It truly is fit for a king! House of Kings is a 3-level vacation home boasting gorgeous decor, including new top-of-the-line mattresses. All five bedrooms have flat screens - the master has a 60', the other king bedrooms have 40', and the kid's bunk room has a 32'. There are flat screens in the living room and the game room, which also has a pool table, private balcony, wet bar and music tower for iPods or iPads. This home has a pre-wired sound system and can be regulated for each floor separately. Enjoy the surround music center in the living room and either Blu-ray or DVD in every room that has a TV. No chance of anyone being bored here! The master bedroom is located on the second floor and has a private bath, XL garden tub, private balcony, and a wet bar. There are 3 more bedrooms with king-sized beds (one located on the first floor), and the fifth bedroom has a bunk bed with a full mattress and twin sized bed. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop. If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We had an excellent time at the House of Kings. The listing was just as described. Talking with RealJoy was easy and they met our needs in a timely manner. We even extended our stay by a day! Will definitely stay again!

We all loves the house! Bedrooms are nice and so was the kitchen and pool room is a plus. On the other hand the washer has a bad smell and has mold buildup. My husband had to double clean the grill because it seemed as if it was never cleaned. The refrigerator was not getting cold. The temps were not set right. It took the day of check in to Tuesday to get cold.

The home was clean and spacious. We had plenty of room for our party of 9. The pool was incredible and it was nice to have the beach such a a short drive away!

This is our 2nd time staying in this neighborhood. It is in a great location both close to the beach and shopping.
The communication between the property manager was excellent.
The house itself needs maintenance and upgrades. There is wear & tear that is visible. However, it was sufficient for a short stay.
Unfortunately, the people who were there before us left the house in a pretty big mess so we were delayed a bit for check in. The cleaner was pretty awesome and allowed us to drop our food off while he finished cleaning. He did a great job cleaning but I think us seeing the things that were left behind by the previous renters was a little off putting. That was no fault of the owners or cleaners.
All in all, once we got settled, the property served its purpose for our weekend.

Great place
Location is great about 7 minute walk to beach, we had a large group and there was plenty of space to not bump into everyone. Only issue I found was parking 3 slots for a house holding that many people and finding a spot in overflow parking was usually impossible!

VERY VERY IMPRESSED. Well worth the trip. Checking and out wonderful process. Clean facility. We had a problem. Out washer went out and for 14 people that’s a problem. I reported it and that day they were there w a replacement washer. Wonderful time and very comfy stay!!!

We truly enjoyed our time together and the “House of Kings” was the perfect size for all of us.
Overall, the house was nice. However, cleanliness was average, furniture worn and scratched, tile floors on main level were very dirty, especially along the baseboards.
The kitchen was not well equipped with cookware; one skillet that was small, lots of plastic containers that seemed to have been left behind by guests, and lower cabinets very dirty where pots and pans were stored. In addition, the pool table and pool cues were in bad shape- no felt ends, no chalk, pockets ripped. It’s sad because we know none of this is the owner/rental company’s fault, but merely bad tenants and comes with the territory. As for the home, overall you can tell it’s a beautiful home that has unfortunately, been not well respected by some remnants. It would help to give the wood trim and doors a fresh coat of paint after a very deep cleaning of the entire home. Whoever RealJoy hits to do checkout cleanings is not doing a good job. It would also help to have instructions on how to use the TV’s. The main level had 3 remotes and it was all very confusing.
The last thing I’d like to say is how dirty the landscape and outside neighborhood was in the entire subdivision, streets, sidewalks, leaves and debris, in some cases, garbage, everywhere. Also brought the ascetics of the overall subdivision, down considerably.
All of this is with the best intentions that it’s taken constructively for the next renters to know. We spent every day at the beach down by The Crab Trap and went to Miramar beach close to pompano Joe’s. The beaches and the gorgeous water in Destin are truly stunning!! Thank you helping us make amazing memories at your place,

Adult retreat
Wonderful location and the house was awesome as well. Previous visitors complained about a foul odor, however I found the issue!!! Old seashells in a small container of beach like salt water, were sitting on one of shelves by the stairway, the water was obviously spoiled! Only complaint is the ceiling fan on the third floor's balcony is very loose. When we turned on the switch, it started shaking very bad. Very nice neighborhood and close to grocery store and shopping plaza. It is approximately a 3 mile ride to harbor walk and about 3 miles opposite direction to the outlet mall.

If your looking for the most uncomfortable mattresses that remind you of sleeping on a hardwood floor or a musty wet odor coming from the 2nd floor bedrooms, a fridge that smells of horrid fish and has seeped into the kitchen cabinets next to it and also sticky stuff on the main floor bedroom closet carpet then this is the place for you! To top it off this house has a massive infestation of termites we had to deal with in the dining room as they ate their way thru the window trim and baseboards. They were flying on our food, while the 1 year old was crawling thru them. We found some on the second floor as well. The home appeared cleaned but the floors were very dirty. There are stains on my 1 year olds pants that have not come out since washing numerous times because the floor was so dirty.
We enjoyed the vacation overall as long as it didn’t involve spending time at the house.

