Welcome to our Family Cabin! A Northern Michigan Cabin straight out of a movie! Located on 10 acres & surrounded by 2 lakes. With an All-Sports lake on one side, a fishing lake on the other, and a private channel, you will immediately feel peaceful seclusion. Inside boasts walls and high ceilings wrapped in knotty pine, brick, and wood beams. Classic cabin decor with inviting furniture will keep the whole family cozy and comfortable all year long! If you are looking for a place to party all night, please do not book*** Welcome to Two Lakes Lodge! While we want you to enjoy all that the cabin, lakes, and land has to offer, we ask that you treat it like your own and use it with respect. READ THE WELCOME BOOK WHEN YOU ARRIVE. This will have information on all the workings of the cabin, such as how to use the fireplace, grills, boats, etc. PUT DOWN YOUR PHONE!!! You are in the heart of the magnificent Manistee National Forrest and on two lakes, time to or sun there so much to do. Reference the Welcome Book you’ve already read ;) NO SMOKING INSIDE please keep all smoking outside and properly dispose of cigarette butts DON’T USE THE FIREPLACE THE BEFORE DEPARTURE please put out any fires a few hours before departing for the weekend. CLEAN UP MESSES we know accidents happens, please clean up spills and messes quickly and with provided cleaning supplies, do not let them sit. This will ensure a clean environment for all for years to come! CLEAR LINENS AND TOWELS please remove all used sheets and towels and place in laundry room CLEAN AND PUT AWAY DISHES wash and put away dishes, cups, silverware or anything else used in the kitchen back where you found them TRASH ***IMPORTANT*** All trash MUST be in bags. Put all trash in bags and in the bin in driveway at top of the hill, (in the winter bins are back at Casey Ln & 12mile rd). Put weight on top of lid to prevent animals from rummaging. PET WASTE pets are welcomed as they’ll possibly have more fun than you! However, we ask that PICK UP WASTE after you pet. NO WET DOGS INSIDE! there is a hose by the front door, please rinse and dry your pet before letting them back inside. We fully expect dogs to run and play in the water and woods, but please ensure they are clean and dry before coming back inside to keep and clean house for all to enjoy! CATCH & RELEASE As of Jan 1st, 2020 Midget Lake will be a “Catch and Release” lake for all fish except Bass in order to restock the lake and keep the habit natural for both air and water animals. Neighbors will call the DNR on anyone violating the rules.

Loved every minute of it!!
Our group ended up being smaller than planned with only 8 adults, 1 8yo, 1 infant and an old dog, but even if everyone were able to come, we still would have had plenty of room.
Although we had cold and rainy weather 3 out of 5 days, we were still able to enjoy all the amenities! We loved fishing off the dock & and the 2 john boats were great to have! Midget Lake was something like a Bob Ross painting, just beautiful!!! We loved having the bar in the house, and all the games & cards & poker chips you could ever need. The Dublin General store was only like a 4min drive away & fully stocked with everything you could possibly need… we loved that store enough to get a couple souvenir shirts!! We had a fire going in the pit for 3 days straight & most of the family found themselves gathered around the fire….the beds were comfy…the kitchen had pretty much everything you would need to cook any meal, large or small. This was a family getaway that made some great memories ☺️ and as always, it went by way too fast!!!

This was our groups second year staying at Twin Lakes Lodge. The layout of the lodge is idea for housing large groups with plenty of space for everyone.
Great location and a first class lodge..... we hope to be back again next year.

My family has been looking for a place to spend a week every year up north, on a lake.
It’s hard to agree on one place and have everyone be happy.
This was the first place we’ve stayed at where everyone was happy.
It was big enough, had all of the amenities, and the location was almost perfect.
Let me just mention some of the things that surprised me, good and bad.
-Sand lake is a little small.
-But the fishing is awesome. Bass all day. We also caught Crappie, blue gill, and sunfish.
-the canal does not connect the 2 lakes and you have to paddle through the narrow canal and through some very shallow areas to get to midget lake.
-once you get to midget lake, you can use the trolling motor that is provided. Great fishing. Basically the same as Sand Lake.
-the kitchen is currently a little rustic. The drawers, counters , and cabinets are a little rough.
-but you can see the homeowners are slowly making improvements. Huge stainless steel sink, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, fancy coffee pot.
-the neighborhood was SO peaceful. Most of the week, it felt like we had the lake to ourselves. On the weekend it got a little busier.
-it was very clean. No cobwebs, no dust.
My last words. Unfortunately, the price has gone up for next year, so we won’t be able to afford to come back. It was already at the top end of our budget.
BUT, rightfully so. This house is great. The longer I stayed, the more I loved it. If you can afford it,book it.

Beautiful, fully furnished lakefront home with plenty of space for 20 people! Quiet neighborhood! Kayaks and row boats to use plus a dock if you bring your own boat or jet skis! Definitely will book again!

We enjoyed our stay. Thought just 2 bathrooms might be a problem, but didn't seem to be an issue. The top bunks should have higher safety railings-a grandchild rolled off one night, thankfully not seriously hurt! It was difficult keeping up with ice cubes needed-couldn't get bar maker to work efficiently. We loved the beach front, fishing, swimming, boating, grills, campfires, inside Lodge and decking accommodated our large family very well. Will be back:)

This is amazing place to take family and friends. Beautiful, quite, and peaceful location. Tons local things to do and see, or just hang out here on the water. I look forward to staying here again.

13 family members had a great 5 days here. Plenty to do for all ages. Cabin was stocked very well with everything you would ever need.

