This was a great place to stay with such a large group! Lots of space to explore, ride bikes, and relax. My family and myself will definitely be staying here again! I appreciate Sam being very helpful and easy to reach.

We are giving a five-star review because, despite its flaws, it was perfect for us. We consider this a property with an identity crisis: Is it a luxury getaway, or a summer camp? Right now, it feels like it is trying to be both and not really doing either. With a $40k investment into the property, the owner could charge double or triple the current nightly rate and it would still be a bargain. Let's start with the bad, because there isn't much. The appliances other than the big ones - fridge, oven, laundry - are dated. Some of them feel like they came from a local antique shop. And the kitchen itself is small and gets crowded. I get the impression it isn't booked every weekend because, even though we could tell it had been cleaned before we arrived (vacuum marks still visible), everything was dusty. Not dirty, just had the appearance of not used. A balcony door didn't lock. Not a really a problem for how remote it is, but if you are keen on security, it can be a turn off. The electrical in the bathroom of the main house won't activate because the GFI circuit trips as soon as you reset it. Finally, a door punches a hole in the wall as soon as you open it because there isn't a stopper on it. That's a $2 fix, so I'm not sure why that isn't addressed. If you are expecting a luxury destination, the above list may disappoint. If you are looking for a fun time for a large, extended family, this place is perfect. The main house has a small kitchen and dining area, and spacious bar/seating area, and an enormous living room with plenty of seating, a fireplace, and a TV (the TV did not work when we were there). There is also a bathroom downstairs. The upstairs has three huge bedrooms, two with balconies, and two bathrooms. The biggest bedroom could easily be configured with sleeping for twenty, but has a single, king size bed in it. A second building houses an indoor pool and sauna, with an attached bathroom, a bedroom with a king bed, and a loft with multiple beds. Perfect for a family with small kids. The final building has a bathroom and a large bedroom with four large bunk beds that can sleep three people each. Attached to that is a garage filled with all kinds of fun activities like billiards, air hockey, foosball and arcade games. The property is even better. Huge picnic area with a propane grill. Small playground. Basketball court. Lots of space. I highly recommend staying before they commit to lux. High value now.

It was definitely not a Luxury Cabin. Old kitchen cabinets, heater In one bedroom did not work, no hot water in one bathroom, no propane for BBQ, no TV stations only Netflix &utube. Trampoline net was partially torn off, matel debree around trampoline and behind out buildings. We rented this property because of the indoor pool and which could not be heated. We enjoyed our family, 9 adults 3 babies, time together inspit of being disappointed with the property. We would have never rented it knowing so many things were old & in disrepair. The hot tub was heated but when we opened it the sides had dirt on them and dirt on the bottom. On the hiking trails behind the house we found a shoe, tent set stuff, a large bottle of water, look like someone was using the property, this made us uncomfortable! The owner was responsive but did not care about the propane, lack of fire wood , most of all the pool heater. We would like to be compensated for the disappointment & embarrassment we felt to our children, grandchildren etc.

This is our second stay here and it’s been great. Sam has gone above and beyond to ensure that our trip was a success and we are so thankful. The property is wonderful and spacious. The photos do well showing the different areas that the property offers from the game room, the pool, and all the sleeping areas. Great for a getaway and couldn’t recommend it more. Look no further for your next trip!

Stayed here a couple weeks ago, and it was a fantastic place to stay with such a large group! We had 14 people with plenty of beds leftover to accommodate even more if needed. Lots of space, and a great place to relax. Will definitely be staying here again!

We had an excellent time at the Cabin. We enjoyed the large heated pool, jacuzzi, and playroom. It’s a great place for large groups! Sam was very easy to reach. Overall great time !

Sam was very nice and helpful as a host to us. Our group wanted a place to getaway and enjoy just relaxing together for the weekend. It was also perfect for our dogs. The extra bed rolls/mats made it easy and fun to have everyone sleepover style like we were kids- very nostalgic!

This property has it all!

Secluded with plenty of options for heating and cooling in each room for all weather. It was below freezing while we were there and the place heated up quickly after checkin. We had the option to heat the indoor pool as well which was a huge plus. We had kids of all ages and a pet and everyone enjoyed the trip. Thanks Sam.

Sam's home was the perfect property to host our event. There was plenty of bed space for everyone and it all was so cozy. Sam's communication throughout the reservation and reservation process was stellar. If you are looking for a great compound to hold a large event, this is it! I look forward to hosting more events at the property in the future.

