We were a little nervous about the noise from the hotel next door, but the walls and windows were surprisingly soundproof. We were on the side of the hotel right next to the bar with music and it was loud on our balcony but we slept fine when the patio door was closed. We wouldn't stay here again, though. Yes, it was on the water but the beach was tiny. We ended up jokingly calling it the "What's That Smell Hotel." The "kitchen" was tiny and was missing important components, like spoons! After a day or so, I noticed some dirty black socks on the floor in the corner. I asked my boyfriend if they were his and they. were. not. Apparently they belonged to the prior guest. So, needless to say, cleaning was an issue. We ended up sneaking around the fence on the bench and having a yummy drink at the fun bar next door.

It’s outdated, overpriced and needs attention. We had a balcony, but the view was a parking garage that people can stand and look right in your room. (Even on the 5th floor).

Location was great, however our room faced the Shephards beach resort and the music down at the tiki was so loud til about 11pm. The ac unit in room was extremely loud so dimmed the noise of the band slightly. The ac also didn't cool very well. Overall for what we needed the room for, it was decent.

We checked in and left as soon as we saw our room. The pool towels were thread bare, Tbe room did not feel or look clean. The hotel had an odd smell. We also noticed a sign after checking in that there would be no housekeeping whatsoever. We found that odd and not comforting at all do we left and went to a beautiful clean place next door. Worth the loss of $$$.

Loved the area, food and entertainment within walking distance. Less crowded then down by the pier. Hootel staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel is a little ran down and could use some updates. But other than that was pleased with our stay.

The staff was friendly, the location and easy (free) parking amazing, the beds were comfortable.l and clean. The carpet in the room however left the bottoms of our feet black and the shower had some mildew spots. For the price in comparison to other places it was good minus the carpet! Spend your time in Clearwater outside in the sand!

Our stay could be better if the hotel could do some updating. For example, I found it challenging when I needed to charge my phone because I couldn't find any wall plugs near the bed. The coffee pot was outdated and the type the hotel used typically is dirty because the coffee ususally don't get cleaned. The bathroom could use some update, so it doesn't look like it's from the 80s. Overall, the hotel is ok. But it's so 80s.

Great little hotel with a private beach and nice pool for a great price. Clean beds, free parking and friendly staff. Only issue was the mold smell, it was pretty bad. It is an older hotel, but you are paying for an older hotel. Every hotel in the area is more than double, some even triple the price. If you want the Hilton, stay there. If you want a safe, fun place to stay that will not kill your wallet that has parking and a private beach and pool that is close to a bunch of restaurants then check it out.

At the price, the place was good. I prefer not to have carpet in the room. The door to the outside was iffy. Overall it was okay, but would prefer a more updated hotel.

Place was right on the beach that was awesome had pool and hotub also which was amazing!!! The carpet in the room was filthy my one year old grandson was crawling on the floor and his feet and legs were black from that carpet set my garbage outside so the cleaning person would pick it up never happened nor did they not freshen up our room in the three days I stayed there

The location was perfect for where and what we wanted to do. Staff is very friendly. However, we never had our room attended to the entire stay. No towels, toilet tissue, garbage, vac... etc. taken care of. Stove was non-working too. All in all, in spite of all of that, I would stay again because it was such a great price & perfect spot for a February break.

Hotel is very rundown and in desperate need of some repair and upgrades. Mattresses are old, bathroom has rust stains, peeling paint and odors hit you as soon as you walk in the lobby.

The Gulfview is a great location in Clearwater Beach. The hotel is on the tail end of the main beach so you really cant walk far on that part of the beach. Restaurants, shops, bars are walking distance The hotel is rather old, but our room was fine. Large size kitchen. They didnt have regular housekeeping service, but hotel clerk said anything we needed we could ask for. We enjoyed our 4 night stay here,

View from balcony was really nice. Comfy beds. Little kitchenette so cute and compact with everything we needed. Pool is heated and jacuzzi is good. Downside is the building is old. Carpet in room needs to be replaced and table on balcony full of old cigarette burns needs to be replaced. Hotel is next to a more expensive place that has a resident band and singer and the music is played so loud all day and until 1 to 2am so very hard to sleep. Not sure why that is allowed no consideration for other hotels close to it. If you want to sit on the loungers on the beach close by with umbrellas you have to pay a daily fee. They belong to the hotel next door so best to stay on the pool patio on this hotels loungers. Other downside is the beach areas are all blocked off with rocks for each hotel so there is no long stretch of beach to go for a long stroll so we drove to Indian Rocks Beach where you can have a long beach walk.

I traveled alone and everyone made me feel so comfortable. The only problem was beach chairs. The chairs by the pool were nice but the chairs for the beach were stacked high and you would have to drag it. UGH! next time I will bring mine. But it was a perfect pleasant trip, and I didn't want to leave.

Liked the location. Easy to locate And close to shops ,and connection to other beaches. The accommodations were clean but the room and hall carpets were worn and dingy. Would liked to have had housekeeping at least replace towels daily ,but not a problem getting clean towels from desk clerk. All staff was very friendly

Our partial view of ocean was top notch. Unexpected great view along with enjoying the live band from next door. Extremely quite. Best sleep for days.

The only thing I didnt like was that we booked a room with "partial view" but then when checking in and asking about view/rooms with view we were told those rooms were an additional $30 a night.

I love that it has access to the beach. They have a nice hot tub. Supermarket around the corner. They did not took deposit from my account so that is a plus. I used it to go to a taco restaurant. Recommendation i really wanted to watch Netflix but unable to see it in the TV. And the rooms have rugs. The receptionist was excellent. Great customer service. Love the stay and will come back.

The place was nice. It had a kitchenette which was great. One of the reasons why we stayed here is because they had a hot tub. When we got there the first two days the hot tub was not working. When I asked the gentleman at the front desk about it he basically just brushed me off and said it would be fixed later. He stated that he was going to give us a call when the repairs are made. That did not happen. I had to continue to go down there and check myself. Also, I travel quite a bit and almost always when you go by the front desk they at least acknowledge you. This guy seem like he was so irritated that he even had to be there.

We enjoyed everything about our week stay. The staff are so nice. To respond to the person who said the live music next door kept her up is no way true. Once you close the slider you cant hear anything, very noise proof. Nice private beach, clean pool and hottub. Room was spacious with 2 burner stove, fridge, microwave and coffe pot. They even have cooking pans, plates, utensils etc. We enjoyed our stay so much this is our spot for now on as we come down 2-3 times a year

SUPERB LOCATION /PRICE. PRIVATE BALCONY, AWESOME VIEW, NICE PRIVATE BEACH, SHELLS GALORE!! GREAT POOL. HOT TUB! OLDER HOTEL BUT HAD ALL WE NEEDED. MICRO, FRIDGE, STOVETOP, KITCHEN WARE, BATH ITEMS.NICE BEDS AND LINENS WERE SPOTLESS. STAFF WAS HELPFUL AND KIND. I'D STAY HERE FOR BETTER PRICE VERSUS BLING OF FANCY BUILDING

The hotel is right on the beach so access to beach is amazing. The property is very old and not well kept. Paint peeling off the ceiling in washroom, carpet and furnishing very old and not maintained. Chairs were wobbly with tears in the seat. It was okay to just sleep and spend the day outside during the day.