The property was beautiful needed some things fixed like stated in the reviews
Enjoyed property just needed some things repaired like stated in the previous reviews and playing pool on the 3rd level of the home which had a pool table had to step out on balcony to get a extra chair while opening door maintenance had a problem which didn’t understand because we were in the house otherwise I would prefer a single family home not in a resort type setting but otherwise had a nice time on a 3 hour Sunquest dinner cruise which was lovely

Good overall
Description is spot on. Take pictures of everything because some items are already damaged (pool table leg screwed/glued together and leaning over). Pool is great. The only complaint is the last tenant's stinky trash sat outside our front door in the June heat for days before it was taken away .

House was in poor condition upon arrival. Mgt. Unresponsive and not helpful
When we arrived the house had not been cleaned, there were razors, dirty sheets, towels, floors etc. When trying to contact Mgt. We couldn't reach one, the only person we reached was a reservation counselor and the house keeping. Mgt still hasn't been able to be reached. The reservation counselor tried offering a free excursion but wouldn't accommodate our whole party. The first day was spent sitting outside the home for 3 hours waiting on house keeping to arrive and complete the home. This put a sour taste in our mouths but not being able to reach anyone has made this even worse. The Mgt clearly isn't worried or concerned about the enjoyment of our stay, it must just be about the Almighty dollar. We paid too much for this to have this type of experience. We are very unhappy and this review could have been very different had management cared to reach us and compensate the inconvenience we experienced. Beware when using these people because they don't care. They just want your money and you'll never hear from them if anything goes wrong. We are still requesting a reimbursement of some kind. This was unacceptable and needs to be rectified immediately. We are still waiting on a call, you know how to reach us because we have reached out numerous times through the week and still haven't done with you.

Nice but uncomfortable
The home was nice but the beds were very uncomfortable. There were chairs wobbly and unstable and we were unable to use them.The stove kept cutting off while making meals.We contacted tha hotline with no response back.The ac wasnt cooling the bottom floor.I called and sent an email and received a response a day which was pointless by that time.

Furniture was in poor condition, red tide effects were much worse than expected
Most of us found the beds very uncomfortable. There were chairs and stools that were very wobbly/broken and unsafe. The pool and areas around the home were enjoyable with the exception of the red tide effects. We really weren't able to enjoy the beach because of the respirator distress it caused our whole party. The wifi was almost un-usable, we had to use mobile hot spots to run our business computers when needed. We all enjoyed the pool table and TV placements/channel availability were good. We will probably not stay in this area again unless we could do it at a different time of the year to avoid the red tide. I'm not one to usually leave a negative review, but I'm hoping this will help future guests. You can call me if you would like some more specific items, sincerely, Pat Quill

Last visit to Village of Crystal Beach.
Unit failed to accommodate our needs in so many ways. I would not recommend this place for families vacationing. Lack of parking, distance to beach, and so many more things like pool area unclean along with attitude of employees wanting to tow our vehicles. Overflow lot always full.

Just what I like 😊
We enjoyed our stay at the House of Kings. The house was absolutely beautiful, clean, and quite comfortable. Lovely wide stair case, beautiful wood floors, just a great home away from home with plenty of space for all.
The only issues were the living room sectional which needs to be replaced due to one feeling the springs when one sits, the kitchen stools were extremely wobbly, also the house needs an interior doormat for inclement weather, the floors were too beautiful to mess up after the rain. Lastly, inventory of kitchen items which we only used a few glasses and two bowls , however there wasn’t an even court of glasses nor dishes and we didn’t want to be held accountable for missing items. One other thing, those wanting to use the PlayStation weren’t able due to the main controller being missing, the rental company was informed. Only mentioning because the gaming system was listed as an amenity. Would we stay here again, DEFINITELY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beds where uncomfortable, and parking was horrible!!!
We were told we would have an appt in the overflow parking lot which is not true. The parking lot is forst come first serve and there is no way to know if they are guest as no one was using there parking pass. We were told by the property management employee to park in a parking lot next to the houses. He even pulled it up on Google maps to show us what lot to use. When we parked there our car was towed!! The tow company said they had told the employee two week prior to stop parking guest there or they would be towed. The property company should be responsible for our tow bill.

The Home was beautiful and comfortable!
We loved the home. Beware you have to buy your own toilet paper, paper towels and anything you need in the kitchen though. That's ok - but I was a little upset when I found out we had an allotment of ONE trash bag for a house filled with 11 people for a stay of 3 nights. A minimum of 3 trash bags at least would be fair. We also had an issue with some LOUD outside partying going on around us in several houses even though there is supposed to be no loud noise after 10ish. We were kept up all night. Otherwise it was very close to the pool. The pool was very cold and the hot tub was luke warm and very dirty. There is only wifi on the main floor - not the upper levels. I also recommend a new couch - the one that is in there has cushions falling through. That all being said - We actually did enjoy ourselves overall and would go back but with the knowledge of what to expect. They did bring me some trash bags after I complained and they did give us some free tickets to an attraction we wanted to do for my daughter's graduation. It was a very clean home!
