Great location. Friendly staff. An older “grande dame” facility, but charming and well cared for.

The hotel location is very convenient. Walkable everywhere in the French quarter but far enough from the noise so you can get a good nights sleep.
Our room did not have a window so that may bother some but it was well lit and it did not bother us.
Bathroom was nicely done and has a fan… my pet peeve in hotel room bathrooms.
The front desk ladies specially Beverly were super. Friendly, knowledgeable and every ready to help.
They have cookies and lemonade in the afternoon which is a welcome treat after being out on a hot day.
There’s no breakfast but many beautiful, historic places are a few hundred feet away and it was always exciting to plan where to go for bfast everyday.
There is a tourist office right across the street where you can book every imaginable tour.
Also streetcar station on Canal street is about a 5-7 min walk.

My co-worker and I were loved staying at your hotel! The best customer service I have ever received at a hotel!!! Cindy and Beverly were the best! I am an Owner representative for a hotel and other properties in WV and I can say these women are top notch!! They were helpful, knowledgeable about the city. One of the things I noticed was they knew every guests name! They made our trip so easy even sending a FedEx for me!! We will be back to stay at this facility for sure!! A big shout out to Bienville House! Everyone there was exceptional!! I give you 10 Stars!

The hotel itself is beautiful, the location was perfect and the beds were incredibly comfortable. If it wasn’t for the ladies at the front desk this would have been a great trip and somewhere I would return to. Unfortunately the two women who I encountered at the front desk truly ruined the experience for myself and my business partner. They were proud to tell me about their military background but this is a 4star hotel, not barracks on a military base. We should not be interrogated every time we enter the property. From check in to check out the front desk employees were inhospitable and attempting to up charge and overcharge for everything. The location is unbeatable the hotel is in great condition I had an inside suite and loved the quietness and the space. If they had different employees or even told them just to be nice to the guests I’d like to return.

This hotel was really nice and convenient to getting around to the locations I needed on my business trip

Maybe because I only stayed 1 night, I thought the hotel was quite lovely, staff genuinely kind and helpful. They let me check in early which was wonderful after an early morning flight. It was in the perfect location for a first timer to New Orleans right on the main strip with easy access to everything! There were some negatives however, my room was next to an extremely noisy machine room that you could plainly hear in the room. Also a/c didn’t seem to work, the thermostat did nothing and it was somewhat hot in the room, I’m from Florida and used to a good a/c! Luckily I could open the courtyard door to cool it down, tho it had no screen so due to fear of bugs getting in, I didn’t. Also, due to Marti Gras, the restaurant connected to the hotel closed early which I didn’t notice and was going off hours provided online so that was disappointing. Overall, I would stay again and just ask not to be located near that machine room and I’d call the front desk about the a/c, though I was only there one night so it was fine.

We just had amazing 2 nights stay at the Bienville House! I searched online for a decent place to stay in the French Quarter without breaking the bank.
Found It!!
We were greeted as we valet parked the car. Which is so very worth it, rather than to try to find our own parking. We didn't need the car again until we checked out. Letting the bellman know before we headed out to breakfast that we were checking out, he moved our car close inside their parking garage, so it was easy loading.
Entering the cute lobby, we were greeted so kindly. We were on the 4th floor in room #414. The room was plenty large enough for us and exceptionally clean, which is what I look for in hotels. The bathroom was updated beautifully with everything we needed, except it only had one towel, haha! We passed by the front desk on our way to dinner and let them know and as soon as we returned from dinner, they brought us up the towels!
The king size bed was Very Tall but So Very Comfortable!!! Slept like a baby.
The outside corridors from the room were kept clean & I never saw any bugs!
The pool looked beautiful, but it was too cold to swim.
Our room was nice and quiet inside, you would never know that we were right in the heart of the French Quarter!
Walking distance to absolutely everything we wanted to see and do!
Overall, this was the best gem of a find in New Orleans!
We will definitely be coming back again!

Wonderful cultural experience.

We had an amazing time here. The only bad thing I could say is that we didn’t know it was an interior (no windows) room until we got into it. It may have been in the listing but it was the only room available. Not a deal breaker. In the city if vampires it was a neat little addition to the charm. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to see from this beautiful little hotel and they kept our truck safely stowed away from the streets.

This place is owned and managed by Hotel Monteleone and it shows. Everything from the doorman to checkout is all pro and buttoned up. And it’s a two minute walk up to Royal Street and Mr. B’s and tons of other great spots. Will definitely book here again soon.

Great hotel, friendly staff, configurable beds, nice location. My A/C didn’t work but they brought me a box fan which was a fine substitute.
Would stay again!

The Hotel itself is a throw back to the 18th Century with the decor, it was fun and a clean hotel. We would stay at this hotel again

I enjoyed being in the French Quarter in a building that is part of the older history. The updates done inside are great and at the same time, you know this place has been through many seasons. The staff were super friendly and accomodating. Great location next to incredible restaurants, shopping and the river is only a fewblocks away. Loved my stay!

Good service, and it is quiet even in the evening of Mardi Gras. Within 10 mins walk to dinings and shoppings.

Not as advertised. Nice staff but property does not deserve high ratings. Air conditioning not working properly. Poor lighting.

The property needs a update, the area is amazing, the hotel is on the heart of french quarter, but you have better options for the same price.

Location is great and the staff are there to help. We needed a fan for some background noise and it was in our room before we got back from lunch.

Bienville House was a great base of operations for me and my teenager as we explored New Orleans. It was close to my conference and had much more character than the large conference-adjacent hotels. The staff was super friendly and took care of all of our needs. The location in the French Quarter was fantastic, near everything, but enough on the edge to be quiet and relaxing. I'd definitely stay again.

Love this place. We have stayed here before and always enjoy our stay. We also enjoyed this stay as well. Only thing is it was cold outside and it’s an older hotel so they don’t have the air conditioner on during that time. I’m just a person who sleeps with the air on 69-70 so. But we just opened the balcony and that def cooled it down

SUCH a lovely hotel!! It was so beautifully decorated for the holiday season and every staff member was friendly and welcoming. The hotel pool is HEATED so dont forget your swimsuit, even if it's cold outside. One thing to note: some of the rooms are "interior rooms" which means they do not have windows. If this is a deal-breaker for you, make sure you reserve a room a view. 😊
