Clean, location, star rating!
Pool size, terrible reception staff at checkout, she was very stressful and with terrible energy! They will postpone your checkout receipt out their own connivence.

The downtown location was great for walking around the city. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable.

The bed.
Front desk staff. Parking. No room service. Mediocre room cleanliness. Overall disappointing.

Daher meine unterm Strich negative Bewertung.

Staff in the restaurant was great on every visit (breakfast twice and dinner once).
Make sure you don't stay on the 11th floor. You get to hear people outside in the courtyard right outside your window late into the night and cars in the parking garage all day just below you. There is also no where to get water/pop/snacks for you or your kids - you have to go across the street to the other Hilton. Want to eat not at the hotel? Almost no nearby options for lunch, but it does get better for dinner during the week.

Staff is really great, super helpful and welcoming.
Our shower grout was mildew stained, towels are ancient, super scratchy and worn down, robe was super hilariously old and worn, missing chess pieces for the games, thermostat busted- was like 52 degrees in our room. Summer blankets are very light without any extras in the room. Breakfast is decent but it took at least fifteen minutes to even get drip coffee.

Nice big clean room with good view
Some hidden costs and kicked off wifi as soon as checking out. Shame what has happened to Portland, down town is just not a nice place to be.

Location, comfy bed, big TV, helpful reception staff.
Bar staff not very hospitable. Seemed irritated that we were there.
Mandatory food/beverage fee.

Check in, location.
In room coffee supplies inadequate. In hotel parking $30 rate was presented as set by vendor, whereas it was owned by the hotel and was $20 off the the valet rate, but much higher than the adjacent city garage overnight rate of $8. Misleading!

The staff of the hotel and the manager of the hotel were very nice and kind to us
The first evening we arrived at the hotel we went down to dinner at the restaurant downstairs. After I asked the waitress for two different glasses of alcohol and she claimed that it is impossible to receive such service according to the hotel's rules, she called the manager and I asked the manager of the restaurant (her name is Mary) to resolve this, but instead of explaining to me in a nice way she decided to come with a very angry attitude and speak in a tone Flashy she just kicked me and my partner out of the restaurant in front of all the other guests sitting there for dinner, and then wanted all the restaurant and bar employees to forbid them from serving us. I travel a lot in hotels around the world. I have never met such disrespectful and offensive service. I am sure that I will not want to return to vacation again, unfortunately, nor will I recommend to family and friends.

because of starlight parade we were not able to park at the hotel, but rather a couple of blocks away in a random parking garage. Other than that, the only problems were that the internet and chromecast didn’t work. the blueberry coffee cake was also WAY TOO SUGARY. I couldn’t eat it and asked the waiters to please tell the cool to cool down on the sugar.

The bed was not quality. We sunk into it and work up with very sore backs.

Room was clean with a decent view. Location was great. May rose restaurant was amazing!
Parking was tedious.

Room clean and with a decent view from it's top floor. Big TV and able to connect by chromecast to your media accounts: Netflix, Amazon, and other entertainment sites.
Pillows are massive and bed very hard. Not sure it's worth to stay in downtown. The city is very dissapointing. Feels like its not alive. I'm sure you can get a better rate for your buck, outside DT. Parking is a challenge. We chose vallet parking just because the parking is offsite (nearby) but inconvenient. It is just another regular DT parking lot that doesn't belong to the hotel.

Reception staff kindly accepted my check-in even after 11pm

Great location, super friendly staff, clean rooms, cute bar. It was very walkable. Bars, restaurants, shopping, Powell’s books and VooDoo Doighnuts — all walkable.
The hallways and rooms were really dark. Even with all the lights/lamps on in the room, it was incredibly dim.

I love the vibe of old Portland and this hotel creates that for me
Wasn't super clean. Our toilet hadn't been flushed when we got there but it all looked cleaned so I think it just got missed😕

location
-waited in a line for an hour for checking (absolutely no apology at reception)
-gave us a room in the pool floor, chlorine smell was overwhelming
-I booked in advanced (almost one month) and sent them inquiries about parking and EV charging facilities. Absolutely NO Reply.
They have two gates for parking exit. One morning, I used the right-hand side, and the gate wasn't working . I walked to the personnel at Kiosk, he didn't even bother to leave his chair and ask me to reverse in a narrow pass.

I wanted this stay to be EXTRA special. We were in town to see my favorite artist on NYE, and my 40th birthday was 6 days away. I decided to treat myself.
When choosing a hotel for this visit, I looked at 4 criteria:
Distance to MODA
Breakfast included
Parking-safety and price
Upscale/Luxe experience at a reasonable price.
The Duniway checked ALL the boxes.
We stayed New Years Eve thru January 2nd. I chose The Duniway for many reasons, one being the close proximity to The MODA center. We were in town for Brandi Carlile's NYE Party. The Duniway is only a 1.6 mile Uber ride away, and we took the MAX back to the hotel after the concert. Perfect location!
The Duniway is BEAUTIFUL. You are instantly greeted with an impressive lobby that looks into the bar and the restaurant beyond. A rich, dark interior with warm lighting, beautiful nature/dystopian inspired paintings, and surprising funky hidden nicknacks.
We had a city view room with 2 queen beds. The beds were cozy and I loved spending time on the window seat or chaise/couch staring out at the city. The bathroom was modern black and white with high-end shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and soaps available. There was no microwave, but they brought one to us! Really liked being able to cast a movie I purchased on Amazon to the enormous TV.
Breakfast was to die for. No continental buffet here! (We had the inclusive breakfast package on our room, so not an extra dime beyond our room total was spent on any food mentioned in this review.) It was sit down dining and the waitstaff came to you to take your order. We had the breakfast Banh Mi and holy smokes. So delicious. I had a latte and the blueberry crumb cake both mornings in addition to the Banh Mi. One of the fees towards the room was actually credited back to us to use in their restaurant. $26/day. We were unaware that their restaurant required reservations, so that first night we ate across the street at The Hilton.
The bathroom was not well lit. There was a lighted makeup mirror, but it must have not been working properly because it was so dim.
Fridge was the tiniest mini fridge I've ever seen in a hotel. However, we were able to fit all the snacks we brought-fresh fruit and vege, some drinks, and a couple Stouffers mac n cheese for inevitablelate late-night munchies, and restaurant leftovers so it was ultimately not a problem.
Pool could have been warmer.

location.
noise constantly from unruly dogs! EACH DAY! I should have been compensated money back for the room!

Clean, great layout, and a great pet relief area on the 11th floor.
Parking in the garage was tight but that's to be expected- not much that can change there!
