About this condo rental
The charm of the attic, with parquet floors, beamed ceilings, elegant furnishings, simple and refined details. From each of these 6 windows you can see a surprising view, the river Tejo, the Pantheon and the rooftops of the city. There is a small terrace where to rest, eating and drinking a glass in a silence that makes you forget to be in the center in a European capital. The apartment is perfect for a short time staying, from 2 to 30 days. We have completely refurnished and renovated it in January 2012, taking care passionately and respecting the architectural characteristics of the apartment The apartment is at the 4th floor. No elevator. In the apartment there is a little guide book to give you some tips about restaurant, pubs, cultural places and nice place and intersting site in the neighbourhood, where to listen live music, services like supermarket, biological food, public transportation. Indipendent heating with room thermostate, programmed heating or manual. Free wireless fast internet connection obviously available 24h/day.Small terrestrial digital cable TV. Fully equipped with kitchen, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, electric kettle, all pots and pans needed. Living room with a double sofa bed 140*200. Bedroom with double bed of 160*200 cm (4 feet), providing ample space underneath for luggage and other objects. Second sleeping room suitable for two people. Bathroom with shower and endless hot water, soap and shampoo. Hair Dryer furnished. Coffee, tea, oil, salt, spices, detergents and any basic alimentary needings provided Walk-in closet, with space for hanging plus washing machine. An iron is also equipped. Within walking distance, there are groceries, restaurants at reasonable price (which, if you wish, bring home dinner or lunch), many shops, bakeries, pastry shops, bars and supermarkets. Less then 5 minutes walking to reach the closest metro station (Santa Apolonia). 10 minutes walking to reach the Cathedral, the Castel of Sao Jorge THERE IS A PARKING OPTION, the apartment,is in a Traffic Limited Zone, if you have a car you can park in in a public garage at 600 meters away from the apartment. The parking fee is not included: (consider an additional cost of €8,00 p/day) payable in cash at the moment of your arrival.directly at the parking.

My friend and I enjoyed this stay on our three day trip in Lisbon. As others have mentioned, it is in the attic, and there is no elevator, so you must be mobile in order to climb to the top, especially with luggage. The apartment itself was interesting and had a lot of character such as exposed brick and beams, and we loved the tile detailing in the bedroom. The bathroom was bare-bones, but clean and did the job. The location was a lot of fun.

The apartment is spacious enough for two and has lovely light and views. The downside is the poor quality of the beds, pillows and bed linens which are in desperate need of an upgrade.

We loved our stay in Alfama. We were close to everything and were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to go. The apartment was perfect for what we needed. We even cooked a few meals there. The book of recommendations was really helpful. We went to two restaurants from the book and the food was amazing! We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay in Lisbon. This little apartment is in a convenient location close to many small markets, restaurants, and souvenir shops. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown Lisbon, which was reasonable, and we took Uber when we were too tired or didn’t have the time to walk. There is a lovely view of the Pantheon from the terrace, and many large windows providing natural light, and nice views. There are several small mirrors on the walls in the bedrooms, which were very helpful for applying makeup in the natural light. The apartment was clean, and our contact responded when we had any questions or problems. There is an excellent sushi restaurant right around the corner less than a block away – we went twice in one day!
A few things to consider about the apartment itself:
There are 91 interior spiral stairs to get to the apartment, and no assistance with luggage.
The couch was extremely uncomfortable, and there weren’t any other comfortable furniture options in the apartment.
The beds are more like cots and also uncomfortable.
Bathroom is very small with just a stand up shower and no bathtub.
We very much appreciated the lovely neighborhood and enjoyed walking the cobblestone streets and dining on all of the delicious food!

Great location. We walked to all the main areas to explore. Cute restaurants, small grocery store, shops, flea market, right around the corner. Close to train station when we left city. Loved the view from the terrace. You are at the top of building with no elevator - wasn't an issue for us. Friendly owner, friendly people at the nearby restaurants and shops.

Apartment had all the amenities (fridge, clothes washer, stove, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, etc.). Good water pressure. Enough hot water for 2 consecutive showers.
Cute deck with nice view of National Pantheon. Three sides of the unit had windows that opened for cross breeze. Comfy bed.
Good location. Very close to train station, lots of restaurants, little grocery markets.

My boyfriend and I searched high and low for a stay that had a great view and great location. This is it ! We loved the apartment it is cute and spacious. Also, during the summer months the ac was a life saver after our long days sight seeing.
The stay is very close to the airport and walking distance from main tourist attractions and eateries. We decided to rent a car for two days to explore some beach towns. Luckily there is 24 hour parking about a 5 minute walk from the apartment for only 8 euros a day. I would definitely recommend this stay to my family and friends.

Kurztrip im Mai 2022
Die Unterkunft war für unseren Kurztrip perfekt.
Die Wohnung liegt mitten in Alfama und es hat rundherum gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sowie einige Bars und Restaurants. Die Wohnung liegt im vierten Stock und das Haus hat keinen Aufzug... super Konditionstraining ;-). Die Aussicht vom Balkon ist nicht der große Kracher aber bei einer Stadt wie Lissabon verbringt man ja auch die meiste Zeit außerhalb der Wohnung. Die Küche ist verhältnismäßig super ausgestattet. Die hohen Küchenschränke kann man dank einer Leiter gut erreichen.
Wir werden die Wohnung weiterempfehlen und sie auch nochmal buchen.

We found the bathroom to be a bit tight but everything works and the shower has good pressure and plenty of hot water. We stayed for a month and plenty of linens and towels were provided. The apartment was very comfortable, even on the occasional days when we never left. Other people have commented on the stairs and yes, it’s five flights up with no elevator so you will get a workout coming home. However it’s not nothing that any reasonably healthy adult can’t contend with (my wife and I are in our 60’s). Knowing what we know now, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Overall a terrific little place.

