The staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door

The room was small, located at the top of a flight of steps. It was about what I would expect for the price.
The check-in process was confusing and frustrating. The owners evidently have several converted buildings scattered through the neighborhood, each named a different color. I booked into Grn (Green) but was instructed to check in at Blu (Blue), half a block down the street. However the entrance to Blu was locked and the doorbell didn't work, which I discovered only after ringing it for fifteen minutes, standing on the steps with my luggage. I finally walked over to Grn with my stuff, but the door was locked there, so I carried my luggage back to Blu and pressed the faulty doorbell until, in frustration, I banged on the door. The folks in the office, just a few steps away opened the door. They told me that I was actually going to stay in a third location, two blocks up the street, called Prpl (Purple) but that I had to go to fourth location near to Prpl called Euro Hotel, to get my key. The whole process took a half an hour, visiting four locations to get my key.

For a London Hotel in that category it is quite okay. The Bathrooms are refurbished and worked well (but been quite small). The management tries to improve the place.
To much light got through the doors and anyone's movements could be heard. But that is typicall for these kind of Buildings.

The location
Extremely rude receptionist. One day we were not able to enter our room with the provided card and he had to come with the toolbox to fix it and was cursing all along. Also we wanted to change the room as it was facing the main road and extremely loud during the night but the mobile number shown here on booking.com doesn’t lead anywhere, we weren’t able to contact anyone.
And don’t get mislead by the nice breakfast photo on the website - there is NO BREAKFAST provided.

tv could do with being lower as you can’t see the picture when in bed, and walls could do with a paint

I liked the location but for a family I don’t recommend this place.
I don’t recommend any family to stay here. They give you the rooms with minimum heigh and when you open the window if you don’t duck down you can hit your head. It’s not safe, and it’s not a place where I’d recommend to family. I also advised it’s not very comfy beds. The owner should invest in this place. The paint is not neat.

the only good thing was the tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom
where do I start…. the toilet was filthy, the tv only had two channels that worked even after retuning, the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, the shower had several bugs walking around. good job we wasn’t in the room much and only stayed one night. they tried giving me a single room when I paid for a double

room smelled like stale smoke, opened the toilet door and the smell of sewage was awful. Blood stains on the curtains. shower was like a dribbling watering can. Room next door full of contractors drinking beer to the early hours! Terrible experience.

The mattress was very good and the bed comfortable.
- The fire alarm went off at 6am, disrupting my sleep, and there was no staff at the hotel to turn it off. I had to call the fire brigade, who found the whole fire alarm system to be faulty and outdated. The hotel is run jointly with its sister hotel, Comfotel BLU, three doors up the road (and much better - I have stayed there before), and that hotel is staffed while Comfotel GRN is not.
- The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work, so there was smell and damp after use and all the metal appliances were rusty.
- Toilet paper was not replaced when run out, so I had to go three doors up the road to beg for some.
- The TV did not work.
- I would not stay here again.

the location is only good point
I expected bare minimum, but still was disappointed. I was in "cellar" room with view to laundry bags. Wifi did not reach my room, shower door was broken and kept opening, to make a tea I had to connect kettle to a bathroom socket as there was not socket next to the table where the kettle was displayed, plus had to fill it from shower as the sink was too shallow. Walls like paper, could hear all the conversations from next-doors. and all of that for over 100 EUR per night. what a joke

The hotel is fantastic: it is close to the public transport and to a lot of places where you can eat.
The room is not enormous but it is really cozy and comfortable! Everything you need is provided by the staff.. which is amazing!
They are ready to answer to all the question that you may have and to support you throughout your journey!
It is more than what you can expect!
