Easy walk to the Vatican and all the major sites in Rome. The noise coming from “music” playing Saturday night with a heavy disco beat could be heard through the closed windows into the early morning hours.

Could walk to anything we wanted to go to a very easily. Very close to all of the historical monuments like Trevi fountain, colosseum, pantheon, and even Vatican. And very spacious, and overall, very happy with the property. Only negatives were that the air conditioner in the living room was not functioning, though not too bad when you open the windows at night. The other negative was that one of the bathrooms did not have a shower, but only a bathtub.

As the overview describes, these apartments are in a great location, and are large and nicely appointed. Having 2 apartments side by side is also very convenient. That said, there are major problems - the most important of which is the noise. The apartments are half a block from a bar that plays extremely loud music into the wee hours of the morning. Only 2 of the 6 "bedrooms" are spaces quiet enough to get some sleep. This was true 6 of the 8 nights that we were there. And even the two "quiet" bedrooms have issues on weekdays, as there is currently construction across the alley that begins early in the morning. In addition, we had significant plumbing issues in one of the apartments, such that you could not flush the toilet at night in one of the bathrooms (extremely loud noise) and had to go through someone's bedroom to get to the other toilet. The tub in that bathroom also did not drain. Hot water was not always available in the bathroom with the problematic toilet. Lastly, there was no clothes dryer as advertised, so anything you wash must be hung-dried. We washed one load and it took so long to dry, we didn't attempt another. The plumbing issues can be fixed, but not sure how you deal with the noise unless the city passes an ordinance. I thought maybe it was an Easter weekend problem but read a review from January that I hadn't seen before we booked (it was in French and the English reviews were so positive I didn't bother to translate) and they had the same noise issue.

We had a great trip with 8 family members, which we split between 2 apartments. Excellent neighborhood with plenty to do, see and eat, close proximity to all major sights. We had a wonderful time. The apartments were well furnished and had all we needed.

We were two families renting both apartments, 4 adults and 6 kids ages 8-14. Same floor and very easy to go back and forth between the two. Very helpful hosts Tania and Pierluigi! Booked Colosseum and Vatican tours through Tania which were great! Cheaper than on the trip sites, also smaller group tours with knowledgeable and engaging guides which were perfect. Very long lines at Vatican that we skipped, truly like fast pass lane at Disney! Pierluigi arranged transportation for us which was on time and clutch as we needed to leave for the airport at 4am. Note that he works with a private company so it costs more, but reliability is better, as opposed to taxis which may or may not show up and definitely won’t wait on you. Easy to walk to several major sites from these apartments, including Trevi fountain, Pantheon, and Vatican (which is a little farther but easily doable). We walked to the Colosseum as well which was the longest walk but so much history to see along the way that it was worth it. Several restaurants right out the door. Views of bell tower and dome from some of the windows were magical. Apartments well equipped with everything we needed. This is a busy area so there was noise at night, but the location and short time we were there made this ok. I recommend this place for sure.

If we come back, I will try to avoid coming during the hottest time of the year. One apt had perfect AC, the second apt had okay AC, which made it more difficult and we could not use the kitchen in that apt at all. However, the property is so unique because of the location and the ability to have two apartments right next to eachother. The first apt where the AC worked well was beautifully appointed. I would definitely rent this apt again.
