Welcome to The Landing on Lake Madison, your peaceful, lakefront escape designed for making unforgettable memories in every season. Tucked away in a serene setting, this cabin offers the perfect blend of relaxation, recreation, and connection with nature.
Start your mornings in the beautiful screened-in porch, coffee in hand, as you take in the calm lake views and gentle sounds of the water. It’s the kind of quiet you didn’t know you needed. As the day unfolds, head out to the spacious deck or make your way down to the large private dock where the real fun begins. Whether you're swimming, floating on the lily pad, or taking the canoes out for a peaceful paddle, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Fishing here is truly something special, especially in the evenings when the lake comes alive. It’s the perfect way to unwind and make lasting memories with family and friends right off the dock.
In the downstairs of the guest house you will find a fun and inviting game room and bar area that both kids and adults will love. The game room/bar is ideal for rainy days or winding down after time in the sun. As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit for cozy evenings filled with laughter, s’mores, and stargazing under the wide-open sky.
The Landing is perfect for family vacations, friend getaways, or anyone looking to truly unplug and recharge. One important note: there are a number of stairs leading down from the paved parking area to the cabin. While the walk down may take a little effort, it’s what helps create the secluded, peaceful setting and once you arrive, you’ll quickly realize it’s absolutely worth it.
If you’re looking for a place that feels like a true escape, with incredible lake access, peaceful surroundings, and plenty of space to relax and play, The Landing is ready to welcome you and your family/friends. Seasonal Closure Notice:
Please note that our guest house (including the game room and bar area) will be closed seasonally starting November 1st. The guest house and game room will reopen in the spring, weather dependent. During this time, these spaces will not be available for guest use. All main cabin living areas will remain fully open and available for guests year-round.
Seasonal Experience in South Dakota:
Winter months in South Dakota can be harsh and unpredictable, but the cabin offers a cozy and comfortable retreat during the colder season. It is especially well-suited for fall hunters taking advantage of the surrounding area, and for ice fishing enthusiasts in the winter months when ice conditions are safe and sufficiently thick.
