Top notch, very clean and comfortable.

This is a delightful old building in the best of possible downtown locations, with wonderful staff, some parking in the back; and our room had a wonderful sitting area, a kitchenette (microwave, fridge, sink, goodies for us travelers), all in soft colors and a pleasant atmosphere. There is a very good restaurant attached, and there are tons of other good ones around the area too.

Great stay! A bit noisy in the morning with trucks going by street but I didn’t mind it but if this bothers you this is your heads up.

Lovely hotel, rooms are cozy and make you feel like home, staff when they could be found (not a personal fault, just a business plan fault) was cordial & informative
Their staff was extremely minimal with no in room phone service
Train tracks are close so you hear them but it didn’t bother me much
My biggest gripe would be the breakfast which they say was “included” (in the booking) however it consisted of a in room basket of old scones a hard muffin rotting apple and rotting clementines
The location was extremely convenient right in the heart of town

It was a convenient place for all the things we wanted to do. Know it from hitting The Gettysburger quite often. Very nice place. We enjoyed it

Located in a great location for walk ability to museums, shopping, foo and drink. The restaurant located below the hotel had a fabulous brunch and outstanding dinner!! We’ll be back there again.

Spacious and clean rooms, however, very noisy. You can hear the traffic and people outside. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shops which makes the onsite parking very convenient.

Beautiful and well taken care of historic property. Stayed in the Lincoln Suite and highly recommend. The huge bathtub was a hit and there is parking directly behind the building. Staff also super helpful. A

We have stayed here when it was the Gettys. It has been redecorated nicely but it's the small things ... the bedroom was very well done but the living room needed work. No reading lamp only the overhead dome light. The TV was in the bedroom!!! The furniture did not match the decor, it was flea market specials. Needs help.

I was told I’d receive instructions for late (after 8pm) check in the evening of. I never did. I arrived at hotel at 8:07 doors locked, no one to be found. Called “call this number” line several times and emailed property. No one replied. I was locked out. Luckily, the owner of the hotel as at the bar next door. When I told her the situation, she shrugged her shoulders (and was annoyed that a guest was bothering her “I’m just out with friends, I don’t work here”) and replied “we are open 8-8”. That evening the band downstairs or next door sounded like they were playing IN MY ROOM. So loud! At checkout. There was no one at the checkout office at 8:37. Had to leave the keys in the hallway. Clean, good for the area rooms. Need soundproofing and terrible customer service!

Very nice Hotel.

I like what the new owners have done to this historic property. That being said, the suite we stayed in needs some improvements. The suite needs an area rug in the living space as well as side tables and lamps.
The breakfast is a lovely idea but the croissant and other baked items were not fresh. That was disappointing.
Overall we loved our stay in Gettysburg and know you are working hard to make the Unuion Hotel a success. Staff is kind and friendly.

Very nice hotel, great kitchen area, and super clean. The only complaints we had were the ceilings must be very thin because we heard people stomping upstairs all night. The room we paid for was supposed to be a king, but it clearly was NOT a king size bed.

Great place and friendly staff. Mattie was outstanding in helping me book the actual room we wanted, which hotels.com screwed up.

The guest above us had a heavy step which was amplified by the wood floors. Is it necessary to air condition the bathroom? It's cold enough stepping out of the shower as it is. Not a good value for the money

What a fabulous hotel! As my Thursday, 6/29, departure from coastal DE was delayed, I called the hotel after 6 pm re: a late(r) arrival. Spoke with Maddy, who was very courteous and professional in explaining after-hours check-in (front desk is staffed up to 8 pm in this small, 'boutique' hotel). No problem! As I stopped a few times en route, and to eat, I arrived in Gettysburg around midnight. The Union is in the heart of town, easy to find.
Drove around to the ample (free) parking lot for guests behind the hotel, where I met the owners/proprietors Leslie and Andrew, who were doing upgrade work on their place to add a bar and breakfast room. They were more than kind, handing over my key and registration paper, and also helping me carry belongings up to my room (so no cart needed!).
The Union is so cool, clean, and comfortable. The bar and restaurant will be great additions. If I had arrived earlier, there are many excellent eating establishments in walking distance. I had lunch on Friday, 6/30, at the Lincoln Diner, just past the traffic circle. Nice set-up in my spacious third-floor room, with an historic Civil War focus. Had my morning coffee, juice, muffins at the kitchenette. Worked out well.
Maddy again assisted on check-out, so I could cart my stuff out front to a reserved parking space on the street. All told, great place, great staff, and I hope to return. A+!

Hotel was under construction and boarded up in the front (no warning either when I called before my stay). The restaurant was closed and there were only 2 pieces of fruit and 2 muffins available. There was a lot of dust especially around the windows. Great staff and location though.

Overall a great stay. Room was clean and nicely furnished. Small breakfast of fruit and muffins left in the room. Staff friendly. Bath towels were tiny. Soundproofing between rooms not great. These were the only areas for improvement.

The hotel was in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The only downfall was that it was a little noisy along the street at night.

Room was very spacious and clean. Everything we needed was here in the kitchenette area . It was very quiet however outside our bedroom was a light that was lite the entire night coming thru the shades.

This is a great hotel located at the center of town. Having a kitchenette in the room is super helpful for me when I travel on business. Also having a Nespresso machine in the room is a Godsend. Love this place.

Great location, and an excellent job on the rennovations.
Only issue was being adjacent to the Gettysburger so a little noisy on karaoke night. Next time I would request a room away from this bar.

Beautiful rooms and very courteous staff. Prime location too!

It was clean and fresh the room .But they were installing a gas service all hours of the night . Jackhammers and trucks . It was advertised a morning basket of local breakfast items to be placed outside the door . The parking is in the rear . Only access is the alley way. Blocked half the time due to the construction Never seen it .We shoulkd be compensated for the inconvenience . Next time we will stay at a true B&B.

The rooms were clean. All of the staff we encountered were helpful and courteous. Will definitely come back especially when the restaurant opens.

Hotel was very unquie, neat, clean, and friendly. Beds are very soft for ones used to firm. Very convenient walking the downtown area.

The stay was very pleasant! The building is beautifully redone while keeping the history of it intact! Great amenities and space for the price!
The only cons are that in the front of the building the road is very loud at all hours while trying to sleep. Also the walls on the 4th floor are very thin and you can hear the people in the room next to you talking. It is a bit awkward while trying to sleep.

We had a great stay here. I think we were in the company K suite from the pics online. It's on the 2nd floor and facing the alleyway between my the building and Gettysburger's. The windows are big and not sound insulated so we were worried about sleeping but as we went to bed we grabbed the earplugs that are provided and put them at our bedside. We didn't end up using them as it got pretty quiet. I played a rain storm app on my phone (how we sleep at home) so that probably helped a lot. Bed was comfy and despite being in one of the cheapest priced rooms it was a lot of space. High ceilings and you don't feel cramped at all. Slept really well. All the staff that we encountered were really friendly and efficient. Room was spotless.

Liked parking, lovely historic suite of rooms.
