Come experience a true castle in the mountains of beautiful Big Bear Lake. This spectacular home has three levels equipped with prestigious interior designs and luxurious amenities. On the entry-level, you’ll find the main living space with an L-shaped sectional, two leather recliner chairs, and a mounted flatscreen tv. A stunning stone fireplace provides warmth to the entire room, giving you the perfect spot to defrost after a long day on the slopes. Step into the gourmet chef's kitchen, equipped with restaurant-quality stainless steel appliances and beautiful granite countertops. Main deck access can be found through a set of glass doors. Step outside and take in the incredible views as you relax on the patio couches. As the sun goes down, gather around the fire pit and make lasting memories. Through the kitchen, you’ll also find a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. Around the corner from the kitchen is the game, where hours of fun and entertainment can be found. Play a game of pool at the pool table or try your hand at shuffleboard. A foosball table and putting mat can also be found for you and your guests to enjoy. Mix up your favorite drinks at the full-size bar or step outside and enjoy the fresh air on the main floor deck while you wait for your turn. Two of the eight bedrooms can be found on the main floor, both offering king-size beds and seating areas with comfortable armrest chairs. We used the Edgewood Mansion for our family vacation at Big Bear. The house easily accommodated 8 adults and 8 children. While the home had a detached guesthouse we two additional bedrooms, we opted to have everyone sleep in the main house. We loved all the amenities the house had to offer (several family rooms, game room, gym, large hot tub, dining room and spacious kitchen). Feeding the family three times per day with the chef's kitchen was a snap. The house has ample counter space, cooktops, refrigerator/ freezer and appliances. We would rent the mansion again. Kids had fun inside and outside.

We were there on a pretty hot weekend. This house is advertised to have A/C, but it was not working, nor had it been for years, apparently. The management company came out to assess; there was little they could do with a system that was in such disrepair it would require a complete overhaul. We tried to open windows, but many of the mechanisms were broken, and many windows didn't have screens. We were so desperate for cool air at night we just put up with the mosquitos. Pretty lousy for such a high priced rental! Other than that, it's a weird set up (4 bedrooms on the top floor but only 2 bathrooms, including the private one in the master). It was a fun place to explore, but in desperate need of maintenance both inside and out. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking utensils and appliances, which I wish we had known before we packed. This would probably be a really fun rental in cooler weather, but I'm not sure I can recommend it.
