The room smelled very bad , random unexpected knocking to the door . Filthy cloth towel found in the bathroom sink . Me and my kids never had this terrible experience before .

We did stay for 3 nights
Shower tub had mild mold, mattress a little hard for us.
Other than that everything was great, location and service, cleanliness average.
We would recommend this hotel

Location! Excellent location to walk everywhere. If you plan to go on summer the AC works great.

Great location for the train station and museums and churches, the Campanile, Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistry. The reception staff were lovely and helpful and especially Simone, as she was on the desk in the evenings we were there. Good breakfast, enough choice and a breakfast terrace for the warmer weather!
Clean simple room.

The hotel was close to Santa Maria del Fiore and other museums and cathedrals, as well as the train station. Could easily walk to many sites. So location was great. We were disappointed with the staff at the front desk. They were aloof and did not offer to help in any way. The room was surprisingly quiet even though the hotel is located in a very crowded and busy place. The breakfast was very simple, but good.

Pros:
- Location;
- Room/bathroom is a reasonable size; and
- Reliable wi-fi.
Cons:
- This is never a 4* hotel, it’s 3* at best;
- The decor is pretty tired & fairly basic;
- The walls are very thin, meaning you can hear a fair amount of noise from the corridor & the room(s) next to you;
- There is no bar, despite the hotel description saying there is;
- The roof terrace is accessed via the breakfast room, which is closed/locked in the afternoon & evening; and
- We did not receive our free bottle of wine & there was no mention of consideration being given to a room upgrade (both benefits of being a Hotels.com gold member & this supposedly being a VIP hotel).

This place is a great home base to explore florence. It's clean, has a comfortable bed, giant shower/bath (for an italy bathroom). It's nothing glamorous but its nice and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay for 6 nights. The hotel is in a great location - near the train station and all of the historic landmarks of central Florence. Our room had a great view of the dome of the Medici Chapels and you can see the Duomo from the outside breakfast area. The rooms are great and clean; breakfast is delicious (and heartier than you typically see at European hotels); and the staff is exceedingly nice. The front desk staffer even fetched his own personal wine cork to help us open a bottle. 10/10 - would absolutely stay at again.

So I arrived at this hotel after a 2 hour train journey, it was close to the train station which was good but I arrived 10 minutes before check in and told I would have to wait. So I waited and 40 mins after I got my key. But then at the night I realised the bed was equivalent to lying on concrete also the amount of noise was astounding. Also you can hear everyone bang there doors as the storm out to breakfast at 7:30am I was also situated opposite the lift and stairs but surely I wouldn’t be able to hear both from in my room well think again. After being given a mattress topper for the second night I managed to get 5 hours sleep (even with all the noise) and woke up with a stiff back. The manager seemed friendly enough but after the first night the ship had already sailed. No soundproofing in the rooms and the worst bed I’ve ever slept on. Also not VIP treatment so I don’t see why Expedia say that! I also got charged €3 for a can of Coca Cola. So what looked like a promising stay at a nice hotel ended in me never setting foot in Florence again… don’t be fooled by all the 10/10 reviews like I was

Very clean. Friendly and efficient staff. Hearty breakfast. Huge towels. Comfy bed. No complaints. In the city center. Near trains and tram to airport. Excellent hotel.

The initial check in was fine, service was average at the front. The place was mostly clean. Double windows helped to block out street noise. The bed/pillows were very uncomfortable, and the room in the evening was extremely hot (despite the air conditioning being set to 16degrees and high, definitely didn’t feel like it worked, so made the evening very unpleasant to sleep). Breakfast was a continental breakfast, it would be nice to have had a proper coffee and juice (instead of machines) for the price you pay for the stay. Good location, close to everything. Room wasn’t made up (despite having “please make up room” sign on the door for the day).

Staffs are extremely friendly.
Area around property is very convenient.
Found mosquitos and killed at least 5 or more, so I hope these could be improved.

Location is nearly impossible to beat and, generally, the hotel is clean and well run. Staff is great. Shower water pressure was low, but otherwise, our room was good.
One major issue was that Google Maps took us to the wrong location when we tried to find the hotel, approximately 2 blocks away. If you are unfamiliar with the area, this hotel can be very difficult to locate because of this (especially in the rain like us). Hotel staff is aware of the problem and, with a simple phone call, will help navigate you to the right spot. They are at Google's mercy re: fixing the problem...so while it's inconvenient, it isn't their fault.

Centrally located making for easy access to anywhere in the Florence area.

The property was centrally located and the staff (front desk) were helpful and polite. However, we had no hot water for the 4 nights we stayed! At all!! We were told daily it would be fixed, but never was. When we checked out, we were told we could not get any refund because we had already paid. But! They gave us credit for the 2 waters we drank. 4 pounds worth. We would NOT stay there again.

This is a great location for exploring Florence. Room was very clean & quiet.
Disappointed in the wine bar being closed for the season & there is no ice available on the property. Beautiful view from rooftop breakfast area, but there is definitely a problem with the pigeons up there.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Florence, a few minutes walk from the cathedral. Room was clean and spacious, with kettle etc and a fridge which was very useful. The first room we were given had some traffic noise, so we asked for a quieter one. The staff were extremely understanding and helpful, we were moved within 10 minutes of arrival to a room with secondary glazing - no street noise at all. Breakfast was only average - not very exciting but then continental breakfast never is! Overall a good hotel, with friendly staff. We would recommend it.
