NO reply from the host. We will definitely not stay here again! Not value for money!

Nothing!

Please note that the booking is non-refundable. Unlike others, the host did not provide any reply on your enquires in particular on the lift / escalator provision at nearby El Carmen Metro station and bus route! Unlike other european countries, Madrid city bus drivers of routes 146 & 38 refused us to carry luggages on board despite it is only 4 stops away! We need to carry our heavy luggages and walk for 30 minutes as we aware (after booking) that the nearest El Carmen station may not have any escalator to street level for which we were trying to avoid carrying heavy luggages over steps! We are a family of 3 with two aged near 70. The apartment is located on the second floor for which we need to carry heavy luggages for 36 steps by two persons for three times. That's why the host did not provide any reply and the booking is non-refundable! Living here, you should not have any heavy luggages with you! Nonwithstanding that, the nearest El Carmen Metro station confirmed that it don't have any lift or escalator to street level for which you need to carry your heavy luggages for 45 steps from concourse level to street level! There is ascending escalator between platform and concourse level but not the other way round. At time of your departure, you will have another 60-80 more steps for carrying your luggages down from concourse level to the platform level which made up to over 100 more steps between street level and platform level. To avoid this, we have then decide to walk 2 more metro station (to Pueblo Nuevo station) with lift access from street level, on the day of departure by walking for around 20 minutes. The hot water storage is small, only half size of other Airbnb apartment! It was not enough for 3 persons bathing, we need to be extremely fast for the bathing. Hot water for 2 persons is marginal unless you prefer cold water bath during winter time! The wooden chair in the bedroom is found broken. Cleanliness of the pillows are in question.

Would have been better is the hoasts were responsive. Wouldn’t stay again.

The property was clean and looks exactly how it’s advertised. Having the metro station around the corner is ideal to get into the city centre.

We had numerous problems in the short 2 night stay. The boiler leaked everywhere all over the kitchen side, I reported this by trying to call and message customer service, I was ignored. The air con is very hard to work and with it being November the property gets freezing. On the last day the shower did not get hot. There is no lift access, if you are on the top floor like we were, then getting your luggage up and down really isn’t easy. The sofa bed is not suitable for 2 people, and very uncomfortable.

Convenient stay in Madrid near the bullring

The flat was clean and had everything we needed. The frying pan was new and non-stick, so we could have a great breakfast before leaving to enjoy the day. There is also a supermarket right next to the flat - so convenient!

Buena localización

Segundo piso.
