The Siesta Key Home was perfect to enter the New Year with my family. The residence consisted of 3 stories, to give everyone maximum personal space. The dock had the best sunset view and space to fish with the whole family. The whole family highly enjoyed the short travel to the Siesta Key beach with the biggest drum circle any of us have seen along with the local restaurants and bars. Our trip ended with a visit to the Ringling Circus
Museum which was a perfect end to our tropical vacation. Thank you for providing the serenity of your beautiful home.

We stayed for 5 nights, and we were very comfortable. We had a issue with one of the showers (it would not turn on), and it was fixed the next morning. A little close to the road, but overall it was quiet. No beach, but the deck on the water was very nice. Bonus, next door there's a Bald Eagle nest! It was very cool seeing them every day. We named them George and Barbara. Overall everyone was happy, even the 2 teenage girls were happy being there, and we would rent this place again!

Our stay here was perfect! First off, the house is in a perfect location, close enough to the beach but fair enough away from all the traffic. The rooms are nice sized where you don’t feel cramped when you’re in them. Hands down the best part was the back deck, those sunsets were absolutely stunning! Karen was very quick to reply to messages and was really nice! We had such a great time here that our family is already planning our next trip there!

The property was great and so was the owner. I highly recommend!!!

Lots of nice features to make a stay enjoyable. The house is comfortable, a bit worn, lacking a few kitchen items, but overall it’s very do-able. It is fairly close to the street so there is some traffic noise but it dies down at night. For sure the highlight is sitting on the deck out back of the houses and watching the sun set.

After no response from management which says a lot for anyone looking to book.
This definitely did not meet our standards on cleanliness or aging. Everything is very old and outdated. Not to mention some very unsafe loose outside stairs. And horrible musty smell! Here is a list of our complaints.
1. No lighting at the front door. Only when you got right at the door did an automatic light come on. It’s very dark at night and would be nice if we could leave a light in outside for safety.
2. Picture of the view on the web is deceiving. There is absolutely no view of water from any window. You must walk past another home and onto their dock at o see the water.
3. None of the sliding doors locked.
4. The steps on the outside deck were loose and dangerous. very sketchy walking down them.
5. The TV never worked and no instructions were left
6. The screen porch could have been wiped down like the chairs and upper and lower baseboards years of dirt there.
7. The mother in law room had cleaning stuff a dirty spong and an old tube of toothpaste plus it was missing several blinds on the sliding door and I had to put a board up against the door

We enjoyed our stay at Siesta Key the house is very spacious and well equipped for all our needs. I only gave it a 3 for location because I would have liked to have been closer to the beaches. The owner was readily available and made check in and check out a breeze. The house is definitely old Florida feel, could use a little updating and TLC. But fine for what we needed.

The pictures don’t do any justice. I was under the assumption that the waterfront patio was right outside the door, and it wasn’t.
Upon arrival there were towels in the washer/dryer from previous stay.
In all honesty, the cleanliness of the house just wasn’t up to our standards. Additional cleaning products were bought once inside the rent.
Overall, it was great. My family truly enjoyed themselves.

Several adult siblings and spouses gathered to attend a wedding. The place was perfect for our event. The 3 1/2 baths allowed us all to get ready easily and the home and location allowed us a stress-free to prepare for the black tie wedding at the Ritz and relax before and after. Karen was excellent in communicating with us and we all had an excellent experience.

Not at all what we expected
This was a dirty, run-down property. The exterior door(s) did not close/lock properly (unsafe), windows did not open in most bedrooms, stained carpets, broken blinds, broken shelf in fridge, etc. The owner was also dishonest. (I had specifically asked if the windows opened and was told they did.).
The lead photo is also misleading. This house has no views of water, but instead is on a very noisy road (Higel Ave) with traffic past 1AM, which reached inside bedrooms even with windows shut. Cars and motorcycles roared until after 1AM on Saturday night. Property manager was sympathetic to our complaints but could do nothing about a discount, and said the owner "was a very private person" and would not speak to us.
VRBO was totally unresponsive when I filed a complaint. After two hours on the phone, they told us to go find another place. That was not possible on Sat. at 9pm on Siesta Key.

