the dining room was nice and the food was good and the service very pleasant
the room was impossible, small and right across from an office building into which one is forced to look and possibly be lookedat

I stayed at the hotel with two different pre-notations, one night for my company and the others two for personally reasons…
During the two different check-out happened in two different moment and days They didn’t warn me about anything while not even the time to arrive at the airport that I found the charge of 250€ on my card ( the business one by the way) for having smoked in the room.
I sent different messages to understand which was the problem but There was no way to stand my reasons… The evidences from the hotel’s staff were two sigarette with no sign of combustion, used only to roll a joint which we smoked outside and a sigarette butt inside the bowl of the toilette that could have been of anyone, maybe of the staff that used it as a reason to apply me the ticket and stole me 250€
I kept texting the hotel to ask real evidences but they didn’t answer me anymore(attached the photos they sent to me)
They complained about the smell of cigarettes but after the first checkout I kept staying there in a different room and they didn’t tell me anything or showed me the problem in person, they preferred to charge me the money once I was living the city.
It has never happened to me something like this.

Very comfortable and nicely designed. Perfect location, close to all the action of the central area, but on a nice quiet side street. All of the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, were very welcoming and helpful. Great shower in the bathroom!

I would just like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Hotel V for making our anniversary very special.
I'd informed them before arriving and they made the room extra special for our stay.
The Hotel was amazing and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Massively recommended!
Thanks again, Ryan & Danielle :)

A hidden gem. It's in one of the best locations in Amsterdam for getting around. There's a great bar and restaurant attached, and the breakfast is perfect. The hotel is boutique and has a great ambiance with friendly staff. Rooms are large, tidy, clean, and well kept with little extra things like a bluetooth speaker making all the difference. Great dining options all around, public transport at Spui (Metro) and light rail is only a minute or two walk away. Value for money compared to other bigger hotel names around here this is easily one of the best hotels in Amsterdam, and I've stayed at many...until I found Hotel V, this will be my regular from here on in.
The TV channel options aren't great for English speakers, but that's a tiny thing and its the same for all hotels in Amsterdam.

location was central yet in a quiet street
we had stayed in the hotel 6 months ago but when we came recently it looked like it has been run down…Also the housekeeping was inconvenient and not efficient

great hotel in a tranquile location. Rooms are tastefully decorated, bed truly comfortable, bathroom clean and nice. Room also quiet given carpet in the corridors, and I suspect walls are thick. I also invited business friends to eat in the hotel's restaurant The Lobby and it was exquisite. Breakfast is from the menu which I love because nothing is wasted and they serve sophisticated breakfast dishes like Eggs Benedict. All in all very satisfying.
I can't think of anything. Well my room was not very big as opposed to the price, but hey all hotels are expensive nowadays I Amsterdam....

Located at the very heart of Amsterdam's central shopping and dining districts, you will be able to reach the beautiful canals of Jordaan and the nine streets, as well as the Anna Frank Museum and other touristic attractions by foot from the hotel. The suites are all different one from the other, and if you choose your room well, you will have an enormous amount of space, which most of the other pricey hotels on the canals cannot offer. I chose the hotel for their spacious rooms, and found that it was well-priced with respects to it's neighbours. The bed was comfortable, the decor was trendy, and another good surprise were their delicious eggs benedict in their hip hotel restaurant in the morning. The final cherry on the pie was the kindness and availability of all the staff!
