It features a boot dryer and large upper fan to dry out your outfits quicker. From the ski room it's only two steps outside into the 6 person hot tub after a long day. If you don’t want to sit in the hot tub, you can still be a part of the conversation sitting on the historic Disciples II #78 Chair Lift, now bench seat, that spun at Boyne Mountain until April 2022. We have a large concrete outdoor fire pit area with 8 chairs to enjoy year around. If only that fire pit could talk! We have put a lot of effort into improving your comfort here. Both the temperature and the humidity are controlled individually on each floor and there is a dehumidifier in the ski locker room. The furnace fan is set to filter the air throughout the hour. The upstairs gas fireplace has a remote that has a thermostat function as well. There is an automatic generator that kicks on if the power is out and with alternate heat sources, not even a broken down furnace can ruin your vacation here. The home owner formerly owned an ISP and phone company. They have put a lot of effort in ensuring the best possible experience. The cable Internet system typically delivers 375 down. It is distributed by a managed Plume mesh WI-FI internet system that you will find second to none. Even the outdoor fire pit has great WIFI coverage. The cabin is beautiful! Everyone loved the ski in ski out convenience. The cabins size and layout made it possible for 12 people to not only enjoy time together, but to also find an alone time space.

House was in excellent condition, just as described. Check in/out was a breeze and property manager was very responsive and helpful when we had a couple questions. Great location for skiing! Plenty of room for our party of 12. Bunk rooms in the basement were great for kids.

The location for our family was perfect and the house a was a great size for all of us. We had six adults and four kiddos and all were happy. We had a well stocked kitchen which made meal prep very easy. Great setup and beautiful. I will say we had an electrical issue that affected the master where the outlets on one wall stopped working and it also included the closet light. We notified management and they immediately came out to troubleshoot but the outcome was they needed to get to a GFI in the owners closet but did not have access to it. Management should have access to the owners closet should an issue arise. We were never able to use the one side table charger or outlet nor the closet light which was a bit of an annoyance as we have an 8 month old who had his pack and play in there for sleeping. While this was a mild inconvenience, for electrical, I would think management would have access to the closets to fix any issues. otherwise, fantastic experience, beautiful home and location. Would stay again.

We had 15 ladies staying here for a long weekend in the summer and everything was fantastic. The house was huge with plenty of space for everyone to sleep or hang out. There are two living spaces, hot tub, fire pit, and a screened in porch and we used all of the spaces! The kitchen is also nice and come with basic cooking tools and salt and pepper, there’s also a grill in the garage. Our house manager was very easy to communicate with when needed and very helpful. The location was also perfect for us. The resort is close by which has a few bars and restaurants and also a chairlift. We found out that we can also call a shuttle which will take you to different places on the grounds. Deer lake is also very close with a nice restaurant overlooking the water. Boyne city is around 15 minutes away so we spent some time on lake Charlevoix. Everyone loved it and we’d definitely stay here again!

We loved the feel of the home as soon as we walked in. Fireplaces, blankets, comfy beds, private views to the woods, outdoor fire pit with plenty of wood available, it was wonderful! Hot tub worked great under the stars and we loved the ski in/out locker room for all the wet stuff to dry. Made our family dinners in the well stocked kitchen and played the family games in the dining area. And even though cold, took a blanket on the screened porch to watch the skiers as they sailed by with the snow covered pines and trees all around. Parking for 3-4 outside and 1 inside, but a 4 wheel drive is a good idea. Ski out is fantastic. After the back side lifts close, it is not an easy trek back from the main lift to ski in, maybe the new fast lift will be easier in 2023, we’ll find out since we booked already for next year. Well done!

The home was beautiful and well appointed. We had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was a great addition. Ski in/Ski out locale is fantastic if that side of the mountain is open. Plentiful parking and storage. The home was absolutely perfect for our four family New Year's vacation. We'd definitely stay again.

This was our 8th year at Idlewood. It almost feels like home. This was the first year with the new ownership and there are some nice improvements. The hot tub was very enjoyable, and the fireplace in the main room was a nice surprise. My only suggestion is you definitely need to allow more towels. One towel per person for 5 days meant I was doing laundry often. We love our yearly retreat to Idlewood. There is so much to do and we enjoy the area.

My husband and I didn't want a 50th wedding anniversary party but instead spend time with our children and grandchildren who live out of states. EVERYONE loved it. The home was very nice and spacious for the 6 adults, 3 children, and 2 dogs. We could go on hikes, have a campfire and room to all eat together. This was definitely a 5 star rating. We enjoyed this during the summer.

This was our third stay at this property and it is always in top form. We had to cancel the week of our trip because of illness and the owner was gracious enough to allow us to switch our stay to other days that remained opened the week we traveled. Thank you again.

This home was a real treat for our family trip. The house is spacious and well stocked with many amenities. We ate all our meals in the home and benefited from the well-stocked kitchen. It was a nice bonus to have the 2 car garage to park our vehicles out of the weather. We also used the firepit and appreciated the ample quantity of firewood. The locker room downstairs is a nice touch and is awesome for skiers. Highly recommended and very good owner communication.
The house is basically right on one of the ski slopes. This was very convenient. However, the slope that it is on does not have lights and it is closed at 4:30. This eliminates the ski-out option for late afternoon and night skiing. You can ski back in from the open slopes in the evening but it is a bit of a workout to do so.
The heating system is somewhat unbalanced as the main floor was very warm despite setting the upstairs thermostat at 62. The downstairs was cool with the thermostat set at 72. We had to open doors and windows at times to lower the upstairs temperature. Also note that the hot water is very hot. Too hot really. Also bring soap and shampoo for showers as none was provided.
Our family really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely return in the future for a short ski trip. This has to be one of the nicest housing options at Boyne Mountain for skiers.

The surroundings were beautiful especially with the leaves changing. My dogs liked going for walks everyday on the trails and laying by the fireplace. The house was quiet and serene, able to catch up on much needed rest.

Clean, spacious and an overall great experience. Steve was attentive to all the details and made our stay smooth and easy. There is great mountain biking on Boyne Mtn. that is easy to access from the house. Just don't forget to bring your shampoo, condition and soap because they are not provided.