We absolutely loved this property! There was so much to do, and the house and property we in great condition. The host was super responsive to anything we needed. We would certainly stay here again!

I can not express how impressed I was with Sam's communication and service. For the last 14 months, when ever I messaged Sam a question, he always got back within an hour or so. That's unbelievable! The entertainment for the kids was amazing. The little ones loved the clean and well kept playhouse and trampoline. The teens loved the game-room. The pool was a big hit. The property itself is a little tired but hey, for the price, it was awesome. The only thing that couldn't be overlooked was the electrical. The owners of the property need to get the electrical outlets in the pool house and the main lodge up to code. The outlets in one of the lodge bedrooms wouldn't work due to the GFI outlets in the bathroom (I think). And it appears the sauna in the pool house isn't grounded. I know this because there's a sign on there that says not to go into the sauna with wet feet because it's not grounded. Uh....that's a bit weird. We just didn't use the sauna. Who would want to when it was 95 degrees out? haha! But overall, I'd go back in a heartbeat. And you've gotta LOVE SAM!!!

This lodge is great with all the beds you’ll need, nice hot tub, game room, etc. Sam was a fantastic host, very responsive and kind. I will definitely be back!

We booked this property for a youth group retreat and it worked out great. While the listing was a little confusing, the property includes three different spaces: the main cabin, the game room/garage that has the bunk bed room, and then the room connected to the pool house with the loft room. It worked out well because we were able to split guys and girls in different spaces so that worked in our favor, but important for other guests to note if that is not what they expect since the photos and description are a little misleading. Overall really enjoyed our stay!

We rented this space out for my parents 40th anniversary party. Coming from a large family it’s rare for us all to get together. We choose this place mainly because it had an indoor pool and we’re all water people. 2 hours prior to our arrival, we where informed that the pool was unusable. When we got there, they had refinished the walls or ceilings in the pool and contaminated the pool. The smell was emitting from the entire pool house and made one of the rooms in the house unusable for the first night. Next we found that the refrigerator in the kitchen had broken so we had to use the one in the garage. Not a huge deal but when you’re paying thousands of dollars for a place you expect things to work. The game room had a terrible smell. We ended up buying air fresheners to try and make it bearable. The garage doors don’t work so you can’t air it out that way. Lastly the second day there, we noticed water dripping from the bar area ceiling. We tracked the leak back to the bathroom sink above. The drain pipe had worn through and separated at the wall. They tried to blame this on the previous tenant but it appeared to be rusted through. We still had a nice enough time but everyone was very disappointed about the pool situation and all the kids had brought pool toys. I would expect an honest owner to offer a partial refund for all of our troubles. There was no such offer so I requested some money back. We received a small refund back (not even enough to cover the taxes for the 3 night rental). I did appreciate that they where responsive but they need to do some maintenance on this place before renting it out again. The manager said if I wanted tot stay there again they could get me a better deal next time but there’s no way I could get my family there again based on this years experience. I would stay clear until they’ve had a chance to fix some of there issues. The property has tons of potential.

The place was awesome, it was just a bit small for out groups of 42, but other than that everything was great, my family loved it and the pool is so awesome, the door for the pool need a bit of lubrication but everything is awesome.

How I wished the last couple of negative reviews were up before I booked my stay! When I had booked the reservation, all the reviews were 4 or 5 which had my friends and I excited for this trip. When we arrived, my friends and I were baffled at how poorly maintained and inaccurate this rental was. I don’t understand how this place could be “cleaned” as we wiped all the countertops/railings/door handles with chlorox wipes and they were disgustingly filthy! The listing said air conditioned but only 1 living room in all 3 buildings and rooms had a unit! When we complained to the owner, he said there were fans in the rooms. That’s not acceptable. We checked the temperatures in the rooms at night because of the small kids and it was 85 degrees. We couldn’t use the bunk beds in the game room because he has regular mattresses on the top bunks not bunk bed mattresses so the mattress is flush with the rail and the kids could fall right off the bed. 2 of the 4 families ended up leaving after 1 day because the conditions were too unbearable for them to handle. We paid extra to have the pool heated but he only heated it to 74 the first day which is too cold especially for young children. He was able to increase the heating for the second day but the first day for the pool was a loss. The password for the internet wasn’t correct so we had to ask him for a different password. The showers in all the bathrooms either only had scalding hot water or ice cold water so absolutely miserable to wash the kids. My friends and I wished we just went camping rather than stay at this crap hole. What a waste of money and a missed opportunity to make memories with friends. Please. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here!