Wunderschöne Wohnung, tolle Lage
Wir waren in der Zeit vom 29.10. - 5.11.2019 in der sehr schönen Wohnung und haben die Wohnung und die Stadt sehr genossen. Die Wohnung bietet alles, was für einen tollen Lissabon-Aufenthalt notwendig ist und noch einiges mehr (beispielsweise der phantastische Blick von der Dachterrasse). Die Lage ist wunderbar geeignet für Streifzüge zu Fuß durch die Stadt.

Schöne gemütliche Wohnung mit kleinem Balkon und schönem Blick.Sehr individuell ausgebaut ,gute Betten und sehr ruhig obwohl sich die Wohnung sehr zentral und mitten drin befindet! Man sollte allerdings gut zu Fuss sein,die Treppen sind nicht ohne😉Wir haben die Woche sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen

Tolle Lage in der Altstadt Lissabons
Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Zeit in Lissabon. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, sauber und für 4 Personen völlig in Ordnung. Leider waren wir zu einer Zeit dort, als sich eine Etage tiefer eine Baustelle befunden hat. Die Vermieter konnten das jedoch sehr schnell klären und wir hatten somit noch ein schönes Wochenende dort. Da sich die Wohnung in der 4. Etage eines Altbaus befindet sollte man jedoch gut zu Fuß sein.

Had a great stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. We loved the small but functional balcony with the spectacular view. The Pantheon is so close you feel you could touch it from the balcony!. I would suggest more comfortable furniture for the balcony though - I would have spent more time out there if the chairs were more enjoyable!!
The space was more than adequate for two people. Beds were comfortable, shower had great water pressure, apartment was stocked with the basic amenities and most importantly was clean. The building and neighborhood were surprisingly quiet. Loved the narrow cobbled streets of Alfama. It was an easy walk to the city centre. There were great restaurants, cafes and wine bars close to the apartment though if you didn't want to stray too far from home. As mentioned in previous comments, the stairs are many but worth the climb to get the view!
Susanna was helpful upon arrival and responded to a couple of questions quickly during our stay. I had asked about the best way to arrive from the airport and we were told that taking a cab was the fastest and easiest way and would cost around 20 euro. Although the easiest way to go, I caution that it cost closer to 40 euro! We are not generally comfortable taking local transport but we did to get back to the airport when we left. The subway was super easy and cost 2 euro each!! Much better than the 40 we spent on a taxi!
Had to buy a bar of soap for the shower and I forget that face cloths aren't always used by Europeans!
Would recommend this apartment and location to everyone!

Great location.
It is actually on the 5th floor (4 sets of 20 stairs each to climb) but great exercise!! A very quiet apartment, lovely deck, and Susanna and her son Pedro were able to accommodate us, as needed. It was close to lots of restaurants, groceries, museums, train station, a shoe store and o much more. Queen bed is a futon, pullout couch mattress is a pretty comfy queen size, too. Wonderful stay and would highly recommend this unit and the hosts! Thanks, Susanna. Cate & Chas

An enjoyable Stay during New Year 2018
We found the apartment to be in a very good location , very quiet and clean. We found ourselves in the Alfama atmosphere instantly. Susanna was friendly and supportive. The kitchen would deserve renovation for sure but overall a good spot . The apartment is very sunny in the afternoon with lot of natural light coming in . We had a good stay .

Lisbon gem
This apartment is a gem and made our stay in Lisbon perfect. Yes it's a climb up the street and the stairs but it allowed us to eat and drink more. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on!

Good location - bright, airy and comfortable
The apartment is in a good location but was quite difficult to find initially especially when new to the city. Our taxi dropped us at the bottom of the adjoining road which was closed half way up. Therefore our arrival was somewhat later than we had anticipated and the member of staff meeting us was less than welcoming and openly displayed agitation at our lateness and lack of familiarity with Lisbon.
However the apartment was a good space for 4 friends sharing and was comfortable, bright and airy. Nice to have the little outside terrace too.
It may benefit from a more thorough clean and check between bookings, the shower tray plug hole was clogged with hair, no light bulb in twin room lamp, some kitchen items needed washing before use.
Lisbon is a great city destination and I would recommend it to friends. The Apartment is good value for money.

Bright apartment with very nice terrace in great location
This apartment is very comfortable. It has great views and lots of light. Only caveat is that you have to be prepared to walk up four flights of stairs which after a late night of fado and wine can be a little daunting. Otherwise, although the location in Alfama is central, the apartment is quiet. We had an overall good stay here and would recommend.

Loved this place!
We had a great stay in this apartment - it's a wonderful location in Alfama. We were 2 couples in this small apartment, but with the terrace and the windows open it was breezy and seemed spacious enough. One bedroom was made to a queen and the other had twin beds that could be pushed together. The bathroom is small, but modern and ample. There are lots of stairs up to the 4th floor, so along with walking in Lisbon all day, it was great exercise. The location was great. We walked to everything and there are lots of fun places to eat and drink right along the streets nearby. Thanks for a great home!

Beautiful views, Perfect location, Very friendly
We arrived and were greeted at the door. It was our first time to Lisbon, and the Alfama area has very confusing streets to follow. The taxi dropped us off, and we found the door to the apartment building very easily. Lots of stairs, so if you have heavy bags you might struggle a bit, but it's worth it as the unit is incredible and right down the street from some great Fado bars.

Great outside space in a good location
We rented both Alfama 1 and 2 which gave us a great space for an extended family break. Owner was very accommodating and helpful. Apartments are in a good location, easy to walk to many of the main attractions or use public transport. Would classify both apartments as good, could easily be great with better equipment in the kitchen including crockery etc.
