Everything. Especially the exceptionally friendly staff. I can’t say enough good things about the people who work in this hotel. This is an elegant, but not grandiose hotel tucked away in a quiet corner in the very heart of Vienna.
I can’t think of a single critical thing to say. It’s certainly not inexpensive and I don’t usually stay at hotels in this price range, but my stay was worth every penny.

Danke!!!

Super lokalizacja i klimat starego Wiednia. Bardzo czysto. Dwa kroki do dużego miejskiego parkingu.

Super convenient location, 100 meters from St Stephen's cathedral. Great staff, always ready to help and make your life easier. Rooms are also quite well furnished.
They got me a room in the new refurbished area that I understand is not as nice as the historic area.

The location is very central to the centre of Vienna. Spacious room and comfortable Bed's.
The Air conditioner was far too small for the room. The breakfast was not up to my expectation, Rolls were not fresh, Bacon and Eggs not hot. Also the variety of Breakfast items was very limited. The price charged for the room is excessive and in no way reflects the quality of the rooms or the service. Very disappointing.

Single room is perfect for my situation. The location is awesome, great price performance for the location and the size /cleanliness of the room. The official photos shows some bright color, but will nicely done in person. The breakfast was great.

perfect city centre location yet tranquil. The bar courtyard is lovely.
No negatives… well apart from the beep city marathon which nearly cost us our flight but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault!

On my first travel alone the security and amability felt was heart comforting.
The room was excellent, very big, perhaps a bit dark but I liked it.
Near the Dom you could not be in a better place to visit the inner city either on your own or in company.
A very calm street. I slept with one window open!
Breakfast was good too and also on a smooth way.
When leaving I was stressed because there was a problem with my flight... so... I forgot the pin code of my card... tried and tried and they solved the problem with a very big smile. ( Now I know my pin code again... - sorry for this...)
If ever, and I hope so, I go back to Vienna I will certainly aim at staying again in this hotel.
Vielen dank

The hotel is an institution just a stone throw's from Stephansplatz. The staff are smiley and helpful but not intrusive. I could have breakfast in the room with no extra charge which was great as I could leave my toddler to run around in the room and actually have a bite to eat. The room was generously sized, very quiet and well insulated. The bathrooms are clean. The deco is traditional, a little old but not cookie cutter like hotel chains (although I think there are some modernised, bigger rooms but I wanted something traditional)
For some reason, I don't know if it was because the rooms are very warm (I turned the thermostat down but it still felt warm) or the pillows were a little flat, but I slept very badly the two nights I stayed there, which was very strange as there was no noise and I usually don't have problems sleeping in places other than home. The bathtub was also not hermetic so the water leaked out as I was taking a bath.

Outstanding boutique hotel - best I have encountered in 40+ years of international and domestic travel! The hotel is artfully, masterfully designed in a way that anticipates guests’ needs in every way while preserving (enhancing) the “old world” European charm of a classic property.
Breakfast room: gorgeous - with a variety of excellent made-to-order dishes complimenting a generous buffet offering that has something new every day (including, unexpectedly, exquisite desserts).
The front desk people make it clear, by their actions and attitudes (each in their authentically individual ways) that they enjoy their guests and what they’ve chosen to do for work. The housekeeping is thorough and impeccable while respecting the quirks of how we like to arrange our hotel room. Everyone handled our need for English (as regrettably monolingual Americans) capably and with grace.
The creative and conspicuously “high end” design of the typically small bathroom included flawlessly gleaming chrome fixtures, two separate sinks (!), and every feature and “nice touch” imaginable (e.g., generous molded bath tub with double glass doors to make showering with dual rain and mounted hand-held heads a treat). The chandelier in the center of our room had a dozen LED bulbs (warm light) to supplement four lamps and an entryway ceiling light making this the only place during our six-week visit to four European countries where we didn’t feel it was “a little bit dark.”
Different Viennese chocolate when we arrived, once again during our stay, and as a little surprise gift right after we checked out.
This Koenig von Ungarn is, we learned, perhaps the oldest physical hotel property in Austria (!) but its artistic design and warmly modern service execution actually tempt us to return to Vienna - what an indescribably delicious experience - and yes, located on a lane just one long block from the iconic St Stephen basilica.
p.s. A photo of the breakfast room is attached.
They asked us this question - I struggled to come up with a useful observation because their interest in knowing was obviously sincere. But, with time and if only to strengthen the credibility of this admittedly over-the-top positive review, I recall that our windows looking out on the quiet street could benefit from more effective black-out drapery.

We loved the covered terrace bar area for an evening drink and afternoon tea. The breakfast had a wide selection of food and was delicious. All the staff were utterly charming and helpful. We would definitely recommend this horse.
