The house was very nice and big with all that we needed for the stay.The host was very helpful, and even came with cake on my son's birthday. It would be good, if there was aircondition in the bedrooms and kitchen, but that is only thing missing.

There were a beautiful and big garden and many terraces. Check-in procedure was very good. We arrived late (by ferrie) but that was no problem at all.

The house in Castellamare del Golfo is a small paradise, just as seen in the photos and description. It offers complete peace and quiet, and a small, tranquil (in October), beautiful beach is just a few hundred meters away. We took some great trips by car around the area. The hosts, Vincenzo Mancuso and his mother, are very warm and always open to questions. We would love to come back!

"This is a fabulous holiday house, clean, tranquil, comfortable and very spacious, set amongst olive, fig and pear trees, with stunning views of both mountains and sea. We enjoyed breakfasts, lunches and evening meals on the veranda with magnificent views.
We were made to feel very welcome by the owners who invited us to join them on a boat trip around the coast, visiting the many pretty coves. We swam in crystal clear waters and enjoyed a picnic of panella and arancini di riso. We visited the local beach (pebbly but very clean)and particularly enjoyed our trips to Scoppello (beautiful and picturesque) Erice (stunning cable car ride up to the medieval mountain top town) and Alcamo market. Castellemaro is about a ten minute drive away and we had a couple of lovely evenings there, sampling local Sicilian cuisine as well as the lively nightlife (cafes/bars/restaurants and an evening market).
We were glad that we had hired a car as this meant that we could explore the region and indeed, a car was essential for shopping for food. The nearest supermarket sells wonderful local produce but you need a car to reach it. We had a thoroughly relaxing time and hope to return next year!"
