About this house rental
This 3200 sq.ft.open floor plan home show cases large picturesque windows throughout. A cooks delight, the gourmet kitchen provides a large prep island with stainless steel appliances, The cozy living room with wood burning kiva fireplace, baby grand piano is great for relaxing and enjoying company. In good weather the large walk out covered patio with wood burning fireplace and gas barbecue is perfect for entertaining or just having some quiet time. After a day of skiing, shopping, or site seeing, have a soak in the hot tub with a view of mountains in the day and stars at night. The master suite is equipped with a large steam sauna and free standing soaking tub for your enjoyment. Each bedroom has it's own on suite bathroom. For extra guests we have a study with a fold out couch and 2 roll away beds available as well. Guests will have use of the large garage equipped with a ping pong table. We are located on a quiet culdesac on 5 acres with ample parking. During the winter this property can provide some nice sledding or snow shoeing. We are located just 10 minutes from the historic square and have easy highway access. We believe you will enjoy the special magic that Casa Colibri provides.

Spent Christmas at Casa Colibri and it was wonderul! The owners had the inside and outside of home decorated so festively. The view is amazing. The owners had supplied everything we could have ever needed, Christmas tree and decor throughout the house, Christmas dishes & mugs, tons of herbs & spices and coffee in the kitchen, lots of big beach towels for the hot tub, etc. The bedrooms were large and inviting, the piano was fun, the wood burning fireplace was fantastic! Again, the large windows with the views of the mountains was amazing. Could have stayed forever! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

My husband and I have rented houses in Santa Fe for many years, and this house is absolutely the best. Photos do not do it justice. The layout, decor, furniture, and views are unequaled. It is in a very serene location, and the owner is great to deal with. Our four weeks we spent here went way too fast, and we will return!

A good friend who lives in Santa Fe says it best, after our dinner on the gorgeous terrace: "I truly never sat anywhere in Santa Fe in the past 20+ years that was as breathtakingly beautiful as your VRBO home." Another review remarks that the pictures don't do the house justice, and we agree, the sense of space inside and out just can't be captured in photos.
We were there for a week of record breaking heat (100F), but in the shade on the porch the lovely breeze made sitting outside comfortable almost all the time. The 100 mile/180 degree vista is stunning, the furnishings and artwork and architecture are, too. Master suite is a wonderful apartment by itself, two separate bedroom wings provide a lot of privacy. It seems much larger than it it. Location is away from town, with scenic drives to get there (and to the opera) in 15 minutes, and markets and restaurants deliver.
Host Bob Gonzalez was very helpful in every way.
It was well worth our trips from Seattle and Philadelphia.

This home will inspire those with exceptional taste and high end expectations! Thank you Bob and Family for being gracious hosts in your amazing home complete with: steam shower at master, victoria albert tub at master, hot tub with views of stars and mountains, grills, spacious open concept gourmet kitchen and wall of windows everywhere to see the breath-taking views of all mountains, game room at garage for kids, not to mention my yukon denali XL with luggage racks and trailer fit in the huge 3 car garage, only 5-10 miles from plaza and only 30-45 min to ski santa fe! This home will not disappoint, we will be back!

This is a beautiful home with incredible views from walls of windows. The kitchen is well equipped and all 3 bedrooms are en suite. It was a little too cool to enjoy the large deck, but the hot tub was nice.

This property is fabulous! We were on our annual Girls trip to Santa Fe and Casa Colibri was a perfect choice. The house is spacious, quiet, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Can't say enough good things about it. Bob was very gracious and helpful. We will be back.

