I had forgotten to ask for a bottom bunk bed when I booked so I was very lucky that a girl checked out early not long after I had checked in so I asked reception if I could move and he said yes, so I swapped the bedding around. There were female only showers and toilets so that was great. Theres a kitchen that you can use to cook your own meals. I think the hostel is better suited for the younger crowd. Take your own towel coz I think you have to hire them and also a padlock.
Lidl next door for your groceries.
You take 2 different trams to get to the city and it’s about a 6 min walk to the tram stop from hostel.

The man at the reception. Young man, very kind and helpful
Dirty underwear by my bed that no one in the room had. Lock on our room door didn’t work. Male WC disgusting, so dirty. Female WC was ok.
Location not good. Expensive. Room unbreathable so heavy air in the morning. Afraid to have the windows open, outside the window a lot of trash. No one wanted a rat in the room, given the rat problem Amsterdam is facing