I thought, by the photos, we had a view of the gulf. You actually have to walk past a small home and a large home to see the water. The sliding glass door in the living room doesn’t lock. So we felt a little uncomfortable not being able to lock up the house before bed. The home needs some upgrading. Overall we had a very nice time just had to get past our expectations.

We enjoyed our stay at the house which was spacious and the property manager was very responsive. The only negatives would be that the location is on a busy road which I was not expecting and house does not have a water view. Otherwise great.

There was a little glitch at the begining of my stay but Karen is excellent and considering that my stay was 2 weeks after hurricain Ian, it was awesome. I celebrated my 60th birthday at this property and do not regret it one bit. That view is spectacular. Oh, and there is a Bald Eagle nested in a tree in the yard...Cherry on top of it all. If i could post a pic I would to show you. Couldnt ask for a better 60th birthday!

The house was perfect for our trip! We loved being able to hang out on the dock and take a dip in the water. Karen was very prompt with responding and easy to work with. Even better than the photos!

Great Location/Spacious House/Wonderful Host
Great Location. Close to everything. Spacious House. Equipped with everything you need. Wish it had more than one TV though. Karen, The Host is very sweet, friendly & helpful. The backyard view is breathtaking. We loved snorkeling in the backyard. We had the privilege of seeing Manatees & Dolphins. Great vacation home.

Very accommodating home
The home was very clean and truly sleeps 8. The short walk to the Gulf-side deck (on the property) was well worth it. A Manatee even joined my son's swim. Siesta Key beach was a short drive as were the restaurants and stores (less than a mile).
The upper screened-in deck was great for early morning coffee and late evening wine.
Karen, the property manager, was very responsive and always willing to help.
The only recommendation we would make is that the kitchen could have used more cooking utensils (not enough pots and pans).

Bring your binoculars, as the view from the deck is outstanding! Our family enjoyed lovely sunsets and the view across to Lido Key, complete with watching boats come and go in the channel, can't be beat. Although the rental home itself is not on the water, it's totally worth it to just walk a short distance to the deck. Enjoyed going down the stairs at the deck to swim in the water. Bring water shoes as it's nice to just "stand there" and relax!
Karen is a fabulous host and was very responsive to our questions/requests.
The house was VERY clean. We would return!

We got our monies worth.
There were some minor maintenance issues, like the garbage dispoal not working. Also, we needed to wash some of the bedding before use.

Had a wonderful experience at this house on Siesta Key. Karen, the Property Manager responded immediately to our every request. Had early restaurant dinners so we could take advantage of the stunning sunsets on the deck. Comfortable house. Perfect Location.

Overall a very pleasant experience. Location was great, short walk to the water and close to town. Accommodations were as expected after reading reviews and would come back.

Spacious and well appointed with great hosts
The house has a great layout and is well equipped with everything we needed. Lots of places to hang out and the deck by the water was great.
Furniture at the house was comfortable and plenty of seating.
Having use of the bikes was great.
Could definitely use some new beach chairs… The ones at the house were very rusty. But there were plenty of beach towels.
The house itself is a bit dated with older carpets and was a little musty… but The temperature was good enough to leave windows open for fresh air.
Both the owner and host were excellent! Very responsive, friendly, and unobtrusive.
Enjoyable stay. .

Great location
It was a typical rental for down here. 2 of the rooms have single beds, we just brought blow up beds.
A huge bonus was watching the eagles nesting in the neighbors yard.
The deck on the owners side was perfect for beautiful sunsets.
Karen and her husband were great hosts with good tips!

The location of the property is fantastic.. The house for rent is right off the main road that leads into downtown Siesta Key. There is a small 1 story home where Ka’Ren lives & a very large house in between the rental home and the water. The owners of the big house where not around. After about an 75 yard walk, you do at least have full access to the private deck on the main picture which is an incredible view & has some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. The house is definitely old and could use some TLC & had sort of a musty smell. The couches & chairs in the living area are very comfortable & there is a nice TV. The bamboo/palm trees in the yard are really cool, but by no means is the yard fenced in, which when I read the description said that there was a fenced in yard. The description also originally said waterfront which really isn’t true as well. Karen & the neighbors were very nice and there a Bald Eagle nest with 3 eagles in a tree next door…very cool. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but I was just expecting something a little different. I would come back.