We had a wonderful time staying at Two Lakes Lodge in Irons, MI. We were a group of 23, 9 adults and 14 children. Before arriving we were a bit concerned that although there were enough beds to sleep in, we might be very cramped because the lodge itself is only 2500 sq Ft. But the layout is well designed and quite efficient so we never felt crowded.
The description of the lodge was accurate. The kitchen had every kind of tool or pot or pan we could have needed for a week stay. Having a washer and dryer available was great with so many people. We loved the deck and spent most evenings around the fire pit. The kids spent hours swimming, fishing and rowing around on the kayaks, paddle boat and row boats. The weather wasn’t the best the last couple of days of our stay but we still had fun playing games and fellowshipping with each other. We would definitely return to this VRBO.

Campfire on the lakeshore very memorable; pleased to find so many beds at a reasonable cost; 20 people in the house; pedal boat and kayaks were put to good use by all; one member fell going up the high deck steps; screen door needs fixing; had trouble locking up with code at checkout

This was the perfect property for our family getaway. The beach was great for the kids, with beautiful clear water! The host was great, and very responsive. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place for you!

This was a wonderful page to stay with tons of amenities! Thankfully the house has tons of activities and games since we came to fish then12 inches of snow dropped. I can't wait to experience next time in better weather the beach area is beautiful and it's so well equipped here! The owners were extremely responsive with any questions I had!

This rental was perfect for our needs. Very spacious to hold 12 adults. It was clean and a beautiful location. The owner was super responsive and helpful. We do wish the wifi was better, we had some challenges steaming sometimes. Other than that, it was great!

This property was great for our large group. The bedrooms, living space and kitchen were large enough for us to feel comfortable. The view of the lake from the deck was beautiful. It felt secluded and quiet. We stayed for the weekend and rode Caberfae Peaks. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great time celebrating Christmas with our kids, grandkids, and great granddaughter. Enough room for everyone, comfy beds and furniture. We played games and talked the night away. Beautiful setting, record snowfall made the hill to the cabin tough to get back up. Otherwise a great time.

Awesome place to relax and unwind. Never felt cramped with a group. Had fun doing a scavenger hunt, playing games, doing puzzle, and enjoying bonfires. Nice concept of leaving your extra condiments and bar items! It was nice to not be on the go and reconnect with extended family.

Our group loved our time at Twin Lakes Lodge. The Lodge had a good layout for our group inside and the large outside deck gave us additional gathering space.
We enjoyed being located next to the lake.
We look forward to coming back for another trip!

Property was as described. We were 17 family members…10 adults and 7 kids ranging from 1 to 7. The beach provided great entertainment for a week. the bunk room worked wonderfully

Outside spaces were great! With as many families that we had, 5, parking is definitely an issue. Bunk beds are over used, the loft bunk room is sufficient. Mattresses on most beds are very tired, very little storage space in most rooms, any closets or shelves were taken up by clutter and extra blankets galore. No air conditioning is a definite issue in 90 degree weather with the ground floor bedrooms having only one tiny window. A lot of old food left in the refrigerator, old food in the pantry shelves. Deck space and grilling space are nice. Kitchen is tired. Both bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Great room is only common area and is quite congested on rainy days with children. The TV remote does not work. Had to tape it to get it to work. Too much owner stuff in the cabin. Laundry area is very cluttered, games and puzzles could stand to be sorted thru. Was a good week but probably would not rent here again.

Fantastic! Location can’t be beat! Steps from a sandy beach, clean lake and amazing view. The home was laid out perfectly. Large great room, roomy kitchen, picnic tables on the deck and lots of sleeping rooms. Host communicated well before and during our stay. Will definitely consider returning!

We arrived and really enjoyed the deck and view of the lake. The house was very spacious so when the weather was bad the roomy area allowed for games in one area, puzzle table in the other and a living room to just visit. Everyone had their own space for sleeping. Loved the outdoor grill area, fire pit, and patio. We already booked for next year.

Excellent Cabin and Location Highly Recommend
Our large group enjoyed the week we stayed at the cabin. It is very much as advertised. The beach is wonderful and just steps away from the large deck with NO stairs or large incline to the water. The group ranged in age from 2-80 years and everyone had a great time. The all sports Sand Lake was great for tubing and boating with a convenient boat ramp at the Sand Lake Recreation area. Midget Lake was fantastic for the kayakers in the group. Both lakes were exceptionally clear.
We've rented homes all over the country for various vacations and the general consensus was this was one of the best. Thanks for sharing our property with us.

Another good family gathering
As last year, we had a wonderful stay at Two Lakes Lodge. It works so well for our group of 10 adults and 9 kids. Well-equipped in all ways, though a few more forks would have been welcome... we eat alot.

Family trip
Great place to stay with large family. My brother and sister and our families decided to get together for a summer trip with our parents, kids, and grandkids. This place was a great fishing , swimming and just over all being together. Plenty of beds for everyone. And everything you need to just spend time together

Such a beautiful property and what an incredible family vacation!! We sat on the porch and looked at the lake for hours!! The kids and dogs loved it as well! Perfect little beach and fire pit and the weather was perfect!! We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect Weekend
The house was awesome for our group. Our intention was to ride all weekend but the weather didn't cooperate. Luckily the house had lots of room and we hung out there instead. We loved the pay it forward concept and the bar area and game table was the perfect entertainment for us. We will definitely be back.

We had a great up-north weekend nestled in the woods on beautiful Sand Lake. The house was beautiful and well equipped with everything you could need. The owner was super was easy to reach, but we never had any issues. The only thing that went wrong was the fact that I didn't read (my bad) the welcome book/instructions that was well thought out and covered any questions one would have. Thank you for a memorable week. We would love to stay there again!
