The room is extremely small and I had the luxury of hearing the elevators all night. The main reason I booked was so my daughter and I could use the sauna and pool which we were told she wasn’t allowed due to her age. There was also a mix up with my valet parking which I paid at the front desk and the valet service desk lady made me feel like I didn’t pay and had to show her proof I did. I booked with the Hotels app and I was not treated the same as when I booked using their app.

Sadly the towels were ragged for such a classy hotel.

I’ve contacted the hotel twice about my security deposit and was told it would be returned, but it still has not almost 2 weeks after my stay.

I booked looking at the pictures online - which showed a modern nice bedrooms, however when i checked in i got a old - physical & design bedroom. Later i realised there are two wings - one with newly refurbished & the other with the older rooms. This isn’t clear online when booking, so was very disappointed with the quality of the room - you can hear everything from loud a/c vents, to housekeeping carts, to guests conversations in next room to everyone!
No one asked me how was my stay - not even at checkout! The luggage porter was very helpful. But when coming back to Toronto, i would definitely not recommend this hotel to my colleagues or friends.

We were here for an event and stayed the night for convenience. The experience was very disappointing for a hotel of this caliber.
The room was extremely small, but clean and well maintained. The size is understandable for the location, it's the heart of downtown Toronto.
The water pressure was horrible. We didn't have enough water to shower at 11:30pm or at 8am - not just hot water, but water in general. Flushing also was a problem. The shower gel was also empty - it was too late so we didn't bother requesting.

Mattress dipped a bit, parking is crazy expensive, but property is gorgeous and staff are friendly.

The Bed was suppose to be a King but it was a Queen. The Bed was so uncomfortable as well. We called to have some of the complimentary items filled in the room, which was suppose to be done by house keeping, but they made us feel as if it was not important. The best part was the concierges (doorman) outside. They took the best care of us.

Everything great except the noice from the elevators

It’s a very nice hotel but way overpriced on food (extremely expensive for breakfast), drinks are ridiculously priced. I strongly suggest you go somewhere out of the hotel for food and drinks. I really like the hotel but didn’t feel good about it because I felt I was taken advantage of for the food and drinks prices.

Our stay was amazing! The room was spectacular and spacious! The staff were kind and helpful. Everything was perfect!

Always stay here when I’m downtown Toronto. Central location and right across from train station. Always exceptional service. Only negative about this hotel is you don’t want a room near elevator shaft as it’s an older historic hotel and you can hear it all night.

Excellent hotel across the street from the union station which is a major hub for Toronto transit. The staff were very nice. They gave us a room with a view of the CN tower.

The only negative thing was there was a 55 minute wait for check in

When checking in we were asked whether we wanted to upgrade to a signature room as the regular was not available.
We did.
The room was more spacious, however, temperature wise was not comfortable at all. We lowered the temperature however the room was still uncomfortable throught the entire night - which is one key priority when staying at a good hotel - a good nights sleep. Unfortunately this was not the case.
As this was a family trip, we wanted to lazy around in the room in the morning, only to be disturbed by construction noise. This carried on until we had to check out.
So overall, not very happy with the stay

Location is convenient and located to so many dining and entertainment options. Lobby is nice and room is comfortable but wish I had a view instead of facing the wall of another building. Would stay here again.

It’s fun to spend some time at Royal York and see such an iconic hotel in Toronto. However, for the price you pay for the rooms and what you get access to, I would save some money and stay somewhere else that offers bigger rooms and free wi-if and simply come to the hotel for a meal or a drink.

Beautiful classic hotel with amazing staff, and one of the best hotel lobby bars in the country

My flight was cancelled and I booked a last minute stay at the Fairmont. The front desk staff upgraded my room, which was appreciated given that my travels were interrupted.

Everything was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would say was that the bathroom could use a bit of a refresh.

Incredible, historic and luxurious hotel. very polite people, great experience in every detail, group, multilingual and from different parts of the world, this makes a lot of difference. It made me feel at home, in a luxurious and comfortable house, but at home. Worth every penny. The hotel has a direct connection with the PATH.

We arrived a little early but a room was ready for us, which was fantastic. Very comfortable bed and clean room with a fab view of the CN Tower. Location is amazing - right at Union Station and on the PATH so little need to be outside in bad weather.

We stayed in this hotel for the first time. The room was freezing cold. Service calls rang forever and no one answered, except for dining in room calls. Wifi not connectable until going to the Concierge and asked in person. The support call number connected to overseas and we were asked to provide our computer login information. There’s unexpected charges amounting to 30% over the booking price, while I was told taxes included while booking.

From valet parking (so worth the $ for the convenience), to check in, to check out. This hotel is top notch! Right in the heart of the action, I’m looking forward to when I can stay again! Getting a separate mini fridge brought to the room at no cost to store my own beverages and food, incredible service!!
