About this house rental
Set back on Acequia Madre in the iconic Eastside of Santa Fe, this 2015 Historic Preservation Award winning retreat has been lovingly and meticulously remodeled into a luxuriously spectacular display of authentic New Mexican architecture. On over one-third of an acre, the property parallels the famed art district of Canyon Road and borders the historic Acequia Madre- Mother Ditch, the oldest native waterway in Santa Fe. It is in a prime location in the historic Eastside, and walking distance to Geronimo’s, El Farol, Caffe Greco, and all the famed art galleries. In addition, you can walk to the Historic Plaza or take a quick 5-minute drive anywhere downtown. This historic 1930’s home has been painstakingly remodeled and won “Best Historic remodel of 2015” presented by the city of Santa Fe. With lovely touches of smooth plaster walls and vigas through parts of the main and guest house, the open and airy living and entertaining spaces capture the romanticism of classic Santa Fe style. Indoor and outdoor fireplaces make for a cozy and authentic Santa Fe experience. It consists of the main house, which has 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms, plus a fourth bedroom with a Trundle bed ideal for kids. The Casita is a full 2 bedroom/2 bathroom home complete with washer dryer. The Casita has a full kitchen as well so parties can join together with the main house or have separate kitchen facilities. Casita guests can have a totally private experience if desired. The main house has stone counters in the baths and upscale chefs’ kitchen with Wolf and Subzero. Brick and stone floors throughout and two indoor and one outdoor fireplace, all on one level with lovely outdoor patio and portaled sitting spaces make for an ideal respite. The layout is perfect for families or couples traveling together. The entire compound sleeps 10 comfortably, and has 2 kings, 2 queens, 2 twins, and a trundle bed. The overall house and casita are almost 4000 square feet of indoor living space. There is a 2-car garage (rare on the East side) and plenty of additional off-street parking. Other amenities include A/C in the main house, separate security systems, and baseboard and in-floor radiant heating. The home was lovely. The main house has a well equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The casita has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There were multiple outdoor seating areas. Walking distance to galleries, coffee shop, and restaurants. Truly a lovely home.

This is the second reunion we've had in Santa Fe in six years, it is a central location in a nice location. We need lots of bedrooms / bathrooms, large kitchen and dining area. This property was the right combination of separation and common areas between the two houses. Unique space in a quiet neighborhood, would visit again!

The house was beautiful and perfect for a girlfriend vacation.
We especially enjoyed the porch and patios as our gathering places for cocktails each evening. Location was perfect. Despite a few maintenance issues we had a great time.

Our family of 9 had a wonderful time in this property! Our older children stayed in the guest house we had 5 that stayed in the main house. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch every morning and evening. We were also walking distance to great restaurants and shopping on Canyon road. Would highly recommend this property! We will book again!

Just a note .. we received an envelope stating 2 sets of keys. there was only one. We returned the one upon check out. I am sure it is standard to issue 2 sets, but the paperwork should reflect only 1 when you only plan to give one. Small detail.

We loved the house and the neighborhood. The setup worked well for our family. It was nice to be able to walk downtown and to shopping and eating places. Everyone was prompt about getting back to me when I had a question.

I was worried we'd be cramped, but we had sooo much space in the house. With four patio areas (two with beautiful Kivas), there was also a ton of space to stretch outside, too.
The house was so close to everything...an easy walk to food and galleries. Even the Plaza is less than a mile away. Despite how close it is to everything, it was one of the most peaceful places we've stayed in. We would definitely rent it again if we were in Santa Fe.

The house was so close to everything...an easy walk to food and galleries. Even the Plaza is less than a mile away. Despite how close it is to everything, it was one of the most peaceful places we've stayed in. We would definitely rent it again if we were in Santa Fe.

Overall excellent stay! The team was great until they received all the money. Then I had to push them for some amenities that we had agreed up a year ago when I made the deposit. Also, you need to rewrite your emails when you are requesting something from the tenant. You don't say things like "If we don't receive the balance of your payment by such and such date, we will take it out of your credit card." This is threatening, and you are dealing with a population that does not take kindly to that (who does?). Say something like, "A gentle reminder that your balance is coming due by ..._)

A wonderful getaway!
Our group of five old friends truly enjoyed our stay at Casa los Dos. The house and guesthouse are both lovely, with so much history, and yet modernized just enough for today. It is situated close to all of the best of Santa Fe, yet in a quiet neighborhood. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Exceptional Location
This property was immaculate. Sprinkled with amazing art on the walls, high-end kitchen appliances, and beautiful decor, our stay was refreshing and serene. The location was right next to Canyon Road and very close to all that is to be seen in Santa Fe. I highly recommend this property to anyone wishing for a place that is quiet, spacious, and gorgeous!

Historic house in great location
We really got a feel for Santa Fe by staying at the historic Casa Los Dos. It was well located near Canyon Road and in walking distance to the Plaza and so many restaurants. Having two rooms with bathrooms in the casita as well as 3 rooms and bathrooms in the main house was perfect for our large family gathering. We definitely highly recommend this house.

We were gathering family for an 85th birthday. The house and casita were perfect for our group of eight. The home was beautiful and well maintained. We will come back!

Great house with excellent facilities
We loved staying at Casa Los Dos. The standard of furniture, fit and finish and implements around the house are excellent. There are several outdoor entertainment areas also. This is a great house for large groups.
