Convenient, modern, and affordable hotel a short walk from the T-Mobile Center, food, and drinks. Public parking is close by as well as public tranist. It's location is fantastic, but so is the hotel.

Really friendly and helpful staff. It’s a great location, just a block or so from the streetcar. The room was nice sized and comfortable.

Great vibe, location, and ammenities. downside was outdated tv for the end of the night and no microwave for leftovers as a late night snack. would recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay and the customer service was wonderful. I loved the location of the hotel in regards to attending the Chiefs parade. The only draw back was the noise from guests in the halls. Not the hotel’s fault but I arrived late and was exhausted.
I absolutely loved the room and how it was decorated and arranged. Wish I could have stayed longer. Restaurant staff were great as well.

Nice hotel, great central location. Being downtown, parking will always be an issue. We were showing up to the hotel late, and thought we would just look for parking around the hotel. Unfortunately, we ran into at least two parking lots that were either inexplicably closed, or didn’t allow parking to the public before we found an acceptable lot. It would be significantly easier if the hotel simply partnered with a garage nearby to ensure affordable/available/reliable parking to its guests. Check-in was easy, the room was comfortable and well appointed (it does have a small refrigerator). Would certainly be happy to stay at the hotel again, but might look for options that have more convenient parking.

Friendly staff. Centrally located downtown walking distance from the convention center. Vintage train theme accents in very clean room gave the space a unique character — not just another nice, but cookie-cutter hotel room. You won’t regret staying there.

TL;DR
There was an issue with the heat in the room that was never resolved, the staff was friendly but unhelpful, and they were extremely crazy about check-out. I do not recommend you stay here.
Whole Story
When I checked in, Evelyn didn’t tell me about breakfast, checkout, the location of anything, or offer help with bags; she didn't even did she point out luggage carts, though I was struggling a bit with luggage.
There was always an attendant at the entrance double-doors whose job it seemed simply to press the automatic doors button. This was comedic because they were always just looking at their phones and so would press the button EVERY time after I was already pushing or pulling on the second set of doors. They never once offered a thing. I'm not totally sure what their job was.
The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, but it seemed to be designed by someone who's never really traveled. There’s only one hook in the bathroom, nowhere to hang much, except for the little open armoire. There was no safe. When I called the front desk asking for a luggage rack, Evelyn said “We don’t have that.”
The heat in the room was furious, and it woke me up in the middle of my first night, when the thermostat was at 80. I turned the AC on and set it to 67, but it only got down to 74 by the morning.
I messaged the staff early in the morning, and Robert said that he’d have the engineer look at it. When I got back in the evening, I’d heard nothing from them. I messaged again to say that

I stayed at the hotel on a recent trip for a conference at the convention center, which is just a few blocks away. My room was spacious and very comfortable. I appreciated that the HVAC system was quiet and kept the room the right temperature. The front desk staff were unusually friendly and attentive. A very nice stay.

The valet lost my car. When I went to retrieve it the next morning. I was informed that they could not find my car and that they thought it was stolen from their parking garage overnight. After two staff members said my car was not in the parking garage. I asked to walk the garage myself and found my car. I was left in the garage with no way to let myself out. They had to come back to the parking garage to let me out with my car. It was a lot of stress added to two of the guests that has heart issues. The manager never came back out to talk to me and I was Charged full rates for the room and for the valet parking.

This was my first time staying at the Hotel Indigo. It is what I would call more of a boutique hotel- quaint and cozy, snuggled in between the high rises of downtown Kansas City. The hotel offers free fruit-infused water in their lobby in the afternoon and fresh hot coffee in the morning. There is an insight bar and restaurant, but they are closed for lunch. The staff is very friendly. I received daily texts from actual people (not a chat box) asking how my stay was and what they could do to make it better! I don't know of any other hotel doing this! The hotel staff was able to accommodate a late check-out which was super helpful because there was a snow storm the day I was leaving, making it difficult to walk around downtown. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby- Mildreds Cafe just down the block offers delicious pastries and breakfast treats. Really my only "complaint" was that my room didn't have much of a view. I could have requested a move, but I was only there a couple of days. The amenities were really nice and I appreciated having a refrigerator in my room. I will definitely stay here again.

Probably would not stay again. Luke warm water in shower in the mornings (it was fine at off peak times). No towel racks in the bathroom! I will dry and reuse towels but not here. There was 1 solitary hook in that bathroom for towels; no place to hang a toiletry bag. The shower had an open door so water sprayed everywhere - including out into the room. HVAC was monstrously noisy. And on the last night the heat went out entirely. I could hear it try to click on at regular intervals but no noise or heat. It was quite uncomfortable and cold. Had a corner room at low floor so traffic and street noise was an issue. The bathrooms are not noise insulated. I could hear everything from my neighbors. I’m not a light sleeper and was woken up at 4am by explicit moaning and screaming. I mean good for them but I don’t want to hear it. It sounded like the fun was happening IN MY bathroom it was so loud and clear. Friends also staying on the floor above said they had the same noise issues. No room service.
All that said the front desk accommodated my early arrival. And it’s clean and updated. Great location.
For the price not worth it here. There are better places surely.

Only issue we had was during the check in process, but the manager came right out and got us taken care of. Excellent hotel and we loved our short but awesome stay!

Wonderful hotel and great location. The heater is very loud though and went all night long. Makes it hard to rest comfortably.

This was our second time staying here in the last few years. We will be back. Nice place, clean, good rooms. We especially like the restaurant / bar downstairs. Everyone was friendly too.

Very nice, unique, boutique style hotel. My only complaint is that we were in town for 4 days and never had anyone come in and clean/refresh the room the first 3 of those days. The 4th day, we had to stop a housekeeper in the hallway and ask her to do it while we were gone. I expected a smidge more for the price. Otherwise, it was a nice spot with a really nice restaurant inside. Great food, even better servers. Good experience overall.

We love staying here when attending downtown KC events. Every experience has been consistent, mindful, and clean. The location is within great walking distance to a lot of different venues and a short uber to others, so it makes planning easy.

AA pickup point for KC's free streetcar is just two blocks away. The streetcar has stops every few blocks along two miles of Main Street, north to south. I used this streetcar to cut down on walking time (it was in the mid-90's during my trip), and Uber fees. The streetcar was key to enjoying a pretty nice downtown area in KC.
The shower is modern and large enough for tall people.
The staff is very helpful and was able to reopen my IHG awards account, which I had not used for several years.
I did not rent a car. I'd read the reviews about parking fees and did the math on Uber fees vs parking/rental. The math may not turn out the same for others, but for me ride share was cheaper.
