Overall adequate - however some major flaws
Front door had large glass with NO curtain; likewise the huge front window NO blinds; very lacking in security and privacy- very transitional neighborhood; the neighbor to the right complete eyesore with junk and Rubbermaid tubs ALL over the yard.
The property owner turned up unannounced on Friday evening. Just walked into the backyard where myself and friend were sitting at outdoor table. Unknown man with two women. TOTALLY inappropriate- he should plan his need to get in his garage around paying guests!!!! This is 100% unacceptable!!!!!!
Hot water is awesome - however - scalding hot water comes out of kitchen sink AND since there is no dishwasher you have to hand wash the dishes. Need to turn down the hot water.
House had super musty smell when arrived - since we pay a cleaning fee - it seems house should be clean smelling when we arrive.
Please put key on a keychain. Perhaps upgrading to push button lock and/or at least two keys.
Need to trim the trees over the driveway- they hang down and scrape the cars - very dangerous.
Better lighting in kitchen.

Everything was as expected. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only suggestion I would make is to provide information about how to turn on the shower. We couldn’t get it to divert from the tub to the shower. May be the directions were in the welcome book and we did not see them. Overall, nice place and I would stay there again.

Great value and location just a couple blocks from San Francisco Street heart of Flagstaff

Stayed for move-in weekend while we moved kid into NAU dorms. Nice little place that was very close to campus and walking distance to some great places to eat.
We spent several hours relaxing in the back yard and enjoying the weather. Kitchen is small but well equiped for what we needed.
Good/Fast communication with owner when we were not smart enough to figure out the shower (you have to pull down on the spout!).
One minor issue was the neighbors do have lots of chickens which were pretty loud each morning.
Overall, a lovely long weekend in Flagstaff.

Great place to stay if you have an event on the north side of the NAU campus. 10 min drive and there is a nice shopping center close by.
My son enjoyed the hammock and I enjoyed sitting on the front porch while he used it.
Overall a good place to stay. Some quirks that go with an old house, but they are to be expected.

Comfortable, clean home with lovely outdoor space that is centrally located. It had everything we needed and more, and we would definitely stay there again!

Good stay but needs some attention to cleaning and basic upkeep.

House needs some much TLC inside and out.
Close to restaurants. Neighborhood is a bit shady.

comfortable rustic house. Great location--close to down town, several good restaurants a few blocks away, quiet nights, very little traffic. You also get a friendly, helpful owner. This is very much worth it.

Great yard for snow play. Great downtown location.

Location location location. It's a 1/4 mile from downtown bars and restaurants. Wish it was dog friendly but their nails would probably scratch up the wood flooring.
Overall great stay, will come back

Very comfortable home and room to play games on the centralized dining room table. The bathroom is between the 2 bedrooms as a Jack and Jill set up. The only difficulties we had is with the latches to close the bedroom doors at night and the shower was difficult to figure out how to turn to the shower head. The kitchen was nicely appointed with cookware, plates, and utensils.

We made a quick getaway (2 adults and 3 and 4 year old) to Flagstaff. This house is super close to downtown and lots of other cool places. It's not the Ritz Carlton but it's not advertised or priced that way. Would definitely stay again.

A very old house but convenient for two

It was great, the house was very cute and just the right size for my sister and I. It offered all the amenities we needed. The area is a little sketchy but the street where the house is was just fine. Nice neighbors also. We did have a little issue with the lock box on the way out but got it to work with a few tries and a little patience. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, quaint and clean
If you don't mind a few warts on an almost 100 year old house, it's an awesome location and very welcoming. Great beds and bedding, awesome back yard and lots of space. We will come back.

The rental is as advertised - my summary is that it is grandma retro.
The bed we used was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The only downside is that it has little counter space. The kitchen was better stocked than other VRBO kitchens we have had.
The house does not have a/c, which is something to factor in if renting during the summer. Some of the windows open so we were able to cool the house overnight enough to keep it close to a comfortable temperature most of the day.
The location was within short walking distance of a shop and restaurant area. There were a fair number of homeless folks in the area, but they kept to themselves.

Being avid outdoorsmen, my brother and I were attending the Overland Expo at Fort Tuthill in Flagstaff. Didn't want a hotel room so we rented this cottage. Very clean and well kept. We were very happy with our stay. We were able to return each afternoon and relax, as this is a very quiet neighborhood, then walk to restaurants and breweries nearby. Totally enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be renting in the future.

The rental is located in a pretty rough neighborhood. The homes interior is very dated. The door latches for every door do not work. Stove burner does not work.
TV is not working properly. Volume go’s up and down on it’s own.
Overall we made it work but this home is overpriced for what’s there

The house was clean, spacious and warm! The latter important as it was still winter when we arrived. The house was centrally located in downtown which made getting around convenient and easy. We walked everywhere which was good as the whole town has paid parking requirements. The house was well furnished--we especially liked the travel brochures the owners left for us. And the washer and dryer! Thanks for your hospitality. We will visit you again the next time we are in Flagstaff.

Cute old house
We really loved this little house. It's old and full of original character while still being clean, warm, and comfortable. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. The proximity to NAU makes it a great home base for move-in weekends. And as a bonus, there is a nice view of the peaks out the back window.

It was a very unpleasant experience to stay in this house. First of all, the curtains are see-through so everyone outside can see what you are doing!! No privacy at all.
There was an old small RV exactly in front of the house and the see-through curtains made our family very uncomfortable. I am not sure how could people write good reviews for this house!
Rustic doesn’t mean unclean and badly maintained. We love vintage homes and rustic furniture. This house had nothing we could like or enjoy. We booked the house for 3 nights but checked out in 2 nights. It was a very bad experience for my family.
