We had such a delightful stay at Hollis House and it exceeded all expectations. The location is perfect. The interior was very cute and inviting. We each had a restful night's sleep to the soothing sound of waves. The property management team was exceptional, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. This beach house is a true gem, providing a perfect combination of homey beach cottage and tranquility for an unforgettable getaway. I left with cherished memories and a longing to return! Highly recommended!

The location was great. We were a short walking distance from the beach.
The house was okay. The kitchen was spacious and so was the living room. The bedrooms were an acceptable size. However, the bathroom was tiny, it didn't have an exhaust fan, and the shower head and shower curtain were dirty and disgusting. Also, the shower was very small and dark.
The house had an odor and the electrical looked outdated. TV and Roku worked fine. But everything was dated and needed a lot of TLC. The pictures definitely did not accurately represent the house.
We will not be staying there again.

The house was good. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had the things you needed. The porch was nice, but it was a very busy corner with traffic and noise.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the management of the property. We had booked the property early and had received a confirmation e-mail that stated we were "Paid in Full". It was at this time, iTrip offered us the chance to add an additional day for a reduced amount. I inquired about the offer, to find out what it would cost, and then found a hefty CHARGE on my credit card account WITHOUT my consent. The management claimed it was an "oversight" and would gladly refund the money charged. However, not all the money was returned. I called them to talk to someone directly, instead of e-mail. The lady I spoke with claimed it was the "pet fee" that was not returned. Which I found confusing, because I was already "Paid in Full" prior to this. What I found out, the company used this "change" in my original agreement as an excuse to charge a larger pet fee. iTrip had increased the rate $100 for the pet fee, AFTER I had booked the house. She never told me that, but when I researched it, I realized what they had done. She claimed, we were given a "discount" before. I knew this was not the case, because of the charges to my account and I was "Paid in Full". Had they been upfront from the beginning or honored the "Paid in Full", it would have been a different outcome. I feel they were dishonest and secretive.

We stayed a week at Hollis House and had an overall good time, but there were a few issues with the lack of cleaning and updates that are needed.
We arrived to find that the floors were dirty and were definitely not mopped before our arrival. There was also a pile of hair near the wall from the previous tenants. We had to clean the floor ourselves since our son has allergies that immediately started to flare up. There was a layer of dark soot when we cleaned the floors.
After that, we had a good time at the beach, which was not a long walk at all. The house is also within walking distance of many places around Carolina Beach.
The kitchen was well-stocked to help when we stayed in and cooked. The front porch was a nice area to relax and is nice and big. Having a washer and dryer is a nice plus. And our two small dogs enjoyed their stay and walks.
The master bed is very firm, which became uncomfortable at times for our backs. At one point, the breaker tripped in the kitchen when the microwave and coffee machine were active at the same time.

This was our first time to the area and we adored this cute beach cottage! We have stayed at many rentals over the years and this one is definitely at the top of our list. We love the homey feel, yet still clean and well stocked. We loved having an entire home to ourselves and being within walking distance to the ocean. Thank you for a great stay!

We absolutely loved Hollis House. This property did not disappoint at all. It was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen had everything we needed cooking and nights in. We loved that towels and linens are provided. Great location, short walk to everything you want to do and see during a short weekend trip. We also had great communication with iTrip, who answered all of our questions and gave us tons of recommendations for the area. Overall, 5 stars!

We had a great stay here at Hollis House. We loved the location and hearing the ocean waves from the deck. Space was very clean! The property had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The two bedroom house was the perfect size for us and our lab. A fantastic Italian restaurant/pizzaria just across the street too along with several other options. While we did not cook, the kitchen was ample sized and stocked. I actually painted many watercolors while there of various views around town. My only complaint was the bedrooms need better shade/blinds to block the incoming very bright light. The existing blinds left huge gaps at the side, maybe 4 or 5 inches. These could be easily replaced with something that fits better.

Surface areas were clean, but deep cleaning needed. Lots of stains on furniture and shockingly, yellow stains on the mattress protectors. Roaches, dead and very much alive. Parking is easy but pulling out of the driveway was a challenge with bushes in the way. Very disappointed overall.

