This Olympic Valley home is a place you will want to return! The Mountaineer shuttle door to door service is available at this location. PROPERTY NOTES * We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towel, and laundry detergent, but recommend bringing extra for longer stays. * We do not provide shampoo / conditioner / or body wash although there could be some left from previous guests. * We recommend 4 x 4, AWD, or carrying snow chains in the winter months. * There is no air conditioning in this rental. * Firewood is not provided, but can be purchased at most local shops. Stayed 2 nights in January. Very clean. Dated furniture, appliances but everything worked. Very close to Palisades. 3 nice-sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and laundry. Quiet and convenient for skiing!

generally everything was fine. The place was something out of the 80's including the stovetop that was mostly broken and the upstairs toilet did not flush without holding the handle while doing so..Seems like time for an update on the furnishings and decor. It was clean and functional, very quiet and peaceful there and a great location.

Overall this place was fine. There were some small things that were annoying, mostly being they only gave us 1 key, which made for things to be a little.more comicated at the beginning. 2nd the wifi was AWFUL. There was no service upstairs only in the master bedroom/ kitchen area since the box was in the master bedroom.
Also, since this places is owned and run by a property management group I would think they could manage it better and overall design better. We were there for a trail race for a few nights, but I think the place needs a total redesign for what they charge per night

This was the perfect spot for our family to gather to attend the graduation festivities at Sugarbowl Academy. We came from Minnesota and Sebastopol CA. Comfy beds and lovely hangout spaces. We loved it. Thank you.

Place is right in Olympic Valley allowing you to use the Mountaineer app to get to Palisades. Place was very clean. Property is a bit dated and could use some updating; especially the kitchen range. Overall a great place for my friends and I for a weekend of skiing/snowboarding.

TV was broken and the first night was freezing because we didn’t know how to turn on the heat on the ground floor. Had to reach out to the property manager twice, finally figured it out after 12 hours

Last-minute Tahoe trip
I booked this VRBO the day before we arrived at a great rate. Our plans to go to a family camp near Hetch Hetchy fell through due to a Covid outbreak amongst the staff, so my friends and I were looking for something else near the resort at Olympic Valley, because some other families in our party were staying there. This condo was perfect for my family and another family. Each of our families had their own bathroom, which was important. We had a place to gather indoors away from the mosquitos where the teens could play games and listen to music. We were able to cook meals together in the kitchen. In the mornings, the deck was lovely for sipping coffee and chatting. I went on a walk up the hill and discovered a little trail that ends at a private property gate. But it was lovely and peaceful. We went rafting on the Truckee river one day, and ate out on occasion. Thank you so much! Check in and check out for easy, as were communications with the manager.

Property was in a great location. The cleanliness issue we had was in the downstairs bathroom where the rug was wet upon arrival and appeared pretty dirty and the toilet was not very clean. I would also recommend changing out the sponge for new visitors.

We had a fun family gathering at Tahoe. The cabin was perfectly located near other family members on a quiet, scenic street.

Great location - cozy and warm
Great location - close to 89 (between truckee and tahoe city). 5 minutes to palisades tahoe resort and 10 minutes to Alpine Meadows. Clean. Very cozy. We only had two people, but could easily fit a family. Good washer and dryer.

We enjoyed our stay at The Aspens. The condo was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space! Unfortunately, there was only one working channel on the tv, but it was fine, as we played games instead.
We cooked in the home, as well as ate in The Village. The location was great, as it was only a 5 minute drive to Palisades.

We enjoyed our stay at The Aspens. The condo was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space! Unfortunately, there was only one working channel on the tv, but it was fine, as we played games instead.

Clean and comfortable condo just 5 minutes away from Palisades. The location was incredibly convenient and we figured we saved about 2 hours of driving compared to when we stayed in Truckee. The place is a more dated mountain style but it was very clean, comfortable, well taken care of and well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo and will try and book it again in the future!
One note, the shared HOA hot tub was not filled. Maybe this is a covid precaution?

However, two important things did not work when we arrived: the shower in MBR did not work - nor the tub stopper so baths were not an available alternative - so we all shared one bathroom for showering. Also two of the four stovetop burners did not work. I can't comment on the property mgmt b/c I never contacted them during our stay - I do not want to be calling and arranging repairs while on vacation!. They did not check in to see how we were either. I gave 1 star b/c I was firced to provide a rating for property mgmt

Had an issue upon check in but the property managers were available and extremely accommodating to help remedy the situation - felt they went above and beyond and this was very much appreciated.

Great Weekend!
Cozy place with great amenities and location. Only concern was that nearly every dish we pulled out of the cabinet was dirty with coffee grounds, water spots or food. Other than needing to clean the dishes, we had a great time!

With NO internet or TV throughout vacation if you need to work or use TV instead of real conversation or games you're SOOL. We actually bonded so not so bad, but wired family's SHOULD NOT RENT THIS PLACE.

Great family trip!
Overall the condo was comfortable and clean. It took us a night to figure out the baseboard heaters, night one we were a little warm. Worth noting, the Squaw Valley Mountaineer shuttle service was amazing making is as though we were staying at a ski in/ski out accommodation preventing us from having to drive and park at the resort.

Quaint condo really close to everything
3 Bedrooms close to Squaw. The running crick across the street was beautiful to see and hear. Super close not only to squaw but also Tahoe City and Truckee river rafting. Awesome location for summer activities. The condo needs a little bit of love on small details (e.g. the master bedroom headboard not attached, bed and pillows seemed like they were 30 years old - my husband ended up sleeping on the couch). All in all it was a great fit for our family of 4 with room to spare.

Nice cabin close to Squaw Valley
Very comfortable for the five of us. It was a very hot weekend and the cabin remained comfortable by closingsing windows and shades during the day. It was clean, WiFi was good and we were quite comfortable while attending a festival at Squaw. It was walkable ( 30-40minutes about ). We brought bikes and found it quite easy to bike back and forth on the bike path.

This property was very well appointed and very comfortable. Everything was just as described in the property listing. The location was perfect and convenient to everything, and turned out to be just across the street from our daughter and son-in-law's place! Well equipped kitchen, huge washer/dryer, and massive comfy couch. Would have liked chairs for the big deck out front. Only negative was the fixtures in the sink and shower in the second floor bathroom...nearly impossible to turn the water off and on unless you have superhuman strength, and the shower head wouldn't adjust. Otherwise, we loved the house and the few days we spent there.

The place was in a good location and accommodations were good. We were two families. One couple took the Master Bedroom and the other family took the two upstair rooms and shared bath. Place was fully equipped.The fireplace was great although there wasn't any kindling so we had to make some of our own. It rained while we were there and we had an issue with a leak from the light in the kitchen. I called the emergency number and then the number of the rental the next day. No one ever got back to me. Good think it wasn't a real emergency.

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Aspens at Squaw Valley. The unit was spacious and comfortable for our family of four adults and two young children. It was quiet and peaceful, set back from the road, but also very convenient to Squaw Village, and the road to Tahoe City. The unit was homey -- it felt loved, like somebody who isn't a renter really cares about it, and uses it. The only downsides were that the mattresses were extremely hard, no bed was larger than a full, and the heat was a little bit iffy in the living room. That last thing happened only at the very end of our stay, and I'm sure the management company, who was friendly, flexible and responsive, has taken steps to address it.