My husband and I brought both of our moms to Santa Fe as a joint 75th Birthday present. Bob’s beautiful home was the perfect setting for our celebration. Plenty of room for all of us to have our own space with 3 immaculate bedrooms and baths. The center living space and kitchen allowed us to gather and connect (we even cancelled dinner plans one evening and cooked in because the kitchen area was so inviting). We had fun with the ping pong in the garage, soaked under the stars in the hot tub, napped in front of the fire place, and gazed repeatably at the breathtaking view along the outdoor patio. The furnishings, linens, kitchen supplies, bath products were all thoughtful and high end. We appreciated being slightly away from the busy-ness of downtown Santa Fe (that said, pretty much everything from restaurants to shopping was only a 15 minute drive). We wanted for nothing and are grateful for such a warm and inviting home to have shared such a special time with our mothers. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a gorgeous and well-appointed property! From firewood to bath bombs, laundry supplies to dominos, this lovely home had it all. The expansive views were breathtaking. We had a difficult time pulling ourselves away each day for Santa Fe adventures. Bob was a responsive host, quick to answer questions. We’re already talking about a return visit.

Casa Colibri was the perfect getaway to celebrate a 40th birthday. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, the bathrooms sparkly clean and the outdoor deck was ideal. We would definitely return here.

From check-in until check-out everything was perfect! We have rented numerous property's over the years and this property was by far the best provisioned / equipped!

This house will absolutely exceed your expectations. The photos are lovely, but do not give the full impression of how the large windows and nana-wall showcase the views. As Bob told us, the view Is the entertainment. Mornings on the deck were so quiet and still, the word tranquility is the best description. There are skylights throughout the home, allowing in natural light in nearly every room, including the garage. The house was so well stocked, we almost thought the owners forgot to remove their kitchen supplies. High end appliances made cooking a pleasure. We never used the large pellet smoker, but the grill worked great. Every bedroom had its own bathroom/shower, and watching the stars from the hot tub at night was perfect. Bob was very easy to contact, and a perfect host. All six of us could not have been more pleased. Five Stars!

We stayed at Casa Colibri last week and loved every minute of our time in the home. We have stayed at many 5-star homes and have VERY HIGH expectations for the homes we rent. Casa Colibri was among the very best of the BEST. The windows throughout the house are awe-inspiring - the view changes every time you walk by as the clouds and sun highlight the mountains. Better than the pictures.
Obviously professionally decorated and had everything we needed to make our time in Santa Fe far better than we imagined. Bob (the host) was informative and responsive. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

We loved this home - perfect for 3 couples. HOWEVER, it is a good distance out of town 10 - 15 minutes and the beds! We ask if any were foam or had foam toppers as one person has a medical condition that is not compatable with foam. I was told they were not - regular box springs but, in fact, they were foam. It made it extremely uncomfortable and unfortunate for my partner who got little sleep and had significant pain. Too bad because otherwise, this property is a 5+

The breathtaking views, the deck, hot tub, beautiful kitchen, fabulous decor, were all noteworthy. Even nicer than the photos, if possible. The house is also thoughtfully stocked with everything a visitor might want, coffee, blankets, shower amenities etc. I can’t wait to visit again someday, highly recommend!

Beautiful, unique, tranquil, and noteworthy are words that come to mind when I think of Casa Colibri. Casa Colibri is truly one-of-a-kind and a wonderful place for escaping the city, outdoor enthusiasts, connecting with family and friends, or anyone looking for a reset. Bob is a masterful curator, carefully selecting each item for Casa Colibri with a laser focus on details and authenticity to the region. The views are stunning and there’s a whole list things that make you feel like you are living in luxury. The hot tub, fireplace, and steam shower for example. Bob does a fantastic job of supporting his guests and it really shows. He is an excellent communicator and extremely responsive. I chose this location for my family’s first holiday gathering in many years and it was perfect. Enough space for everyone and also in close proximity to our relatives who live nearby and downtown Santa Fe. Definitely check out Meow Wolf if you visit Santa Fe. It’s something spectacular and within 15 minutes from the house. If you enjoy nature, artwork, photography, hiking, stargazing, or want to reset, unplug, and relax, add Casa Colibri to your list. it's a rare gem!

House was fantastic. Great architecture, and very well set up for a rental stay. Only slight negative is it’s a 15 minute drive to the downtown area.. but at the same time it’s super quiet and peaceful with wonderful views
