds). Bed was super comfy, couch + chair were great, kitchen was fully stocked. We loved our time in the lower level and even talked about wanting to rent both units at the same time with friends and family! We'll be back, of that I'm sure. Thanks!

We had a fantastic stay at this home! I felt like I was staying at a friend’s place rather than at a rental property - it was so comfortable and cozy, and Callie was such a fantastic communicator. Every detail was perfect, and the home is well maintained and equipped. We were traveling with our 3 month old son and Callie made sure we had everything we needed! The outdoor space was beautiful and perfect for relaxing. It was also a super short drive into town. Can’t recommend this property enough!

I came to Carmel to run the Big Sur Marathon. We made a family vacation out of the experience and all loved our home base for the time we spent in Carmel. I would recommend this VRBO without hesitation. I'm glad I found this gem!

I would give these folks 6 stars if that was possible! And in all categories. This is hands done the best Vrbo/Airb&b I've stayed in yet. Great layout, beautiful design and decor, along with deck, hot tub, outside firepit, BBQ and immaculately clean. We cooked dinner every night and they had all the needed kitchen gear. Plus, Callie and crew were always available by text.

This is a newly remodeled unit that is tastefully done. We had a wonderful time. We are giving this a five star review, and the only tiny criticisms are: (1) We don't think this can be accurately described as a guest house. It is a ground floor / basement unit, with another larger part of the house above; and (2) We were slightly annoyed by the other house occupants clomping around upstairs. But really, this is a very lovely apartment, with partial view of Pt. Lobos. Super quiet and private (except when the other occupants are on their deck, and you can overhear their conversations.). And great hot tub!

Crestview guest house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Carmel, with unmetered street parking.
The interior of house is clean, comfortable, and colorfully and cohesively appointed.
The deck with barbecue, fire pit, conversational seating and firepit offer sunset views toward Pt. Lobos. The property was relaxing, pet friendly, with fenced yard, and allowed us to entertain friends living on the Monterey peninsula.

My family and I stayed here in late December. While we had a lot of rain, we enjoyed the spacious property as well as its hot tub (and nice views when it was clear). The property owner and manager both were very easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend this place.

We had a great time. This place is very clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit hard, as were the pull out and the Murphy bed. Beautiful sunsets and very responsive host.

Callie welcomed us when we arrived & walked us through to ensure we know where everything was etc. She also provided a nice bottle of wine & some snacks and made sure that we had everything we needed before she left. Wow - what a perfect place for a staycation. We absolutely loved Carmel and this VRBO has wonderful views, was super clean and comfortable, and the perfect spot for our visit as we hit the entire locale (Beach, Valley, Point Lobos, etc..). Our host Callie was extremely warm and welcoming. She even had some very helpful tips (and a local hiking path suggestion that welcomes dogs!). We definitely recommend staying here and look forward to doing so again in the future!

This is the perfect spot to enjoy all that Carmel has to offer! Tons of space, far enough from the hustle and bustle that it’s very peaceful but close enough to drive in quickly to get to shops and the beach. Kitchen was well equipped (we cooked thanksgiving here!) and the space was cozy and clean. Host was kind and communicative the entire trip. We would return in a heartbeat!

The hosts were attentive and very helpful, the apartment was a home away-from-home complete with amenities, view, hot tub, gas fire pit, etc., etc. We had a great time and our dog, Rio, couldn't believe his luck - beach walks, an enclosed yard, and friendly people everywhere we went. Perfect!

This was an amazing place for my wife and I to stay in the Carmel/Monterey/Pacific Grove area. The location was at the top of the hill with views of the entire Carmel valley in front of us! Centrally located so we easily could drive to all of the spots we wanted to visit. Plenty of room for the two of us although there was room to sleep more guests. We loved the outdoor space and hot tub. Callie was very helpful with suggestions of where to go and what to do. We followed all of her tips and they were spot on! We hope to be back

This unit is the daylight basement level of a larger home. The unit and outdoor space is private and is not shared. The location is perfect, just a short drive to downtown Carmel and close to Monterey. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with easy parking. The unit is fully updated and very comfortable. The owners obviously put a lot of thought into creating a higher end experience.

Came with a girlfriend for a long weekend and we both agreed we picked a great spot! Comfortable beds, stocked well, and porch nestled in nature with fire table and hot tub. The host personally checked us in and also helped us to get back an item that was left behind. Just minutes from the beach and downtown Carmel. We’re very pleased. Thank you so much!
