About this house rental
Situated in Tahoe City, this charming house for £519 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Last minute booking discount! Book on a Thur for Fri arrival and get 40% off base rate! Send me an inquiry and I will adjust rates and send a revised quote. May 2023 UPDATE: New front and back decks, new hot tub, and new front ground level patio for relaxing after a hike or trail run or MTB ride on the trails just steps from the house. A bit more about our home - we are not a traditional rental, but rather a family home that we rent when we can't use the house ourselves. We have high end furnishings, chef's kitchen, nice linens, expensive AV/home theatre equipment and lots of toys in the garage. We are best for families with kids vs. groups of young adults looking to party. We do not offer ski lease or any long terms rentals longer than 2 weeks. The property was built in 1996 and fully renovated in 2008. The house has 4 bedrooms (cal king and queen upstairs and downstairs has a queen and bunks for 4). There are 3 full bathrooms - 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. In addition to the 2 bedrooms, the downstairs has a theatre room with bar, fridge, sink, foldout couch for two, fireplace 63' plasma TV, Playstation 4, DVD, AppleTV, surround sound. Also downstairs is 2 car garage with pool table, ping pong and dartboard. In addition to the 2 bedrooms, upstairs has a kitchen/great room that includes a dining table for 10, a fully stocked chef's kitchen with high end stainless appliances, family room with 52' LED TV, DVD, AppleTV, surround sound. Also upstairs are 2 decks - Front deck has 4 comfy adirondack style chairs. Rear deck offers 8 person hot tub, large gas BBQ and outdoor sectional sofa, chaise, and dining table for 8. The house is 2 blocks from Paige Meadows trailhead with cross country skiing, sledding, biking and hiking. This is a gorgeously decorated, very cozy home that you won't want to leave. We are members at the Tahoe Park Beach Association, which consists of three & one half acres of land with 850 feet of lake front footage, 2 piers, boat buoys, picnic facilities, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, lawn area, playground equipment, basketball court and open space. http://www.laketahoeparkassociation.com. You can reserve a picnic table/bbq by stopping by the admin office at the entrance. We especially like Table #4 if its available. Buy some tackle and use bacon as bait to catch Crawdads at the piers.

Had a great ski week. Easy checkin process. Great place for 2 families with kids. Spacious, house well equipped, nice fire places, hot tub, sleds, pool table, games...easy drive luckily to alpine meadows...we were set. Kids had a blast, parents relaxed. Hope to return.

We had a great stay. The house and outdoor living spaces were perfect for us. It gave our group plenty of room to spread out. The location on the West Shore was close to everything we wanted to do. The ability to use the Lake Tahoe Park, a private picnic area with docks and a beach was awesome. Every morning we went and jumped in the lake. We always met people down there that had been coming for years and were full of suggestions for things to do and places to go. The host was great and communicated with us the entire time. Highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed the house. Excellent proximity to Truckee river and everything along west shore of Tahoe, including Emerald Bay. We especially enjoyed the well appointed kitchen and the ample deck space in front and back. New hot tub, comfy beds, 2 big living areas with large tv's. Plenty of hiking nearby with spectacular views of Tahoe. Great for kids and families.

This home was absolutely gorgeous, even better than the pictures! Fully equipped with everything you need and so close to Tahoe City but you feel so far away! Quick drive to the lake and nearby ski resorts. The owner was wonderful to work with and so accommodating. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars

Plenty of space for our family of eight! House was cozy, well stocked, and had so much to offer for all ages. Great communication and check-in/out was a breeze! We had a memorable holiday stay.
We did have a few issues outside of anyone's control but Mike, the host, resolved them professionally and in a very timely manner. We were very impressed with his responsiveness and willingness to assist to get the issues rectified.

Mike (the host) was great throughout the whole process, always super helpful and responsive. The house itself is even better in person than in the pictures. The decor is spot on, with great taste throughout. The bedrooms and living area have the perfect size for a large group (6 adults and 3 kids in our case) and the two decks were perfect for having outdoor meals and relaxing in the hot tub. We will definitely keep coming back. Thanks, Mike!

My family loved this house. We brought our adult children with their families and all fit perfectly. The location was great, being close to Tahoe City. Having beach access was a huge perk. Michael was quick and friendly with responding to all our questions. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Really Nice Property
Rustic, but very nice home with a great kitchen and amenities. The kids loved their bunks and games, we enjoyed the audio video and games in garage! Michael was terrific and very responsive, couldn't ask for more!

Loved all the outside seating - we were there during some warmer than normal weather, so house got a bit warm, but there were some fans there to help move the air around and plenty of space on 2 decks for just hanging out and socializing. Great location to lake & Tahoe City for shopping. Great communications from Host Michael.

