Accessible, easy, comfortable

Laid out well, room was small but comfortable, easy to find and close enough to bus stops ect. Felt very safe and secure

Probably how much you could hear, but I suppose there is no avoiding that when you’re close to the city. Also the main gate was very loud and would be banged in the middle of the night

Spartan living but good loacation

Functional and pretty close to the restaurants and bars (15min walk). Nothing super but still good if you want to live close by the city center. Good shower and helpful staff.

The bed was a bit small (120cm).

The room was on the smaller side. The shower in the bathroom was not working, which was quite an inconvenience.

Simple accommodations, comfy and quiet

Checking in was very easy. I asked for some toiletries when I got there and they were happy to provide me with some. My room was a few floors up, so I had a great view of the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, and it's not a far walk to St. Patrick's Cathedral and Marsh's Library. The area itself was pretty quiet at night, but it could get loud at the distillery during the day. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. There was plenty of storage in the room as well.

Since it's sort of the off-season for university housing, the kitchen was sort of shut off. I could go in and probably could have figured it out if I talked to the staff, but some of the cabinets seemed broken or in disrepair so I didn't really touch anything. It's also a fairly barebones room: in my previous experiences with university housing, you only get the basics, so I wasn't surprised to find the room lacking things like clothing hangers or towels, but if you're expecting those things, you might wanna talk to the staff and ask if they have any they can give/rent you. It also got a little hot during the day, but again, that was all of Dublin and there's really nothing they could do about that.

The studio was big enough for me and my sister. Loved having a fridge and microwave. The washing machine facilities were great.

Exceeded expectations. Grateful for the provicy, peace and quiet. Felt safe as a lone traveller

Was really happy with the bathroom (especially shower). Plenty of storage and very quiet.

The room was extremely hot and made it very hard to sleep, although fans were available to counteract, a deposit was needed.

Good budget option close to the heart of Dublin

Well priced, centrally located, clean and modern. 24 hour reception. Comfortable beds.

No fan or cooling available in the room, you can hire a fan from reception but the one we were given was little over the size of a hand fan and made next to no difference in the height of a heat wave. There's a deposit to be paid on arrival for potential damages which is fine, but the refund of this deposit was slow. Reception boasts that they have cold drinks etc available, but upon enquiring, most were out of stock. Beds are quite small - this is advertised, though!

Good value and location, would probably stay again

Amazing location, very clean, friendly staff, nice size room, quiet at night.

would have been better to have some basic cooking equipment provided at reception (even for a deposit/ fee) as the room has an oven and microwave to use but you’re unable to cook as nothing to cook with. Mattress wasn’t very comfortable.

okay for a short stay but needs more thought

it was conveniently located and a good price compared to other places on offer in Dublin for the same dates. it’s a great idea rather than having the student accom empty over the summer and has a lot of potential to be really good

we had a studio apartment which was really dirty, the floor made our socks black and dust everywhere! the sink was blocked and kept filling up. the kitchen was really under equipped, there was hardly anything available so it wasn’t possible to cook at all (who travels with pots and pans?!).

Very good

This was not a hotel, but a comfortable studend accomodation with small modern appartments (bath included) and kitchen/living room for every floor. You can rent a towel for 3€ or anything else (hair dryer). Lot of good (very good price/quality) breakfast opoprtunies arround, one direct in front. By bus or feet you can reach the center around 10/20min.

Like many things in Irland the beds are a little bit narrow (120cm) for an older couple. Our rooms were on the ground level (choosen randomly), so we had no view but permanent low machine noise.

If you know it's basic student accommodation and don't mind - acceptably cheap for a Dublin visit.

It was cheap, clean, and within walking distance of the centre. We had four rooms for 8 people, and the common lounge/kitchen area was a bonus we had not expected. Exceptionally good value breakfast nearby at the Ginger Cafe, 95 Francis Street, and really nice staff.

Check in was hopelessly disorganised. Difficult to believe there was any functioning booking sysem - much poring over computer screens by very few staff. Shocked to be emailed when we were actually en route to say that check in could take up to 4 hours, so did we want a refund? Huge queue on arrival, and it was suggested we go away for a couple of hours. On return, it still took an hour to get into our rooms. The 3/4 size bed, against a wall on one side is quite cramped for 2 people. The double rooms are obviously intended for single students normally. No coat hangers of any description.

Good for a day or two

It was easily accessible and not too far of a walk to places.

The rooms weren’t clean. The floors were really dirty and hadn’t seen a hoover or mop for a while. No hand soap or hand towels. Rooms were so so warm.

The place was no prepared for the summer. My husband and I were moved 2 times do to dirty rooms that they told us were clean. We tried to check in at 6 pm and finally got to a clean room at 11pm. By that point there was nothing else available in town so stayed for the night and found a new place the following day. It is self service so remember to bring all things if staying. Towels, fans and hair dryers(as they ran out of them for guests to use ). Cool concept opening the student housing for summer tourism but very very poorly run. Everyone we encountered had a lot of issues

Out of the way location that is not worth the price.

It's reasonably new and my GPS found it without much difficulty. That's it.

There was a time when "student accommodation" was cheap and about what you would expect from dorm housing. Destiny is "student accommodation" at hotel prices and hostel amenities. There is an online pre-check-in process that serves no obvious purpose, as you have to present the same documentation upon arrival and before getting keys. Not sure the point of that. The accommodation necessitates transportation by car or foot from/to airport or train station, as it is not within at least three quarters of a mile of the nearest bus stop. I had two small bags, so I hoofed it from the train station coming in and to the Liffey to pick up the AirCoach going out, but if you've got anything big or more than one significant item, you're taking a costly taxi or Uber. Factor that in when looking at overall costs. The room is tiny, the mattress feels like it is made out of cardboard, the sheets are 100% polyester and not comfortable, and the pillows are flat. There is no shampoo or soap available, and while they say somewhere that "we are not a hotel," these are basics regardless. Towels are rented rather than provided, as if towels are now an optional item instead of assuming that visitors will want to clean themselves at some point. So, there's another 3 Euros, and, ya know, why? At night, it was not loud in terms of people, but the doors are on a spring hinge and slam, hard, each time they close. Not cool at 1am, 1:30am, 2am...you get the point. Would not stay here again, ever.
