Renovated old Viennese apartment in a quiet location in a side street of the Mariahilfer Strasse shopping street. The apartment was refurbished in early 2018, the shower newly built and painted. Centrally located at the U3 subway station. Museum district and House of the Sea nearby. 20 min. walk to the Hofburg and St. Stephen's Cathedral. 136 m² living space with large terrace! Apartment consists of modern beds, wardrobes and sanitary rooms, complemented by antique furniture (dining table and desk). Prices: ===== At the moment I have drastically reduced the prices on certain dates to fill some booking gaps! ===== The amount includes VAT and the Vienna local tax. There is nothing extra to pay. Fitness: * family-friendly and child-friendly: baby bed, kitchen * for people with special needs: lift, level access from street or parking garage, supermarket in the house * Same-sex couples welcome: the city of the traffic light couple Furnishing: -> 2 large bedrooms with double beds 180cm x 200cm, one facing the courtyard, one slightly larger, -> Single room with bed 90cm x 200cm -> living room with sofa bed for an adult -> 2 bathrooms: one bathroom with shower and toilet, and a second bathroom with bath / shower, toilet and vanity. -> Fully equipped kitchen with dishes, microwave, toaster and coffee machine Additional services: -> Obtaining a parking ticket for 7 days (regardless of the length of stay) in the in-house parking garage

I had the best two month stay in this apartment. Amazing location, 3 minute walk from the metro, much bigger in person than it looks in the photos and all of the amenities needed.

We have visited Vienna for 30 years now and this was the BEST stay we had four our family. 3 adults for 30 days in this place was great. We loved the historic look of each room. Kitchen was fully stocked, so we cooked often. The Apt is right off of Mariahilfer strasse, so access to delicious ice cream, shopping, and the U-bahn. Best kebab shop in Vienna is a 6 min walk up the street and grocery store is next door. The apt came with blinds on the outside that helped keep the heat out. The balcony was amazing - rare to find a balcony that size in Vienna. The hosts are great, responsive, and helpful. We will be booking this place every time we come to Vienna!

This apartment exceeded our expectations. Two huge bedrooms with queen beds plus one small bedroom with a twin bed. Kitchen dining and living areas and two full baths. Beautiful high ceilings and huge windows. Just a few steps from pedestrian shopping/dining street and the U-bahn. Wolfgang was super responsive in communication and checking in was effortless. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Vienna.

Great Location
My family (wife, son - 13, daughter - 9) stayed at Wolfgang's flat for three weeks. It's in a great location with easy access to public transportation which will take you all over the city.
We all slept comfortably in separate rooms and Wolfgang was responsive to any needs we had. The outdoor space was an added plus. We definitely recommend.

Great time in Vienna
Property was exactly as advertised, had plenty of space and in a great location. Despite not having AC, even in the hottest days, we were able to stay cool with fans and plenty of windows. Highly recommend this property.

Upon meeting our host, he informed us that one bathroom was being repaired and not working.
Our host could have informed us of this problem, and he did not.
Our host could have discounted the cost of our stay - we asked him to - and he did not.
Otherwise the unit was OK, not great, quite dated.
I do not recommend.

The Case of the Missing Bathroom
This unit was advertised as 3BR, 2B. Because my wife and I were traveling with another couple, 2 baths was very important.

Our host could have informed us of this problem, and he did not.
Our host could have discounted the cost of our stay - we asked him to - and he did not.
Otherwise the unit was OK, not great, quite dated.

We absolutely loved this apartment. It was clean and spacious, exactly as described, and very comfortable. The location was perfect for getting around, either walking or using public transportation. I definitely recommend this apartment.

We had the most wonderful stay in this apartment. Very large, spotless, and with two bathrooms! It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and we plan on staying on our annual visits to Vienna.

The flat was absolutely excellent for our stay in Vienna, the neighbourhood is great for excellent restaurants and shopping; the underground/metro is also very close by.
The flat itself had everything needed including exterior blinds to keep the heat out and very efficient fans that made it comfortable to sleep. The beds were also very comfortable with great linens and pillows. The only detractor, as noted by others are the towels, they are very old, quite thin and smell quite musty. If the towels were replaced it would have been without compare.
Our host was excellent and even arranged our parking in the parkade under the building. A big thanks to Wolfgang and family for hosting us in their truly excellent flat.

Nice, cosy and spacious appartment. Well equiped for 6 persons. You see what you get.
In the small bathroom there was hot water for only one shower. We didn't meet Wolfgang nor Helma, but we certainly recommend their appartment.

We voted this apartment the favorite of our trip. The location was perfect to a main shopping area and the train. The apartment was beautiful with really tall ceilings and windows and plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well outfitted and large. There are two bathrooms and that was rare for Europe and very handy. They're two large spacious bedrooms and a medium sized bedroom. The beds were super comfortable and we slept like a dream. The clothes washer was in kitchen and thank you so much for having detergent available for use. We used the washer a couple of time and the huge drying rack which was perfect. There is a large smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. We loved having some English speaking options for tv at night when we were tired from our day of sightseeing.Wolfgang was very responsive and even graciously printed train tickets for me for our day in Bratislava. The Lidl grocery is literally next door and anything you need is just down the street. The Bratwurst stand on the corner became addictive for my husband. He is trying to figure out a way to open one in the US ;) We loved Vienna and would absolutely stay at this property again. Wolfgang thanks so much for a great experience.

The flat was exactly as expected. The rooms spacious and clean. Tea/coffee ready to use. One problem were the towels. There was one medium towel and one small towel per person. They were very old and threadbare. I would definitely come again if they promised some new towels!

This home was wonderful. The owner was very accommodating. The beds were very comfortable. The shower was nice and hot with good water pressure. It was close to restaurants and shopping. It's right down the street from the U-Bahn. It was super easy to get around. I will definitely stay here again.

Perfect apartment
I can't say enough about this listing. The location is great- lots of restaurants and shopping close by. The owner was excellent to work with and responded quickly to my emails and questions. This is perfect for larger groups and exactly as pictured.

Wonderful central Wein location
This location is perfect to see all of Vienna. We had a little trouble finding the door number to the owner but mostly because our Austrian is not good. The apartment is spacious and beautiful. We did run out of hot water on our last morning but it could have been

Super city break
The apartment is located on a side street off Vienna`s main shopping area, but is nevertheless secluded and quiet. It was clean, tidy and comfortable. The owner lives on the floor above and was happy to respond to queries. The area is well served by public transportation and is only a short walk away from the city`s cultural highlights.

This is a very fabulous apartment in a very convenient location. We were amazed at how spacious it was! Wolfgang was very flexible and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely Stay
Enjoyed our stay very much. Owner met us at apartment and quickly fixed a beeping smoke detector when asked. Apartment is spacious and clean. Comfortable beds and living room seating. Bedrooms have ample closet space to allow one to unpack and settle in. Fully equipped kitchen. Great neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. Steps to U-Bahn. Handy and tasty sausage stand 100m from front door open until 5 in the morning. Supermarket next door, but markets on Mariahilferstrasse are better.
Minor point -- second WC is tiny and can run out of hot water if more than one wants/needs to shower there around the same time. Consider asking the owner if it's possible to turn up the hot water heater.