Great house and owner!
This was a new rental for us and it was perfect! Quiet neighborhood for relaxing on one of the two decks by the fire pit or in the hot tub and close to the lake with access to private association. The owner had great recommendations for food, trails and the perfect spot at the beach. We were able to reserve #4 picnic spot for two days and it was awesome. The lake association was friendly, super clean and entertained my teens with access to horseshoes, bocci, & basketball. The owner was easy to contact for questions. Beds were comfy and sheets were high end (a must for us!). Overall a great house and experience. Can’t wait to return!

Great Location
We really enjoyed staying in this cabin. It was located near a park with great amenities. The park had a tennis court, 4 pickle ball courts, a basketball court, and a playground. It is also close to a bike path. We enjoyed riding our bikes along the Truckee River. The cabin is just minutes away from Tahoe City with many great restaurants to choose from. We also liked that it was only a short drive to access the lake.

Absolutely Amazing!
We came up to Tahoe for 4 nights and stayed in the house. The house was absolutely perfect! The location was so beautiful. The house itself was SOOOO cool! Excellent floor plan, beautifully decorated, everything you need. Awesome hot tub on the deck, quality grill, rooms were perfect, several living areas to hang out, killer pool table in the garage. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking to stay in Lake Tahoe!

Fantastic Family Thanksgiving Getaway
Our family had a great time staying in this beautiful mountain house. The upper floor was great; the kitchen was well equipped and the layout was perfect for working in the kitchen and still being part of the living room conversation. The fireplace was warm and we enjoyed playing our music through the built in speakers.
The house was well maintained, clean and had that upscale yet rugged and mountain-like feel to it.
The hot tub was great to soak in after our many hikes around the area. The bedrooms were very comfortable and roomy. The kids loved the bunk beds downstairs.
The house has so many great features it is hard to list them all.
Mike was a pleasure to work with and made sure the house was warm and ready when we arrived.
We ate at the house mostly and enjoyed lots of hikes in the area which we discovered in the many trail books and guides that are available in the house.
Would definitely recommend!

Exceeded Expectations
We had the pleasure of finding this home last minute, as our planned vacation to Yosemite fell through due to the fires. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to this home, as the pictures do not do it enough justice. It's beautifully furnished, the details of the home are stunning, and the location is great! The home sits high up on a hill so you don't hear any road noise, yet it's just down the street (driving distance) to the Lake Tahoe Owners Association Park. Having passes to the park were such a great perk too! Private tables, lawn area, grills, playground, and pebble shores! STUNNING HOME and we hope to come back soon!
Notes:
The home was equipped with plenty of towels for our group of 8 adults and 2 children. There are 2 rooms downstairs, one with a queen bed and another with 4 twin beds (2 bunk beds). Also downstairs is a sofa sleeper (we couldn't find the pump to inflate the sleeper) and an airbed (does not stay inflated). Upstairs there are 2 more bedrooms, one with a King bed along with 2 soft mattresses that can be pulled out from under the bed, and the other room has a queen bed. You will need to bring cooking spray and other essentials, however, the kitchen is fully stocked otherwise with pots, pans, etc. The master bedrooms has a ceiling fan and a box fan in the closet, but no other rooms have fans. If you are coming during the summer months, I would highly suggest bringing additional fans to help cool down the upstairs.

Stunning Tahoe City House near Sunnyside
Our extended family-6 adults, 3 kids and a toddler, recently stayed at this beautiful home in Tahoe City. We loved the floor plan-large, well appointed kitchen open to family room with big screen TV, 2 decks, one including a large hot tub, high end BBQ and very comfortable outdoor furniture, 4 beautiful bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The kids (and my son!) loved the downstairs family room with the large TV and access to movies and play station. Additionally, having 2 of the bedrooms down there provided plenty of privacy. The location is perfect, near Sunnyside, and we enjoyed having access to the private lakefront beach within a short drive. There are also trails for hiking/mountain biking near the house. Michael, the owner, is very gracious and easy to contact. We had a fabulous and memorable family vacation and hope to return in the near future.

Perfect Tahoe Getaway!
We slid in between epic snow storms to this incredible house in Tahoe City. Extremely convenient to Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, Homewood and Northstar, it is a skier's paradise. The house is an architectural wonder, with reclaimed barn beams and exquisite use of masonry inside and out. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms provided privacy for all. The kitchen, surrounded by a bar and the great room round out the space (oh, I forgot to mention the downstairs den). Two big screen, surround sound TVs and a hot tub on the deck, as well as a ping pong table/pool table provided all the entertainment one could want. Extremely private and easy to get to. We can't wait to come back again!!
