The staff was amazing with assistance at check in. They also upgraded our room and it was such a lovely room with a view! Will be coming back here again and again!!

We went to Big Bear for a family weekend getaway. Was looking to stay near the village. We booked the cabin and were very pleased with the space. Nice and cozy! Staff also very friendly and polite.

It was a wonderful stay and Darren at the front desk is super amazing and helpful.

The property is more than fine, close to everything, nice views, clean, everything works, speedy check out and hot coffee to go.

Place is very nice, location too: on the shore of the lake.
Building is old, and some noise passes through the wall: nothing that is really a problem.
There are tables and couple of grills available too (maybe the grills need a little maintenance).

Staff were very friendly. My car broke down and they were very empathetic. Rooms were clean. Had a broken glass but that was pretty much the only issue. Nice to have a kitchen and fireplace in the room.

What a nice little gem I found. Quaint little cabins right on the lake. Most have a kitchenette of some type, a couple have full kitchens, they all have fireplaces. I know a couple of them have full Jacuzzi tubs as well. Mark, who is working, gave me an upgrade to a Lakeview. Very nice people, perfect location, I highly recommend!! And I got a great price on Hotels.com 👍👍 I’ll definitely come back!

When we arrived into our room, we were welcomed by a foul septic smell so strong we wondered where it was coming from. When my husband went into the bedrooms then into the bathroom, it got stronger. The shower tub was full of brownish black water. While waiting for the hotel clerk, I started looking around the room. There were stains, hair in corners of room, wall paint chipping, fireplace not working. The clerk tried to plunge the tub and toilet with no success. He then gave us a new room. This room had a gorgeous view of the lake, was very dilapidated. Hair in our sheets, cracks in wall and flooring, wallpaper peeling in some areas and hair toilet leaking after each flush. After dinner, we got back to the room and was welcomed by a strong marijuana smell in the room. We were unsure of where it was coming from but our kids were joking about it then they decided to stay outside on deck for a bit so the smell could dissipate. None of us slept well on the old dilapidated mattresses. Got about 3 hours max of sleep. This a $327.00 room/night. That’s a rip off and they know it! Don’t stay here!!

Staff at check in was rude. Room was dirty and light did not work as soon as you open door. Also fab switch does not work.
Bed sheets had stains. At almost 200 bucks just really dirty and bad staff at check in.

The inside has been recently updated for the most part. Stive was older but worked fine. Outside of the property is dated but in good condition.

Hello! Our experience at this hotel was very nice. I loved being near the Lake. It is so wonderful to wake up and be surrounded by snow and the stunning view that the Hotel has. I loved it.

They dont have a good customer service, specially when you try to call the property. My stay was Average

Check- in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean. With the amount of snow that fell a few days ago, it was a bit slippery carrying the suitcase up the stairs and the walkway to our room on the second floor. Overall, we would choose this property again.

We arrived to check in and met with a note taped to the door, “be back in 15 minutes” so we stayed around for 15 minutes with no return, and decided to leave to get an early dinner only to arrive back an hour later to the same note still there, once we were allowed into our room we were met with a bathroom floor covered in water popcorn kernels on the ground and rat droppings on the counter and inside of the microwave, we were awoken through the night because of the plumbing that runs through the paper thin walls, everytime anyone does as much as turn on a sink or flush the toilet the ceiling and walls shake and scream. A cherry on top is when I was in the shower the front desk decided to give another guest the keys to our room so we had unwelcome strangers come into our room while I was naked. If there hadn’t been a terrible storm I would have left that night, however we stayed and left the next morning and canceled our small get away early. We booked for two days and had to leave early because of how disgusting this property is. All of these issues were brought to the attention of the staff, and a very nice man tried to remedy the solution and called his manager, I asked for a refund and the manager offered a voucher for a different stay there instead. Obviously I will never return to this property. So I paid for 2 nights and got none of my money back. DO NOT STAY HERE AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Arrived late but let them know we were. Had a paper for us to sign but didn’t leave a pen. Had no TP. When my wife called to complain they reparative that picked up her call asked here how she or we would like to be compensated.

