Check in staff was fantastic! Florian was great as were all other employees! Curtains had some issues getting off their tracks. Restaurant staff extremely responsive and friendly!! Coffee in room needs to be stronger. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

I can’t say enough about our experience at the Almanac Palais. We had reservations at another hotel that were cancelled unbeknownst to us until we arrived. Even though it was not an Expedia error, Expedia escalated our predicament to and upgraded our initial accommodations to Almanac Palais. Upon arrival, Almanac Palais upgraded us from a Junior Suite to their Palais Suite. It is in a beautiful location across the street from City Stadt. We received outstanding and kind service from the reception desk, concierge, housekeeping and porters to the dining room personnel. The breakfast menu is gourmet, try the Eggs Benedict topped with caviar! Vienna is a beautiful city and our visit at Almanac Palais was outstanding! I’d like to thank Hector at Expedia for the kindness and empathy he showed as well as his persistence in finding us a different hotel at a very busy time of the year in Vienna. I hope to go back someday! Thank you dear friends at Almanac Palais!

The hotel is centrally located and walkable. The service was great, especially from Danny. The spa is nice as well & really relaxing. We were given a room upgrade & welcome snack. The only reason it is not five stars is because the coffee machine did not work. The two tvs in the room are back to back & when you turn one on, they both turn on to different channels. We were in the spa at 10:30 in the morning. There was no one there & we had to wait until someone came to turn on the facilities, but the spa opens at 6AM. It is a great hotel with a few small things to fix to make it amazing.

An elegant, modern small hotel at the edge of the inner city, overlooking a park. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The in house restaurant was very good though functional in decor. Despite traffic outside my room was exceptionally quiet. It’s a great launch point into all the city has to offer.

This beautiful hotel is on the edge of the Innere Stadt and within easy walking distance of the Hofburg, St. Stephen’s, and the Opera, so there’s tons of restaurants and shopping around! The rooms themselves are also beautiful and fully automated. We were upgraded to a suite, which was amazing. The integrated shower and tub were awesome. Highly recommend!

Superb location, in close proximity to opera house, museums quarter, main cathedral, two Christmas markets, subway, in other words very convenient for walking everywhere. The hotel amenities were all renovated and in excellent condition. The kindness and attention to detail from the concierge ( Florian) , front desk staff , cleaning staff and other helpers was impeccable. The room was touched twice a day to make sure for absolute comfort before retreating for the night. The pillow spray was a nice touch too. Can’t say enough good words about this hotel

The hotel staff are the best I have met. They are very nice, hospitable and considerate. Particularly those working at the breakfast section are extremely kind. I will definitely come back next time visiting Vienna!

Beautiful hotel and great location.

Firstly a beautiful hotel that has potential to be excellent. Some staff are wonderful and a real credit. However, the majority are lacking in training, or direction from management. The hotel is new and you expect teething problems, however the rates should reflect this. We paid over £750 for 2 nights. We had to be moved from the first room as it flooded when we out the shower on. They kindly upgraded us, and the room was lovely. However! The temp controls do not work. Both nights we had these set to 16 degrees and we woke several times during the night, to the room being boiling hot as it was blowing out hot air. The reason for this was apparently “the ghost”. The lifts had not been commissioned to go to the spa, so not only did we have to walk through reception we also had to walk through a meeting room with over 50 people in to get to the spa. Whilst in the spa, we were asked how the pool temp was. It was freezing. When mentioning this to staff they all said they knew! So why has this not been rectified. We tried to have a drink one night but waited 15 mins and did not get served so left. Breakfast was a shambles. I waited 45 mins for a glass of orange juice. Plates were not taken away, just left on tables. The highlight was meeting the chef who was wonderful and the food was very good. There are so many accommodation options in Vienna I would not risk staying here again.