Booked this place last minute due to our other place being canceled by the host. Super easy check in process. House was cute, just as pictured. There were a few blinds messed up in two rooms. Had an issue and the property manager came right out and got us back up and running. Easy walk to the beach. Would stay here again!! Really loved that they accepted dogs. Loved the open floor plan and so many pots/pans, cooking utensils. Will be back, soon!!

The interior was extremely clean which was the best part. I'm sure that certain things were much nicer in the beginning of the season but were worn out by the time we vacationed..like the window blinds and barbecue grill. The bed frame was barely hanging on. The yard needs some maintenance . Just can't justify the cost with the overall appearance but do love that it was very clean.

We had a fabulous time at Hollis House. We celebrated my daughter’s 10th birthday with a few of her friends. The house was super clean, and close to everything! It was so nice to be able to walk most places. The beach access was super close as well. The girls all enjoyed staying in one room with the 2 beds. Thanks for a great weekend away!

This was an amazing beach house to vacation in with kids. The front porch is a great place to gather and share fun times. All appliances worked as expected (kitchen as well as washer and dryer). Plenty of water hoses to rinse off from after beach trips. Rinsing off the salt from chairs and letting them dry after beach trips saves beach chairs from rusting quickly. The chairs are rusting out but still have some more use left in them. A broom and dust pan was available to sweep out sand in the house daily. Kitchen is stocked with anything you would need, including a pizza cuter and pizza pan. House was abundantly stocked with hand soap, bath towels and hand towels. Close proximity of neighboring vacationers so, blinds were very helpful. Constant communication with the itrip family business was comforting. They kept asking if I was enjoying my trip and if I needed anything. Communication was superb! We took care of their property as they took care of us. Yard work was done, house was very clean upon arrival and we did daily up keep to keep things tidy and the floors swept. Front porch can get sandy and the rug as well. Less tracking sand into the house with the many little feet we had here just by cleaning of the porch 1 time during the week. An occasional sweep or spray down makes the porch look and feel fresh. Overall, the Hollis House is an amazing summer time beach house to stay in. The itrip family make their guest feel like royalty! Thank you itrip for your hospitality, as it was comforting for a mom vacationing with 3 kids knowing I had someone to call, should something happen or go wrong with the home.

Our family enjoyed our trip. Communication with management was seemless. The property location was excellent; close to beach access, walking park, and local restaurants. Oh, and the large front porch was a bonus! Our only regret was not being able to plan a day trip to Baldhead. This will remain on our bucket list. All in all, it was a great family trip with our pooch.

Hi, We really relaxed in this basic little beach house. It was very clean and tidy. It was just a short walk from the house to the beach and we also enjoyed many walks in the neighborhood just east of the house. We would definitely stay again.

I knew the property wasn’t going to be high end, but I didn’t anticipate the reality was going to be far worse than the photos. We waited too late in the season & this was the only place that accepted dogs. The photos gave the illusion of some view of the beach. NOT EVEN A SLIVER could be seen. But that wasn’t the problem. We can handle no ocean view. It was a very short walk to the beach however. The ceilings were peeling away, the walls were cracked and buckling, the faux wood flooring had gaps in the seams, the floors weren’t level, the melamine kitchen cabinets were peeling, the master bed frame wasn’t even completely attached and one of the master pillows had a 5-6 inch rip in it with stuffing falling out of it. The weeds overran the property. It looked like a dilapidated shack from the outside & the inside affirmed it. It was awful. We made the best of it because we were together and at the beach.

The Hollis House was great accommodations for my family including our dog. It was close in proximity to restaurants, the boardwalk, and the public beach access. The iTrip family was very responsive to the small issues we experienced throughout our trip. We will definitely will return to Carolina Beach. The island was very welcoming, relaxing and beautiful!!!! Thank you iTrip!!

We three essential workers traveled to Hollis House for a much needed break during Covid times. This house gave us a much needed mid week break to decompress over such stressful days. The porch is SO NICE!____Pros:____ 5-7 minute walk from the beach on a quiet road__ Good AC__ Comfortable Beds__ Well stocked kitchen with pans, toaster, microwave utensils (would've been nice to have basics like sugar and pepper but they weren't promised so that's ok)__ Plenty of room to park. The city is charging for parking so leaving our cars and walking or biking was a great option__ Great communication from rental people__ less than a mile to Britt's Donuts and Crush