The property has potential. The location is convenient. I love that there isn’t a min. stay requirement. I stayed here to see family visiting Big Bear from another state. I only needed 1 night & this property was able to accommodate that. Check in was not until 3pm. When I arrived at 3:45, I was told my room was being cleaned & to come back in an hour. Rough with 2 babies, but ok. The front desk was apologetic & offered a later checkout than the standard 11am. Once I finally checked into my room, the first thing I noticed was that the lock on the door was not very secure & the door had obviously been kicked in at one point. The inside frame was visibly broken & being held together with a few random nails. I also noticed that there was moldy coffee in the coffee pot, a used sponge on the kitchen sink, old food in the fridge & the counter tops/sink were full of old food crumbs. Clearly, the extra hour after my check in time was not used for cleaning. I thought about trying to find another room, but my kids were ready for bed & the room was really just a place to sleep, so I let it go. A few minutes after settling, I went to turn on the shower to bathe my kids & found hair surrounding the shower drain, then noticed the room we booked for 4 people only had 1 bath towel & 1 hand towel. My husband went to the front desk to request another towel & was told “the dryer is broken this is all we have”. The employee gave him a pile of bath floor mats. Parking is also very limited.

Beautiful location. Seems a bit old and in disrepair. The balcony on our unit was falling apart we saw pieces hanging into the below porch and decided not to walk out there. They have someone with dementia running the front desk and it took her 30 min plus to check us into our room.

I really loved the hotel, no complaints.

First of all, I arrived at 2 pm, check in was 3. I have a disability couldn’t hold my urination, I had to use the restroom otherwise something bad was happening. I begged the clerk to please let me use the restroom of the room while she said it was empty and the cleaning persons are there to clean the room. I begged her I have disability and I must use the restroom, while they’re cleaning I go quickly use the restroom and come back. She said if I let you go, I’ll be fired! Ridiculous!!! I couldn’t believe that some one with a disability would be treated like that! Horrible ever.
The breakfast, we asked about timing of it the night before, the clerk said 8 am to 10 am is the breakfast time. So we went at 9 am, everything was gone , except 2 apples, and coffee.. and she kept saying sorry sorry we don’t have anything. This is not right! I paid extra money for breakfast, this is ridiculous we only grabbed one candy cause my mom blood sugar was low, she was almost faint. If I knew there was nothing to eat, I wouldn’t pay extra for breakfast.
Also I paid extra for lake view room, but you even could see the lake. I’m posting everything with pictures that way no one feels I’m lying! This is not acceptable and I will ask to return my money!

The view of the lake from room was soooo good.
Room was pretty clean. Heater kept us cozy

The room that we stayed was clean but it was noisy at times. I think there was a laundry room on the side or a utility room. You could hear people going up the stairs and when they were walking in the hall way. The heater didn't warm up to quickly and made some noise.

The property was fairly cheap and pretty nice considering the price. I enjoyed the service from the front desk and the room was clean and a good theme. There was a few damaged items in the room when we got there such as a broken air conditioning, rippped up wall paper, toilet seat that had a Crack on the floor next to it with a little bit of water coming out, and chewed up cabinets. But they were fairly unnoticable and out of sight. My favorite thing about the room was the fireplace it has, although not very strong, it was a nice touch. The property also had access to the lake beach so you can easily go and view the lake from their pier

Booked a stay for Christmas. Room not ready by 3 pm check in, only 2 staff on site despite hotel being packed. Room not ready until 5 pm. Multiple people affected, all outside waiting for their room. They promised a 30 dollar credit for the trouble and have yet to see it. Highly recommend staying somewhere else if visiting Big Bear. If you dont have the staff, dont take the customers bookings.

Big Bear Lakefront sits right on the lake. It's near The Village where there are a lot of shops and food. Close by park areas to play in the snow and about 10 mins from the ski resort. A lot of traffic during the day in that area. The people were really friendly.

The room is so small for $330/night. No closet space. No full length mirror. Not even a hot tub towel/robe that cheap motels provide. Towels are bare thread, there was only 1 face towel. It just does not justify the more than $300/night stay.

We stood here on the weekend of 1/12/24, so it was busy we brought our grandkids to play in the snow in the areas around driving distance, our room was as expected, clean and the kitchenette area had a fridge, microwave and sink, the heater fireplace was a nice touch, they served a continental breakfast every morning, staff nice and friendly.

We had a great time there with our children but the first night couldn't sleep due to the noise that was coming up from upstairs .. but other than that it was great.

Great place to stay, many things are closed by, it would be better you stay there in summer you can play with water as well.
